Five stars is an understatement for the greatness of this place. Here, you can truly enjoy dining with locals instead of a restaurant full of tourists. The ambience was family-like.

The service was perfect: the waitress was super nice and there was no need to hurry at all. Our drinks and pizzas were served very quickly after ordering.
The pizzas were absolutely amazing. When served, you could tell they had come right out of the oven and that the ingredients used were fresh and of high quality. Do keep in mind that the pizzas are very big, so you might want to share :)

Overall, I would definitely recommend this place. Don’t skip a dinner at Il Saracino while staying in Sarteano!

A perfect place to escape the tourists and dine alongside locals.

My wife and I went after exploring the town of Sarteano. Extremely authentic experience. Small family run restaurant. We asked for his recommendation, and each got 1 of the 2 dishes and shared. Both were incredible. Friendly owners, great prices, highly recommend.

If it were possible to give more than 5 stars I would definitely have given them! Very authentic ambiance and great service. Food is amazing, great quality of products and at a very good price. Definitely will come back when visiting this area!

When you think of "Italian restaurant" you think of Il Saracino.This is a small cosy familial restaurant with very good and a very kind service. Probably the best value for money you can find in Sarteano. Note that pizza is solely served at dinner and that the menu is updated daily.

So tasty!! We were looking for a local spot with tasty pasta and found the perfect place. Everything was tasty and the pasta was so fresh. We got the house red and loved it! Also family owned and everyone was so kind. A perfect restaurant to enjoy good food and company!

We arrived just before they closed for Siesta and they still welcomed us and were really friendly. They offer no pizza for lunchtime but the pasta dishes were really tasty. Even got a bottle of limoncello on the house in the end. It's not a very touristy place but a very authentic Italian restaurant which we prefer anyways. Would definitely recommend!

beautiful little city with interesting history

Eigentlich waren wir hier nur, weil das Lokal, in das wir ursprünglich wollten, kurzfristig geschlossen war - zum Glück!
Hätten wir gewusst, welches Juwel hinter der schlichten, äußerlich nicht ganz so einladenden Fassade steckt, wären wir öfter gekommen.
Wir hatten Pizzen und Gerichte der Tageskarte und man kann nur sagen: alles
Super!
Die Pizzen dünn, knusprig und riesig. Pasta und Fleisch gute Portionen mit tollem Geschmack. Der Nachtisch klasse.
Dazu kommt noch der richtig nette, flotte Service und der absolut faire Preis!
Absolute Empfehlung!

Gik ind fra gaden og fik det bedste måltid i Italien med udsøgt betjening og til fantastiske priser. Vi sad i den lille gårdhave og havde en forrygende aften med to små børn, der også nød det. Kan ikke anbefales nok, Raffaela og køkkenchefen er så dygtige. Vi glæder os til at komme tilbage en anden gang❤

Ho avuto modo di mangiare qui sia a pranzo con menù del giorno che a cena con un'ottima pizza. Da sola è in famiglia, tutto ottimo! Gentilissimo personale e atmosfera accogliente. La pizza era super così come la pasta e i contorni. Tornerò sicuramente :)

Petit restaurant sympa, dès que vous rentrez vous faites un saut dans les années 50. On peut manger aussi en terasse. Une petite carte, gage de fraîcheur, qui change au gré des saisons et de ce qu'il y a au marché. Les portions sont abondantes. Personnel accueillant et serviable. Si vous cherchez une adresse familiale, sans chichis je vous le recommande vivement ! Le charme de ce restaurant est sa déco, à ne pas changer!

Trattoria familiare piacevole e accogliente. Adatta a cene in famiglia e amici se si cerca un ambiente informale per far stare bene anche i più piccoli che sono sempre i benvenuti. Bagno pulitissimo, spazio all'aperto comodo. La pizza è davvero davvero ottima così come l'antipasto toscano che ho provato.

Sehr unscheinbar von außen. Innen Italien pur. Sehr freundlicher und schneller Service. Die Pizza ist sehr groß und sehr lecker. Aber auch die Nudel und Fleischgerichte überzeugen komplett.
Wer nicht dort war, hat definitiv etwas verpasst. 👍
