We had the most incredible time at Podere Il Casale and absolutely loved our guide/instructor, Francesca. We signed up for a pasta making class but what we got was way more than that. We loved the tour of the farm with all the animals and learning about how they make their pecorino di Pienza. It is so clear how much love and hard work this family has put into making this dream farm a reality. Our whole experience was really very precious and we will never forget it. Thank you so much for making us feel at home on your farm and teaching us so much about the local cuisine and culture❤

Came here for dinner and came away impressed. The food was delicious, fresh, and quintessentially Tuscan with much of it coming from the farm. The pecorino di Pienza was outstanding and well worth the trip. The carpaccio was also delicious. This is a farm setting so expect a dirt road to get to restaurant and expect animals and campers. But this makes it a better experience. The service was great and they provided helpful suggestions regarding the wine and food. They clearly take pride in their food. For dinner, the views are lovely. I can't recommend this restaurant enough.

Had a beautiful tour of the farm! Our tour guide was great at explaining everything and answering our questions. She did very well speaking English and was easy to understand. We really enjoyed the cheese, meat and wine tasting after. All the workers will so nice and welcoming. Love the farm to table aspect and that everything they serve they make. Can’t wait to take the items we bought home to use when cooking/eating! Thank you!!

If you are looking for the perfect, authentic, charming agroturistic experience in Montalcino, then you have here the top one. We are so happy that we have been reccomended the place, because we had the chance to taste the greatest salad, porchetta, chicken and fresh pasta ever. Everything is homemade, and the ranch is surrounded by well maintained gardens and animals. Perfect for lunch. Amazing view!

Delicious fresh organic meal had in front of a fascinating stone fireplace of carved circus animals. Gazpacho and peach sorbet (not together!) were particularly delicious. Val d’Orcia has so many great restaurants we are happy to add this one to the list of regular spots for an excellent meal. Their own wine and olive oil were appreciated. Located down one of my favorite roads to Monticchiello on the eastern side of Pienza with a beautiful view over the valley.

We had lunch here as well as a cooking class. The food is awesome and the views even more spectacular. They emphasize slow food-good, clean, and fair food. As such, almost everything they serve comes from their farm. I would also recommend the cooking class as you get to make several pastas and sauces and then enjoy the meal.

We took a pasta cooking class, and ate what we cooked. Francisca taught us to make 3 pastas, which we did, and we ate it. It was incredible, as was she. All the ingredients came from the farm, located here. We highly recommend her class and the venue. BTW, the view is also incredible, out of an illustrated book of fables. Just beautiful. Highest recommendation.

A wonderful experience - we did their cheese tour and tasting and it was a highlight! Julia was kind, fun and informative, and we got to meet the animals behind the cheese. The cheese was incredible, and was paired with 3 wine tastings whilst overlooking an incredible view.

What can I say... From where can I start? 0 km products turned into the most mouthwatering flavours, through dishes that define pleasure and culinary satisfaction. It's the little things. The full flavoured olive oil the fresh salad from the garden the combination of flavours between ordinary produce, turned into masterful plates. What can I also say about their wine. The Antiope! The rose masterpiece! Super recommended. Just go! Oh and prices are down to earth.

A last minute decision turned into a wonderful experience. Due to approaching bad weather, we decided to go to the farm for a cheese tasting (or restaurant visit) and for our son (1.5yo) to see farm animals. Upon arrival we talked to the owners - they were fully booked for lunchtime (cheese tasting/cooking classes and restaurant), but the owners were so kind to allow us to walk around their farm so our son could see their animals (sheep, goats, cows, chicken, pigs, geese, dogs, peacocks …). Unfortunately, before we could visit their shop (and say goodbye to the piglets - my son was still crying in the car about it 🫣), it started to rain and we had to run to our car. It was a great experience for our son and we also enjoyed walking around the farm. Thank you again!

Absolutely stunning location! Had the Tuscan soup, ham meatballs and sheep milk pudding for dessert. It was all fantastic. So tasty and good sized portions. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic experience of life in Tuscany!

We had lunch today upon recommendation from where we are staying and can really highly recommend it. Not only is the food really good but the view is absolutely breathless, finally the service is perfect. Totally worth the drive on a rural road

We had a truffle hunting experience organised by the Rosewood and Podere Il Casale with Pier Paolo and Martha who were incredibly understanding (we arrived an hour late due to a wrong address given and then getting lost on the way to their location) and knowledgable. We learnt interesting facts about the truffle hunting process and had a fun time with the dogs. We then had a farm tour followed by lunch at their restaurant overlooking the Val D’Orcia. The food was delicious and I loved the fact that you could purchase the same cheeses you taste during lunch at their shop.

Tuscany lives and thrives at Podere Il Casale. Sometimes you find luck and sometimes luck finds you. PIC takes luck out of the experience. Perfect time today. Thanks to all the hardworking folks who make PIC a memory worth keeping, sharing and revisiting. Prego!
