Spiaggia di Vendicari

A wildlife gem on the southern tip of Sicily. Spend an hour or an entire day there and you won’t get bored. If you are into ornithology this is not short of a paradise! Take it as a natural stop for a longer day visiting Noto, or make it as a standalone stop (maybe paired with dinner in Marzamemi)

Brilliant white sandy beaches (with few people), shallow emerald sea waters with views of crumbling archeological (old tuna processing buildings closed in 1940's). NOTE: flat concrete path from entrance to beach, which seems reasonable for wheelchairs.

No entry fee, just parking fee 3 eur. Nice walk paths and possibility to birdwatching, we didnt see the flamingos but its said, they are usually here..

Sandy beach perfect for children, gentle slope with almost crystal clear water.
Just be aware that there is no official parking and there is a walk of about 1km from the reserve entrance.

No doubts. This place must be seen to get the most relaxed time in vacations

Unspoiled beach in the beautiful setting of the natural reserve. For nature lovers. On the way to the beach there is a nice place where to taste some local food and drinks. I also suggest taking a short walk to admire the flamingos.

Superb wild and clean beach with a beautiful landscape. Is a long beach, with very fine sand.

A lovely place to visit, clean clear sea and clean sandy beach. There is however an entrance fee so not exactly a public beach as such. No lido, bring your own umbrella and help to keep this place nice, TAKE YOUR RUBBISH WITH YOU!!!

Do not heed those who grumble about the "algae" - what you actually find on the beach are simply the rests of a seagrass ("Poseidonia Oceanica") that covers the sea bed. Complaining about it is like complaining about dead plants in a forest! This is not the beach of a seaside hotel.

This a fantastic place for the nature lovers, offering crystal clear seawater, a wild beach, and the possibility of walking in a protected area with its fascinating local flora, fauna and geology (there's also a small informative museum). And the remains of the "tonnara", a humble piece of industrial architecture, taking on a strange beauty in its isolation against the blue sky, now almost resemble an ancient temple...

It takes a little walk to get there, and thank god for that, as it probably keeps away those who are more comfortable in shopping mall.
