My lunch at @becco_dellacivetta was another unforgettable experience from the trip. Such a delicious meal with the beautiful view of Castelmezzano, and the service was great too!

Everything from the appetizer to the dessert was super yummy! Loved how they played with ricotta cheese in the artichoke appetizer and the mousse dessert. The expo pasta was cheesy and crunchy at the same time, creating a unique texture. The lamb looks simple but was very well cooked and seasoned. This place is a must go for anyone visiting the area!

The service offered by the waiter was exceptional. His colleague served us our Gin and Tonic that was beyond our expectations and we were so surprised to have it lit in front of us and with the generous lime, marshmallow and rosemary was delicious. We all loved our meals and would particularly recommend the veal sirloin and the red and yellow tomato pasta with almonds. The best I have ever had.
They were accomadating with the request by one of our parties for a gluten free meal and had bread for her on the ready. Don't walk past this restaurant

Excellent restaurant where to eat typical dishes. Very good price/quality ratio. I have taken dumplings with mushrooms and the ricotta cheese inside was fantastic, as second dish I have tasted a perfectly cooked lamb with boiled potatoes cutlets crisped outside by oven cooking and a final ice-cream with almonds, dried figs and wild fennel seeds. Just 37 € for all this, a bottle of water and a glass of good wine. Furthermore the staff is kind and talkative despite of the many costumers to handle. Warmly recommended as the visit to this wonderful village.

Great restaurant in Castelmezzano! Delicious upscale takes on Lucanian cuisine. The Strascinati EXPO and the lamb with fried potatoes were both excellent!

Absolutely loved this restaurant. Best food I’ve had in Italy so far. The staff were amazing and the view was beautiful.

We were a walking tour of 14 and they took great care of us. The food was fabulous and very typical of the region. If you are in the area, it would be a definite visit. They picked the dishes for us so I am not sure what they were called but it was wonderful.

I guess this is the taste of true Italy! Absolutely delicious meals and desserts for reasonable prices. High prodessional service and spectacular view from terrace of the restaurant. Definitely recommended!

this is the most ancient Restaurant in Castelmezzano, open from 1990, we found out about this Restaurant reading the Michelin guide, that awarded it with a bib gourmand: absolutely amazing, we loved the lamb and the amazing dessert made by Chef Maria Antonietta Santoro

Located in Castelmezzano, this is the best restaurant you will eat at. The food, service and views were all incredible. The pasta has been the best we have had on our trip through Italy. It’s no wonder why this restaurant has earned a Michelin star. The crushed peppers were the perfect start to our meals and a local treat! A must visit on your next trip! Don’t forget to have dessert! Such a highlight! :) we are still dreaming about this food.

We loved our stop here. Great local wine recommendation, amazing Basilicata pasta and perfect vitello. Oh, and the goat cheese desert is not to be missed.

Notwithstanding the crowd, we had a wonderful experience. The food was very tasty. The service, recommendations and attention offered by Stefania was outstanding! She really improved our experience. Thank you!

Amazing food and waiting staff and very reasonably priced. The wine was fantastic. Try to get a table beside the window for the view. What a lovely town. So few tourists which is was so strange.

Fantastic meal. The homemade gluten free pasta was outstanding, and the veal and homemade sorbet were just incredible. All of the things you expect from a five star meal: great food, outstanding service, and attention to detail.
