OMG! They have the best Aglio e Olio!! And other things are great too! I highly recommend this place. The service is great and the atmosphere is fantastic. Ate here with my family one evening and came back for that darn good Aglio e olio. Thank you for cooking amazing food!!

Great pasta, speedy service and decent espresso. Quick and easy with a 2 year old, very accommodating staff.

Fantastic pasta (we had pici alla carbonara and vongole con pomodorini), superb house white wine, great atmosphere, really good service. We’ve had a lovely evening meal at Don Beta and would highly recommend the place!

I only ate one dish but it was perfect - pizza primavera. The rocket was incredibly fresh, the cheese was amazing and the crust was perfectly crisp. It was not oily at all, which was just what I needed, but came with an oil bottle, so oil can be added. The decor was lovely and pleasant, I loved the colourful plate, and the staff were attentive and not over bearing. I agree with another reviewer that the atmosphere would be better without the television, but this is a very minor thing.

This place is an absolute gem in Volterra. The pasta ripiene (filled pastas) are particularly great, and I have not been disappointed in plates throughout the offerings after many visits. There is a duck plate with pecorino and honey which is sublime. With kids, ask for the "Don Zella", which is fried pizza dough bites, for a tasty snack. Staff is friendly (though at busy times patience is required), and the menu is expansive. Try local cuisine, truffle specials, or their daily plates. Rosemary focaccia and house wines are excellent and part of a very reasonable lunch menu.

Very nice place with highly-curated environment. You'll find typical dishes (like the Fiorentina) and a welcoming staff. Wine choice is wide and of quality.

The meal was great - Fiorentino prepared to perfection, grilled vegetables very flavorful and tender. The atmosphere was nice and the staff was very attentive.

Had dinner with group of 10. Excellent choice varied appetizers (cured sliced meats, cheese, bruschetta, etc). Cured meat is very fine, thinly sliced, no hard parts. Pici (local pasta) is excellent too. Service is very attentive and professional. Price is very reasonable for quality. Only thing I didn’t like was the large tv screen in the main hall. Overall highly recommended restaurant

Great little place. I had the €18 menu. Thus isn't advertised outside on the menu. My Google translate didn't work so I didn't know what I was ordering. When the meal arrived. It was tripe in sauce. Accompanied by white beans. Its was super tasty and filling. Just what I needed on a wet afternoon in the tuscan hills. Service was great. Highly recommend. Fantastic value for money. Thanks

This place is nothing less than priceless. It was a cold winter day and the owner was a lovely lady who set up the heaters and made us a lovely meal of warm soups and delicious wine! One of the best experiences I have had in a while!

Stopped off on way back to Pisa airport and we were disappointed that we did not have more time to spend here. There were 4 of us in our group and we were unanimous in our praise for the quality of the food and the ambiance of this restaurant, located in the wonderful old town of Volterra. We all hope to return, with a bit more time next time!

A very nice restaurant in the centre of Volterra. Good service and excellent food. We enjoyed a marvellous 1,5 kg T-bone steak. Best I have had!
