Best ice cream in town voted by a maybe biased but knowledgeable jury. The best natural flavours of Tuscany in a cup or cone. Besides your classics, you get special combinations like strawberry and rosemary (like my daughter did). It was so good, I only got to take a picture after she was almost done.

The best gelato in Pienza, and with the added bonus of an owner who regaled us of his time living in London (Brixton... before it was cool).

The special Caramelised Banana flavour will be something we'll spend the rest of our lives trying and failing to recreate, that good.

I cannot recommend enough Buongusto gelataria. Had two visits to Pienza in 2017 and 2024, and each time I had to have two servings on arriving to the town and before leaving. That simple.
The gelataria is found in a calm and lovely street, and Pienza itself is seldom crowded.
The gelato is just wonderful, light, flavourful with special flavours not found everywhere. Back in 2017 I had tasted their amazing strawberry mint that wasn’t there in 2024, but replaced by a curious and quite working almond lime option. Service is swift and friendly.

It's soooooo good. I highly recommend cafe bianco. Peach was nich as well. It was the best gelato shop so far. Also the staff was so kind and nice. He's really good at English, too.

Don't leave Pienza without experiencing Nicola's ice cream. An incredible range of flavours freshly prepared daily with high quality, locally sourced ingredients by an expert who has a real passion for his work.

On the outskirts of the town of Pienza we got first-class ice creams. The waitress was extremely nice and courteous. The ice creams were all excellent(group of 6). Best pistachio ice on my 4 week trip to Italy. A clear recommendation to visit :)

Very friendly owner and the gelato was so delicious!! Some special flavours you really need to taste. If you're in the neighborhood, don't hesitate to hop in.

While gelato in Italy is often good, Buongusto stands out as exceptional. I tried the sorbet combination of blueberry and lemon & sage, and the latter was a revelation. My girlfriend tried pistachio and hazelnut, both of which were superb. Pienza is a great pitstop when exploring Val d'Orcia and this gelateria gives you yet another reason to visit the town.

The best gelato and sorbet we had in Italy. The ingredients are extremely high quality and the gelato and sorbet are so flavourful. Situated on a flowery side street. Don’t miss this spot !

A hidden gem. I have never eaten such incredible gelato. Lemon with basil! Watermelon and ginger!! Plum too. Owners are so lovely and helpful

Lemon and basil sorbet... My word, it's one of the best things I've ever tasted! There were lots of choices but we also had the strawberry and mint and that was equally delicious. Our son had the chocolate chip and loved it too.
