La Taverna del Pecorino - Pecorino,Formaggio,Cacio

I fell in love with this 4th generation establishment. The cheese and meats were amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed our tasting. We bought cheeses and oils and can’t wait for our shipment to arrive in the states. Would love to recreate the tasting with friends back home. Sadly the meats can’t be shipped to the states. You won’t be disappointed stopping here. 10 star experience!

Wonderful family owned and operated Pecorino specialist with exceptionally well crafted Pecorino cheeses, and located in the most amazing UNESCO Heritage village.

What a perfect stop! I had been given a recommendation to stop here and this shop was a highlight of our time in Pienza. We enjoyed a tasting of the different varieties of Pecarino cheese that they offer and enjoyed looking at all of the products they had for sale. Paula was so sweet with our children and patient to answer all of their questions. Thank you so much for the fantastic visit!

I would give it more stars if I could. What a cool shop. Tons of local cheeses and cured meats as well as pasta, oils, vinegars, seasonings and more. The young lady behind the counter was amazing. She was so helpful getting my wife and I the perfect cheeses and vacuum sealed them so we could safely travel back home with them. She deserves a raise

I am so happy we found this neat little shop! We bought some cheeses, honey and jam, breads, olives, and meats that were sliced right in front of us. Then we drove out on the hillside and had a roadside picnic!!! I wish we asked for the lady's name, but the store owner was super friendly and helpful!

As you walk into this small shop the essence of the cheeses and meats are overwhelmingly delightful. The warm greetings and conversations with both the tour guide and the store owner and all the food and oil samples made this stop a memorable experience. So here we are back in the US using google earth pro to return to Via Condetti to find La Taverna del Pecorino to order more of their White Balsamic Vinegar. We have to have this white balsamic vinegar on almost everything we eat, it is so good! We will return there, hopefully many more times.

Visited to pick up some Olive Oil to take home, 1st class service. Lady behind the counter was welcoming and spoke 5 languages, we English have a lot to learn!

Lovely little shop, the owner gave us samples of pecorino cheese and local pork sausages that tasted incredible! We also tried local olive oil and red vinegar. A little gem of a store in a beautiful part of Tuscany- does it get any better?

In the hometown of pecorino this is the place to be to taste and buy this amazing cheese. A wide variety of different kinds of pecorino. Soft and young, till hard and aged. Or even with truffle. And if you want to take it home with you for later use they can vacuum it for you. Great service and very enthusiastic welcome. Love it

my wife and I were there a few weeks ago the shop is small and Mateo the owner made us all feel welcome . We sampled the meats cheeses and the different olive oils and dressing everything was outstanding. Mateo even took us for some espresso after the tasting .
