Cadorna Chalet

First of all, I would like to say that owners of this nice and lovely place make us to wish come here again and again ☺ and that’a truly great! We’ve been here already 3 or 4 times and every time was definitely worth it to visit! This place has several advantages:

1. Overwhelming view all around. Staying here bring you away from crowded too much touristic places and allow to enjoy truly local atmosphere in Como lake!

2. This hotel was decorated with love and has really unique and antique furniture. Truly Italian atmosphere all around

3. As I said before, owners will help you and host in a best way!

Some Tipps what you can do all around: agritourism, hiking, very close to the most famous waterfall in Como.

I think you definitely need a car to reach this place, if you want to be flexible to reach other spots. Otherwise, there is also a public bus there. Text or call the owners and they will help you with public transportation schedule also.

P.S. there are also a winery and wine yards nearby. We didn’t visit it, but you can also take it into account as a good place to visit nearby.

Gorgeous house, very welcoming and attentive host Giorgio! We arrived close to midnight and he went out to greet us, giving all sort of tips and arranging a breakfast, very thoughtful! The view is gorgeous, embracing the nature and the place feels like home, a vintage cabinet in the dining area with beautiful tea sets is from Giorgio’s grand parents, every element is thought through, carries a personal touch and welcoming. Had the best night sleep here. Highly recommend for global trotters with a laptop all the way to families with kids. Bravo, Giorgio!

We had the most wonderful stay at the Cadorna Chalet this summer. The hotel is well positioned in the lovely authentic village Veleso which was lovely and cool in the summer and only a short drive down to Nesso by the lake. The views are absolutely beautiful from the hotel. Georgio and his family were wonderful hosts and went out of their way to accommodate us including a lift when we were left stranded when a bus did not arrive and making us dinner reservations. Nothing was too much trouble - absolutely amazing service. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We will be back again next time we are in Como.

If you want to skip the usual touristy Como and have an authentic experience, stay at Cadorna Chalet.

Giorgio, the owner, is a true host and was incredibly helpful with great recommendations. The house is beautiful and has a great story. The view over the mountains and lake is phenomenal and the pictures simply cannot do it justice.

The best place we stayed in in italy!

We stayed for 2 nights (3 motorbike riders)
We parked free our motorbikes close (just a minute by walk)
Hotelkeeper was very friendly and helpful.
There was excellent panoramic view from terrace.
Probably weather is rainy for a while in day (everyday)
I think You need to have a vehicle to go somewhere arround from hotel.
There is a excellent restaurant.(5 minutes by walk)
So many old small streets are arround.

Marvellous place, specially if you're looking for something authentic. The staff is very friendly and honest. Even if I tried to be critical, there actually wasn't one thing that they could've done better. And as you can see, the view from the terras is quite amazing. I recommend this place to everyone who likes to visit Como!

Cozy place with a great view and friendly people. The drive up there is very exciting, pack some nerves in your luggage!

Abbiamo avuto un soggiorno veramente piacevole. L’albergo è situato fuori dal caos turistico con una bella vista sul lago dal terazzo ed è apprezzabile la vicinanza a ristoranti non turistici e validi. Il proprietario è stato davvero gentilissimo e abbiamo apprezzato i suoi consigli che ci ha dato per ottimizzare il nostro soggiorno. L'unico neo rimane forse la colazione, che potrebbe essere migliorata. Inoltre, a luglio il parcheggio vicino è stato sempre pieno, dovevamo parcheggiare un’po più lontano, ma non è stato un grande problema. Essendo ad un altitudine importante, la strada per arrivare è stretta, quindi occorre fare attenzione durante il percorso

Personnel très accueillant et chaleureux, prix défiant toute concurrence. La chambre est impeccable et la vue depuis la terrasse magnifique. Le chalet se situe dans les hauteurs, dans un petit village tranquille loin du bruit.

Als kleinen Zwischenstop auf unserem Road Trip, haben wir für eine Nacht bei Georgio und seiner Familie Station gemacht. Das nächste mal bleiben wir bestimmt länger, denn selten wird man so herzlich, freundlich und authentisch beherbergt wie hier. Die Zimmer waren pikobello sauber, die Aussicht von der Terasse gigantisch. Uns wurde mit Rat und Tat zur Seite gestanden, man konnte uns mit allem helfen. Zum Frühstück gab es viele Leckereien, die frische Wurst war ein echtes Highlight- und als weiteres Highlight gab es warme Brioche.

Abbiamo alloggiato una notte con colazione al cadorna chalet. Pierangelo e suo cugino sono estremamente professionali, capaci, e con maestria e conoscenza del proprio mestiere ti accolgono nel tuo personale soggiorno. Soddisfando ogni richiesta con disponibilità. Lo chalet, è ordinato e pulito e molto elegante. Si riposa veramente bene. La vista dalla terrazza è bellissima, il centro storico e le ambientazioni naturali intorno meritano di essere visitate. È Sicuramente punto di riferimento qualora ci si trovasse da queste parti. Continuate cosi!

Μια ευχάριστη διαμονή στο οδικό μας ταξίδι στην Ευρώπη ήταν η διαμονή στο συγκεκριμένο ξενοδοχείο πεντακάθαρο, ήσυχο με υπέροχη θέα και πάνω από όλα μια εγκάρδια φιλοξενία από τους ιδιοκτήτες, Georgio σε ευχαριστούμε πολύ!
