Ristorante Salice Blu

My husband and I did the cooking class and truffle hunting experience today and it was nothing short of outstanding!! Chef Luigi and his wife Camille are gracious hosts that are extremely personable with a great sense of humor. I have celiac disease and I was able to enjoy an insanely delicious FIVE course lunch with a lot of delicious wine (this is unheard of in the US). Our truffle hunter Charlotte was fantastic at sniffing and digging out the truffles, not to mention a super sweet loving dog. We were on a Chef Luigi’s private property truffle hunting where we had stunning views of the entire town and lake from the highest point of the hill. We can’t recommend Chef Luigi and this experience enough!

Can highly recommend the wine tasting experience. Luigi was a fantastic host and really went into depth about each of the wines.

We had so much fun during the evening.

Absolutely incredible experience at Salice Blu. Chef Luigi made our evening such a memorable experience. It’s not often you get to speak with the chef throughout the night and learn about all of the dishes, but that’s what you get here. Amazing food plus incredible service. Truly a gem of a restaurant.

Our tour guide with Walk Europe set up an Italian cooking class at Salice Blu Ristorante in Bellagio. Chef Luigi and his wife/business partner, Camille, went above and beyond to give us a fantastic experience. We were able to tour the garden that much of their produce comes from plus we made Pappardelle, as well as tricolor ravioli from scratch. Once we had finished helping to prepare all of the food, it was served to us along with some delicious wines to accompany it perfectly. At the end they surprised me with a birthday treat with a huge candle and sang happy birthday. We spent several hours there, and would love to go back again as the food was superb. Chef Luigi is quite a character and tells many colorful stories as he teaches his cooking class. Not to be missed if you are ever in the area!

My experience at Salice Blu was one that left an everlasting impression on what fine dining, customer service and just an all around great environment for dining and celebration is.

When my wife and I arrived to Salice Blu, it was 40 minutes before they had planned to close. We had just arrived in Bellagio after our rental car had broken down and we had to get a new car. When we arrived my wife was greeted by who she thought was just the hostess. When my wife explained our situation and the awful day we had been having on the first day of our honeymoon, Camilla (who we thought was just the hostess) immediately said that everything would be okay and that we could come in for a meal.

Upon sitting down, we were met with amazing quality of service from our waiter who brought still and sparkling water to our table. Very soon after we were brought two bowls of tomato soup compliments of Luigi, the chef. Because we knew that they were closing soon we only ordered quick and small orders but those orders were absolutely amazing and had such a depth of flavour. We noticed that most people in the restaurant were drinking from the outstanding list of wines that they offer but my wife and I are more of cocktail people, so we asked if they offered any.

When we asked this, the chef, Luigi came to our table to describe to us what the cocktails were that they had to offer. Little did we know that when we did this, that not only did he describe what the cocktails were, but Luigi also made the cocktails at our table! We came to later find out that he also won the cocktail competition that happens in Bellagio among all the other bar/restaurants once a year!

Suffice to say, we came for a quick meal and we’re left in awe of the whole experience that we received. Of course this had us asking Camilla if we could book a reservation for 2 days from when we got there so we could experience a full 7course tasting menu!

When we returned for our full tasting menu reservation we were met with the exact same level of professionalism and overall great experience that we had when we came on our first night. On this night we ordered a bottle of wine and we let Luigi bring us one he recommended. What turned out be a very funny coincidence that the wine he brought us was from the same region that we had just gotten married in (which he wasn’t aware of).

The tasting menu was amazing and had us wondering when the food would stop as we were full by the 4th course but it was so good that we finished every last bit of each course.

Upon leaving the restaurant after our final meal there, Luigi and Camilla brought us one of their recipe cook books with a beautiful scripture inside congratulating us on our wedding and wishing us a lifetime of love and happiness, and of course good food! They also showed us their wine cellar and their island that they do dinners on 1-2 times a week which left us in awe!

Overall I would recommend this restaurant to everyone and anyone who is staying in Bellagio as it was the best part of our stay there. This restaurant was the definition of 5 star dining!

This experience was our best during our trip to Italy. The food was unreal and so amazing. Everything was perfectly balanced and the wine pairing was unmatched. The chef, his wife/business partner, the staff - everyone was absolutely incredible. The experience was so much fun and they were incredibly engaging, and it was truly our best meal/experience, I’m still dreaming about the salmon tartar and risotto. Thank you for giving the perfect ending to our trip!!

Had a great meal here! There is a limited but excellent range of vegetarian options; in particular, the black truffle pappardelle and chocolate soufflé were very good.

