B&B Il Tanaceto

Photos on booking sites do not do justice to the beauty of this place. It's heaven on earth. The hosts have attention to detail and make every effort to be sure we are well served. Would definitely return at first opportunity.

The dreamiest agriturismo! It was a lovely stay, beautiful grounds with swimming pool, very comfortable and quiet rooms, delicious food, accomodating hosts, beautiful views all around, including of Mount Etna, and even more lovely that we could enjoy it with our dog!

A wonderful place, a wonderful feeling of peace and harmony with nature. The vineyards surrounding the property give the stay a special charm. The host Giovanna really tries to make everything perfect. Not only is she a good host, Giovanna is a great cook. We really enjoyed the food she prepared for us. Warm recommendation.

Fabolous stay. The rooms were comfortable, very easy to access and wonderful views & location. Owner was very helpful. Can't wait to visit again!

My sister and I stayed here for 1 night on our way from Cefalu to Taormina. We had an amazing stay and wish we could’ve stayed longer. Our hosts made us an amazing vegetarian dinner with some of the best food from our Sicily trip so far. Definitely try the wine made on the premises - both bottles we had were exceptional. The views are fantastic and the location is so peaceful (make sure to sit outside at night and look at the stars). Beautifully but simply decorated too. Highly highly recommend this place!

Came for one night. Ended up staying two. Amazing location. So much do around. Delicious dinner and breakfast.
The owners are welcoming and lovely.

The people working there are charming and so helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much, in the calm of nature surrounding the B&B. The host even arranged a visit for us in a winery right next to the place (10 min walking): really worth it for 40-50 euros. We also had our dinner in the B&B with homemade food, it was delicious and good portions. Our room was really cozy (we had the little private cabin) and very authentic (antiques)! We would go there anytime and we recommend this place a 100 %.

What an amazing place! My girlfriend and I stayed for 3 nights and this might be the best place we have ever stayed.
1. The location is perfect. View on Etna, in the mountains, overlooking the vineyard of Il tanaceto.
2. The pool, the beds and the relaxed atmosphere during the day. As well as the well ddcoraized room with great views.
3. The food!! We ate at il tanaceto all three nights. All three nights the food was amazing. Fresh vegetables, local wine, amazing pasta's and great local meat. All made by the hosts. Just prepare. The portions are huge, but you can't stop eating. Also fair and honest food and drinks pricing. Breakfast also well prepared. Especially the cakes :).
4. The hosts. The couple leading this is simply giving the best service you can imagine. Massimo is a proud winemaker and ensures you have everything you need during the day, whilst Giovanna was our main contact and the chef for two nights.
5. They helped us to book the etna tour. If you do take a tour, book via giovanna. She has great contacts.

Had the pleasure to spend a couple of days @#Il Tanaceto in Castiglione Di Sicilia. Beautiful place with such peacefulness and tranquility. Very attentive host with the option to have dinner specially cooked by Massimiliano and his wife.

Beautiful, tranquil great get away from it all. Pool and seating area fab. Staff lovely and friendly. Food perfecto.

A very nice place to stay in. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. The food is delicious and the rooms are great. The building also has a nice atmosphere and is very historic.

Charming Country-Resort with great Hospitality - recommanded!!!

Luogo meraviglioso immerso nella natura, ideale per riposarsi nel silenzioso verde e partire alla scoperta dell'Etna, che sia per un trekking o per un'esperienza enogastronomica eccezionale. Giovanna, la meravigliosa padrona di casa, offre una cena gustosa cucinata con amore utilizzando i prodotti del territorio. Ortima anche la colazione. Il b&b si sviluppa all'interno di un antico palmento e le stanze sono arredate con gusto, coniugando la tradizione e lo stile, pulizia impeccabile. Completa l'esperienza la bella piscina, dove ci siamo rinfrescati e rilassati nelle lunghe giornate estive passate in Sicilia con la nostra bambina di 6 mesi. Consigliatissimo!

Sopra ogni possibile aspettativa! Abbiamo alloggiato con la nostra famiglia e abbiamo apprezzato l'ospitalità della padrona di casa, Giovanna, che prepara personalmente le cene utilizzando principalmente prodotti locali e naturali e allestisce una colazione sontuosa, con pane e appena sfornato dal vicino panificio. Più che una vacanza, una vera e propria esperienza immersiva nei sapori e nella terra siciliana.
