Santoro Country House

It s a little gem in Sicily near Etna. The gardens and the pool area are lovely. Very quite area and modern decor. Staff are very nice and have good English. They make you feel welcome. The decor of this country house is lovely and done with great taste. Thanks to Annalisa for taking care of us every time we come here.

We stayed for two nights in May 2023 and drove there via rental car from Palermo. [Side note: The drive through the Nebrodi mountains is breath-taking but not recommended for those unaccustomed to mountain driving or who experience car sickness.] The property is elegant, serene and romantic. Annalisa is warm and welcoming and makes you feel like royalty. In fact, all the staff do. We were given a free room upgrade and accommodated for a special individual cooking class by Chef Giovanni, (who is a local celebrity chef,) which was superb and fun. If you stay here, please be sure to have dinner in their restaurant and book a cooking class, true highlights, not to be missed. The location is perfect, (between Randazzo and Linguaglossa,) to tour the Etna wine region and to also visit Mt Etna. Rooms are quiet, spacious, modern, with air conditioning, refrigerators.The bed is luxurious and comfortable. There is a large terrace with some of the rooms that provide views of the mountains and wineries. The breakfast is plentiful and tasty, with the added bonus that they had the best espresso and cappuccino we had in all of Sicily. If you're a wine aficionado, consider a wine tour with Etna Wine Lab to learn about the Etna DOC and how wine is evolving in the region. Also, we happened into the local scenic downtown of Castiglione di Sicilia, and climbed the winding streets to the Castello di Lauria where we discovered a enoteca with amazing wines and a fabulous view of the town, valley and Mt Etna.

We spent an excellent week at Santoro Country House, the facilities and the service were all outstanding set in the most beautiful surroundings! The place fully delivers on the laid back luxury suggested by the name, thanks to the professional and accommodating management and personnel going the extra mile. Our dinners were exquisite, the food is to die for, compliments to the chef once again! We had divine wines recommended by the very knowledgeable and utterly professional waiting staff. We will definitely come back again!

Wonderfull hotel near the north side of mount Etna.
Rooms are very nice, beatifull garden arround the building, and very nice restaurant with very good breakfast.
But most important and the ex-factor of this place is Analisa!!!
She is very knowledgeable, knows everything about the area and also far away - from restaurants to wineries and all sort of places to visit!
She is allways there to help, with the right advise.
Whatevever she reccomended to us was the best advise!
Without her, the place would be like any other hotel...
We are very gratefull to her!!!

Absolutely gorgeous location, the staff was very nice and professional. I’ve never experienced this level of professionalism anywhere else in Sicily (especially in this price range). We also had the best food experience at Santoro’s restaurant, even though Sicily is a heaven for foodies especially if you know the right places to go. I travel to Sicily quite often, I’m in love with the Etna region, but it was by far the most beautiful experience. I highly recommend.

A wonderfull country hotel with around 14 rooms. Located on the side of mount etna a 1000 meter above sea level. Everything is top nouch from rooms to pool. Fantastic view of the valley and vineyards. Lots to do. Cooking classes, wine tours or tastings. Great restaurant!! The staff are the best. I booked 1 night. Ended up staying a week!!! Magical place. A true hidden gem.

Fantastic place to stay and visit, awesome atmosphere, dream like great hotel. We enjoyed everything during our one week stay especially the pool and the food. Nice service, nice people, highly recommended.

Bella proposta con solo 3 anni di vita. Palazzo storico ristrutturato con camere moderne e comode. Vi suggerisco quelle con balcone e vista strada. Non vi è un ristorante vero e proprio ma offrono piatti leggeri. Panini un po' "semplici" per prezzo pagato mentre cous cous buono.
Annalisa dello staff super gentile e attenta.
Piscina molto bella anche se freddina ed ottima proposta di conserve e lavorati dalla azienda storica Santoro.

Che bello scoprire una incantevole realtà turistica a pochi passi da casa! Desiderosi di un po’ di aria fresca e relax abbiamo conosciuto una splendida dimora, elegante, una eccellente ristrutturazione, personale molto attento, garbato e professionale (Annalisa sei speciale!), rilassante zona di verde e piscina rinfrescante in mezzo al curato verde, ottimi prodotti del territorio di propria produzione, presenti anche a colazione. Una vera oasi di pace… si ritorna e grazie davvero.

Posto splendido!!! Siamo partiti dalla città stanchi e stressati ma in soli 3 giorni ci siamo rigenerati fisicamente e mentalmente! Ci siamo sentiti accolti e coccolati per tutto il soggiorno. Grazie a tutto il personale dal direttore ad Annalisa così pure al sig. Giovanni ed i ragazzi di sala. Location meravigliosa e pulizia ineccepibile. Ci ritorneremo!!!!!!

Siamo a Castiglione di Sicilia, immersi nel verde ed in un contesto di relax e lusso. Struttura nuova e personale altamente qualificato. L accoglienza cordiale e calorosa. Camere spaziose e pulitissime,ed inoltri accolti da un benvenuto in camera consistente di una conserva della famiglia Santoro. Un parco verde con piscina e varie oasi di relax curato e fornito di tutti i comfort. Siamo stati al riatorante della.struttura e abbiamo iniziato la.serata con in ottimo aperitivo improvvisato per noi dal maitre Giovanni. Cena paradisiaca con le proposte dello chef Luca Facchinetti. Siamo stati benissimo. Bellissima esperienza. Consigliato e approvato

Una esperienza sensoriale immensità in colori profumi unica. In quella parte della provinci etnea rinomata per i pregiati vini, in un contesto paesaggistico di rara belkezza incastonato tra l'Etna ed i Nebrodi, è una struttura accogliente dove il cliente è ospite dove i piatti sono arte non semplice cibo tra l'altro materie prime eccellenti. Consigliabile.
