La Bandita Townhouse Hotel

During our recent visit to La Bandita restaurant, we were blown away by the exceptional dining experience. The food was simply exquisite, each dish full of flavor and beautifully presented. The wine selection was extensive, offering the perfect accompaniment to our meals. However, what truly set this restaurant apart was the incredible hospitality we received. The staff, including the owner, went above and beyond to make our visits truly unforgettable. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care made us and our children feel like valued guests. We were so enamored with our first visit that we couldn't resist returning for a second time. Look forward to our return!

La Bandita Townhouse was our favorite place we stayed during our trip across Italy. The junior suite was beautiful, modern, and spacious with beautiful views of the town and hills. The restaurant had the BEST food and we ended up eating there multiple nights, plus their amazing breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was great as it was located within the city, so you could easily take a stroll through town. I would highly recommend this hotel & restaurant to anyone going to Pienza!

Excellent restaurant in Pienza. Great service and nice setting. The waiter was very helpful and helped us select delicious wines to go along with our food. The burger was quite large but was slightly overcooked. The tiramisu is to die for!!!

Design hotels properties can be a hit or miss... La Bandita Townhouse is a music awards song of the year kind of hit!!!

The staff - front desk, resturant and housekeeping, were all amazing. Helped in every way and no request was too big for them to take care of. Always with genuine kindness and positive spirit.

The design is brilliant, breathing new modern esthetics into a historical building, all while maintaining the feel and integrity of the original architecture.

The room - we had the entry level room and still had plenty of space for all of our bags. It was sweet and every details was thought through. The soft product from toiletries to the free items at the bar were all thoughtful, and you can tell that this is a personal passion of the owners.

The food was a slam dunk, delivering fusion cuisine in one of the most classic regions in Italy, and yet managing to feel a natural part of its background.

As for the location - Pienza should be a stop on everyone who visits Tuscany, and La Bandita puts you at the heart of this magical town.

La Bandita is not just a hotel to consider if you are in the area, but it is worth a trip on its own right!

Excellent service. Environment is like from a movie. Literally hidden gem. If you are looking to have a dinner in Pienza with picture perfect Italian patio with delicious meal and glass of wine - you will LOVE this place.

An excellent small hotel built in an old convent. We stayed here for 5 days. The hotel is in the very heart of the Renaissance town of Pienza, in the historic center, 3 minutes' walk from the central square and the cathedral. Around it there are many restaurants and small shops with local delicacies. Access by car is impossible, but the city parking lot is about 200 meters away (3 minutes on foot).
My room was very large, with a comfortable bed and a large bathroom. The service was superb, the staff were always interested in us and our needs. There was some noise in my brother's room and the hotel reception gave him a new room.
The hotel has something like a lounge (they call it a library), there is free prosecco and non-alcoholic drinks there in the evening, there are also alcoholic drinks, and if the client drinks, he must sign up voluntarily so that they will be charged to the room bill (there is no staff). The hotel also has a superb restaurant with a great breakfast (complimentary with rooms), we visited twice for dinner - excellent food both Italian and international and a great selection of wine.
In conclusion: I highly recommend the hotel and I think it is one of the best I have ever been to.

We had two exceptional meals here while staying in Pienza. Everything was superb: the staff, the ambiance, the food, and the drinks. It is really lovely to sit in the garden with comfy pillows and a view of the bustling kitchen through the big windows. Seeing the chef grate black truffle onto my pasta made me all the more excited. The waitress we had really made our night – she was so enthusiastic, responsive, and sweet. Don't miss the tiramisu or amaro sampling. We cannot recommend La Bandita highly enough for a sophisticated yet laid back evening.

One of the best restaurants we’ve been to in Tuscany. The food is great and creative, portions are not too big which lets you try different dishes, the wine list is very rich. Tiramisu is definitely a must try!

I love this place! Despite being turned away at another restaurant for not having a reservation, I secured a table here without any issues. Every dish I ordered, from start to finish, was exceptional. The presentation was outstanding, the portions were perfect, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. I wholeheartedly recommend this place; you won't be disappointed. Get the Tiramisu!

My wife and I stopped in for lunch with our 8 month old baby. The burger was top notch… perfectly cooked, thick, medium rare patty with a delicious house sauce and melted pecorino.
The staff were so friendly and engaging with our baby. Getting him pasta to try and even taking him off our hands for a few minutes so we could enjoy our meal in peace. Excellent service. Thanks so much , we will return !!!

The best vegetarian burger I’ve ever tasted. Everyone else had a meat dish which was also very good but I had to comment on the burger as it was delicious.

Amazing food and experience. Their slow cooked pork belly and their Asian twist on beef tartare are a must!

Food was truly incredible. Had the asparagus egg starter, lamb chops main, and a delicious cake for dessert. Highly recommended the food is 100% worth the price.

The waiter Michael was very attentive and created a pleasurable atmosphere.

The lighting in the restaurant is romantic, the interior is chic and rustic.

From The Tartar & Freshest Salads to the Bandita Burger & the Sliced Peaches and Roast Duck with the best wine selection in The Val D'Orcia, we adore this menu & Chef.
The courtyard is magical to dine in, with our favorite table just outside the kitchen to watch Chef Davide prepare his fantastic creations!

I did not stay at the hotel, but I made a reservation at the Ristorante during my trip to Pienza (totally worth visiting). I was expecting the typical good food, good wine combo that you find in most of Tuscany, but the Ristorante was at a different level. Everything me and my wife had was perfect. The octopus with stracciatela (!) appetizer was tasty and well balanced. The raviolo with ossobuco and foie-gras was something I will not forget (just have it!) and even my wife (who is gluten intolerant) had a wonderful penne with pesto and parmigiano (yes, I had to try it). Then I had the tiramissu and I have to say it is, hands down, one of the best I ever had. On top of this fantastic meal in a wonderful medieval town, the Ristorante offers excellent wine by the glass (which is our default choice for lunch). I strongly recommend the Townhouse Ristorante!

What a pleasant experience at this lovely gem! The food was delicious and well balanced. Our ten-year-old son loved the Ossobuco Raviolo! Great options for vegetarians too. You can tell that Chef David respects the local ingredients taking them to the next level. Service was attentive and informative. Monica suggested a beautiful Sauvignon that perfectly enhanced our experience. The location is romantic with a cozy garden where to sip your wine or enjoy your espresso. Highly recommended!

I am pretty hard to please as a travel agent but this gem of an hotel is faultless, perfect location in the most charming little medieval town, stylish rooms and common areas, maybe the best food I had in Italy ( do try the Osso Bucco raviolo ). Loved the inclusions, delicious breakfast, the garden, the ... well everything. Service is friendly, personal and really caring from everyone. Must stay design hotel . Grazie for an amazing stay. I only came here for a meal as a friend recommended it as her favorite restaurant in Italy, and I can see why! The small touches and quality that goes into each dish makes any meal here one to remember.

By far one of my favorite meals in Tuscany! We drove from Montepulciano (about 20 mins) and came here by way of Katie Parla’s recommendation. I absolutely loved my meal - Ossobuco Raviolo. So delicious and filling! Service was exceptional, robust wine list, and creative menu. Next time I’m staying at the hotel and coming back for more!

*For parking: there are lots outside of Pienza, and it’s a short walk in. Definitely recommend giving yourself some time to explore the town.
