Hotel Silvio

A very clean and lovely hotel with a beautiful view of the lake. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, particularly the restaurant staff who always welcomed us with a smile and presented delicious food. I wanted to mention Fernanda who works in the restaurant and was always hospitable and extremely polite and made our time in Italy memorable and pleasant with her manners and personality! I visited last week with a family member and we loved our stay at hotel silvio because of how quiet and peaceful it was. Thank you : )

What a wonderful hotel, such lovely staff, so well looked after!

Even though our trip was slightly ruined by cancelled flights, bad weather (worst storms in ages) it was still a lovely experience!

It seems like a long way from town on paper but it’s only about ten minutes walk and whether day or night it’s a good walk weather you go from the road or by the water front.

Top marks to the dark haired waiter who got us food after the kitchen had closed as we arrived so late!

Fabulous restaurant experience. Party of 19 and everyone liked their dish. Presented creatively and in a beautiful setting. Really nice service. The duck ragu was most liked by the group. They had gluten free pasta!

My wife and I had a lovely lunch at the restaurant Cafe Silvio. The outside tables were canopied by a pergola with intertwined grape vines which provided a lovely shade throughout the meal. The vantage point of Lake Como was a million dollar view. My wife and I had insalata mista, chilled rose, and pasta with duck ragu. The meal was spectacular. We enjoyed the cuisine so much that we decided to make another reservation for later on in the week. Would highly recommend this establishment.

Our stay at Hotel Silvio was fantastic. The room was comfortable , the AC worked well at night, and the bathroom was great. The views from room#5 balcony were incredible overlooking the lago. Silvio's location was close enough to the town center of Bellagio that we were able to walk to and from each day. On our final morning it was raining , Marta offered to give us a ride to the ferry station which was extremely sweet and hospitable. I would definitely recommend staying here!

The first day we were allocated a room which should not be given to any family,especially with a toddler like ours, the bathtub in the room no door separating the toilet and the room...not appropriate at all but the second day we changed the room to a spectacular view . Very clean place the breakfast is nice, the staff super helpful, great location

Rooms are nice, I had a cute little balcony that looked out onto the Lake, when you come down for Breakfast you get a great view of the lake also, breakfast as others have said is fantastic, it's a full continental offering with an egg boiler so you can have whatever type of boiled egg you prefer in the morning with a selection of cured meats, cheeses, fruit, cakes, cereals.. and they make you coffee fresh from the bar and it's also really good coffee! Can't rate the restaurant as it's not been open this season - but it is renowned as a great place to eat fish from the lake when it is open. Overall an excellent stay at this price point (£60/night) in low season!

Friendly and attentive staff. Spectacular outdoor seating with great views. The restaurant specialises in fresh fish dishes. The dishes we had were full of flavour and delicious.

Love this hotel! Our room had a balcony with the view of the lake. Breathtaking! Service is great. Free parking. Walking distance to the garden and the city. We had lunch at the restaurant downstairs and it was great. Breakfast is an extra 15 Euro per person, which I think wasn't worth it (we had to boil our own eggs). But everything else was great. Wish we stayed there for an extra night or two. Will definitely book it again if we ever come back

Best place to stay in the Bellagio area. Great views, fine kitchen and first class service. Marta and her front desk team make the place come alive! We could not have asked for better customer care!

We had dinner at the restaurant, and it was AMAZING!!! The service was phenomenal (Mario is the best!) - they make you feel at home, as they’re super friendly and familiar. They’re also amazing at recommending food - the black tagliatelle is heavenly! The view is also divine (as was the wine)! BY FAR the best restaurant we tried in Bellagio!!!

We loved the hotel. The prices were very fair, the location is good (a 7 minutes walk from the center), breakfast was nice (probably nicer when you arrive early) and our room was spacious and very very clean. The hotel offers free parking which was great for us, as we circled around the lake with a car. The staff were very kind and helpful. We'll definitely come back here again.

We had an amazing time at this little hotel in Bellagio. The staff was very nice and ready to help us at any time, the room was tidy and with a beautiful view, and the breakfast was simple but good.
The location was also extremely good as one of the beaches in the town is located only 400m away.

Had a wonderful family dinner at Silvio's with great views. Amazing service and great food. Some members of the family came back twice.

Incredible dinner under the grapevine overlooking the lake. Considerate and efficient service. The assorted fish starter was out of this world, especially the terrine and the fish with salsa verde. I had a veal steak with a superb herb sauce. My husband had the line fish which was delicately cooked in butter. The spaghetti is homemade in a simple and delicious tomato and basil sauce. Desserts were sublime. The best meal of our holiday by far. Espresso and limoncello ended the evening on a high note.

best negroni I have had in Italy -- the terrace offers spectacular views over the lake. Staff v friendly and flexible, opened early for us and made non-alcoholic cocktails for the teenagers. Restaurant fed four of us for €150 (incl half bottle of wine). Highly recommended

This is a perfect hideout spot. If you're looking for some peace and quiet with beautiful surroundings, this is the one. Marta was very helpful with great tips for local restaurants and places to see. Would definitely come back!

Just been there for a wedding, absolutely stunning venue, views are amazing, staff were fantastic, great food too..

There is a host named Robert who works here. I honestly cannot believe the respect, curiously, and class of this wonderful gentleman. He is a top notch individual and I promise you that Hotel Silva is VERY LUCKY TO HAVE ROBERT!!!!! Honestly, I would want to visit this hotel again just for the excellent service and respect provided by this wonderful man. 10 star out of 5 for him and this hotel. What else can be said.... he is my man crush.... amazing experience
