On our first day in Sorrento, I reserved a table at this restaurant for dinner. I chose it because the menu looked great and was only about two minutes from where we stayed. I'm glad we went there; we received great service and met great people. I ordered the seafood combo, and it was delicious.

We just turned into this lovely street in Sorrento and stumbled into 86 Bistro. Staff , food and ambiance was simply Amazing. Complimentary appetizer and bread was a nice touch. They made us feel like a regular.. it is right in the heart of Sorrento yet it feels like you are in a nice and quite Italian villa.we had the fettuccini and crispy octopus. Yummy. The staff here is incredibly friendly, making you feel right at home. The food is prepared with such care, and you can taste the thoughtfulness in every bite. Many of the ingredients come straight from their own garden, which you can see from your table nestled in the midst of beautiful foliage and flowers.

We tried the Amalfi wholemeal pasta, fettuccine Bolognese, and the octopus appetizer, and everything was absolutely delicious. Make sure to try the limoncello spritzer—it's a real treat. This place is a hidden gem. Don't just walk by; go in and thank your taste buds later.

We visited Sorrento in May with friends, and this was by far the best place we ate (twice!) while there for the week! We had lunch there on the last day in the garden side of the restaurant, loved the food, atmosphere, and the service from Tonino and Emanuelo, that we booked for dinner on the spot! When we came back for dinner, we were warmly greeted like old friends and with "our table" reserved. Everything start to finish was excellent. We will never forget our experience there. Grazie!

Had the most incredible lunch here. Salmon Caesar salad and their special of the day - a black truffle pasta. They freshly grated the truffle directly onto the pasta at the table.

After a week in France with the worst possible luck in food, this place was just what we needed as our first meal in Sorrento. We sat outside in the garden area with amazing weather and ambiance. The staff was courteous and helpful, The food was delicious and well portioned. I had the fish thanks to someone’s previous review here and my teen had fettuccini Al Ragu. The entire meal was mouth watering and the drinks were reasonably priced as well as refreshing. The overall cost was good for the quality and even the service charge per person was reasonable. I would absolutely recommend and eat here again.

First meal in Italy and it did not disappoint. The sea bass was the best of our entire trip.

Both service and food were fantastic. Complimentary antipasti and digestifs were provided by the loveliest servers. The seafood risotto, tuna steak and t-bones were remarkable. Such a pleasurable dining experience - will definitely return if we are back in Sorrento.

Fabulous tiny bar with a cosy garden away from the madding crowds on the street. Cocktails on offer from handwritten menus and refreshing chilled bottled beers. We were surprised but the plate of amouse bouche. Well worth going to if you want to escape the crowds.

The staff was super friendly and welcoming, they answered all of our questions, helped us find the right food and wine, and even reminded us to take a photo of the sea bass before they filleted it, because they noticed that we took photos of the starters as well.

We had the mullet with vegetables as a starter. It reminded me of my mom's cooking, only this one was even better (sorry, Mama!).

As the main course, we had sea bass on a sauce with orange and capers. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was so good, we ended up dipping all of the free starter bread in it.

As a dessert, we had a cute little round cheesecake with a crispy crust, as you would find it in a New York style cheesecake. The middle was the creamy cheese delight you expect. The top however was made of lemon and topped with coconut flakes, which gave it a unique spin. Possibly the best cheesecake I've ever had.

Overall, this is my favorite restaurant in Sorrento so far, I can't recommend it enough.

One of our favorite restaurants in Sorrento! We love their unique spin on classic Italian fare. We loved it so much we went back twice! The fresh catch, saffron risotto, seafood soup, and cauliflower cream pasta, all exceptional. Our server both nights (Tonino) had great wine suggestions and remembered us by name. We got to meet the chef and enjoyed the experience overall. From ambiance, delicious food, great people, you cant go wrong. Give them a try!

Found 86 Bistrò through a happy accident whilst exploring Sorrento. The food was delicious (we had the burrata and seafood risotto), but we were most impressed with the service. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience outstanding.

In short:the main dishes were so good that it made this review 5 star.
The atmosphere was nice, simple but nice, not something that really changed the experience (we were seated outside, might be because of this)
The food: so the starters were average a saled was nice fresh choped , the seating was OK not more not less.
The hummus was not really a hummus, but it was very unique. I enjoyed it, and I think it's worth trying.
The main dishes were the stars. The pasta was creamy, well seasoned, and perfectly cooked! It was one of the best I had. The shrimp was cooked to perfection as well, and the sauce was grate!
The overall experience was nice and I recommend the place for casual eating.
The price was 108 eur, with the food helf bottle of wine and bottle of water.

Excellent! Delicious and creative food while keeping the traditions of the Sorrento coast. Very attentive staff and lovely and pleasant atmosphere. Ah, they also cultivate tomatoes, eggplants and basil near the dining area!

Cozy atmosphere away from the crowd. The food was excellent as well as the service.

Some of the best food we had in Sorrento and this is coming from someone who tried a Michelin star restaurant while here as well (will not name it). Definitely try the octopus and tuna! The pastas are phenomenal too. Service is great as well. Lovely staff that is very attentive. Will recommend to anyone visiting Sorrento!

The best food I’ve ever eaten!! Simply Unbelievable. We’ve been out in Italy for a few weeks now and this restaurant has topped it for me, so so good. The staff were brilliant as well. So friendly. Great atmosphere as well

UNREAL!!!!

It was my first time in Italy so had high expectations for the food. I seemed to be going to all the wrong places as I was disappointed every time. Then I found 86 bistro and was so happy. Everything was amazing. So much flavour packed into everything. Very reasonably priced for such good quality. Marco, Tonino and Michela were so attentive and super nice people! I found this place on my second last night and had to go again and brought friends this time who also loved it! Keep doing what you do, guys!! ❤

We walked past 86 Bistro earlier this day before it opened and decided we would come back later in the evening because it looked promising. Following up on this impression we did further research. Upon our return we were met with an atmosphere of warmth and filled tables of satisfied faces. Additionally we were most importantly also welcomed by a heartwarming and friendly waiter. From then on it was just a lovely experience that was peaked by the presentation and tastefulness of the various dishes. We highly recommend this place. 5*