Wow Wow Wow. What an amazing dining experience we had last night. From a tour of the wine cellar, then dining in the exquisite restaurant. We ate everything all most lick every plate, the food was divine as was the attention to detail. Decor and presentation outstanding. The owners Luigi and his Wife went around every table and had a conversation with everyone and could tell you about every dish served. First ever fine dining experience ever and one never to be forgotten. Thank You Salice Blu

Wonderful restaurant with excellent service and the most incredible food. The love, care and attention to detail is insane. I have never eaten at a place where it is not just the taste, but the texture and temperature of every dish is so well thought out. The presentation and use of different dishes is just wonderful

Family owned, incredible chef! Chef Luigi, his wife Camila and their team will treat you like family! From the scenic ride (pick up), to the garden tour, to truffle hunting (with Secundo - 85 year old expert - and his dog Eddy), the cooking class and ending with a delicious meal…there is truly no experience like it. This 4.5 hour experience was exactly what we were looking for to get the true culture of Lake Como and the city of Bellagio from a true locals point of view.

A must visit when in Bellagio!! My wife and I were able to eat at Salice Blu twice this week. It was amazing in so many ways. The owners, Luigi and Camilla both speak English and are delightful! The family atmosphere makes it fun and the food was delicious. I’m pretty sure they make everything in house. You have to try Mama Floras salad of the day! Luigi is very good w the children. Try the lamb, lobster pasta and homemade ice cream. You can walk in but reservations online are better.

Wonderful dining experience, staff were exceptional, chef was welcoming, assisted with wine pairing and served perfectly prepared food. The truffle pasta is magic.
Raspberry limoncello was divine. Highly recommended this beautiful restaurant.

Our experience here was amazing! We went on a boat tour to the middle of the lake and it was stunning. They provided some wine and snacks which was lovely. The food was so wonderful and we loved the atmosphere in the restaurant. They really try to make everyone feel at home. We also had some issues with getting there and back so they decided to pick us up by boat. It was a 2 minute walk from our Airbnb then at the end of the night Chef Luigi personally drove us back to our Airbnb which was so kind of them. All in all we had an unforgettable evening and we hope to return in the future!

This is one of the best meals we've had, hands down. The atmosphere, the service, the creativity of the meals, the presentation, and most importantly - the TASTES were just incredible and delicious. Every last bite was a delight. Luigi and Camilla are an amazing duo. If you're ever in lake como, get a reservation here! Top notch doesn't begin to describe this place.

We had the most amazing experience at this place! We were very hungry while driving around Como when we saw this gorgeous looking place and decided to go in. We couldn’t believe how amazing the service was and the food was simply heavenly! The chef (who we did not know was famous until after we left) even came to meet us and he was the best!! The price was really fair considering how good everything was. It was memorable!

We had a lovely time at Salice Blu! My partner and I are vegetarians and were excited by the option of the Vegetarian Tasting Menu, which offers 5 courses including dessert. Each course was excellent and provided different flavours and experiences each time. Because of the many courses, our meal was drawn out over a couple of hours, which was very worthwhile and gave us lots of time to enjoy a bottle of wine from the Lombardi region of Italy. I would highly recommend Salice Blu. Chef Luigi, his wife, and the whole staff made the meal such a wonderful experience!

My family is visiting Bellagio for a few days as part of our vacation. Our experience started with a private pizza making class and ended with us wanting to come back for more. Chef Luigi's culinary expertise is apparent, but it is his enthusiastic and comedic personality that will make our pizza lesson unforgettable. So many laughs! And we didn't make just regular cheese pizza. Chef Luigi escalated our pizza to that of his 5 star restaurant. We had pizza with prosciutto, pizza with truffles, pizza with beef carpaccio, and pizza with smoked sausage. They were all so delicious!
Just as incredible is Chef Luigi's and his wife/business partner Camille's, heartwarming hospitality. From the minute you enter their restaurant you feel like family. They greet you as if they know you and go around to every table to talk with their guests.
Our evening ended with them surprising us with a presentation of desserts that were as delicious as they were beautifully crafted - just like everything else that we saw leave their kitchen. It may have been the class that brought us there, but it's their unprecedented food and hospitality that is bringing us back. We can't wait to have lunch there on Wednesday!

Ristorante Salice Blu is beautiful. My friend and I did a wine tasting with Chef Luigi in his cellar, accompanied with food pairing. I would suggest using their free pick up service from Bellagio. We finished with delicious dinner. Great service from Camilla and the Salice Blu staff. Thank you for a great evening.

We came to the restaurant for my fiancé’s birthday a month or so ago - we booked the set menu with a wine pairing in the cellar.

My fiancé is a coeliac and very helpfully Luigi offered to make the entire set menu gluten free to suit her allergies.

The food was excellent, as was the service and overall experience in the cellar. Luigi and the staff were also very generous with the wine pairings (and also gave us an extra glass or two!)
