Had the absolute best meal here!! Such a great ambience and the waiter and chef could not have been nicer. We had delicious pasta and seafood appetizer. We are returning again tomorrow night!

This restaurant is a little gem in the heart of Scicli. We absolutely adored the food, which on top of being delicious, was presented beautifully. The restaurant’s atmosphere is very romantic and classy but also cozy. We had such a lovely night, especially thanks to their kind staff who really took the time to give us some advice and tell us about the most local dishes. Also, the restaurant is very fairly priced!

Wowwowow. Absolutely loved it. Found it just randomly and we were so happy we landed there. Service, food, attention to details, wine selection. U can tell they do it cause they are passionate. Would 100% come back next time♥

This restaurant is out of this world. Everything is perfect - the food, the service, the wine, the atmosphere, the space and even the music, which is just like the chef’s creativity - perfectly balanced yet daring and passionate. Their rasting menus are a must for all foodies.

This beautiful restaurant really is a hidden gem. The indoor dining room is simple and classy.

The service and welcome were both exceptional. Wines and food choices were all explained clearly, including some really interesting beer choices.

And the food itself - exceptional. We had the fried squid and meat/cheese plate to start. Absolutely gorgeous and beautifully presented.

The main courses were even better - we had dorata and tagliata di mango.

And finally, all of the staff were lovely. Very warm and welcoming.

This was our 12th day in Sicily and easily the best food we’d eaten. If you want good quality food, don’t think about it - just book here!

Something is happening here. In Scicli, the young chef/owner Oliver Lee Gallaro (who has been working for many Michelin’s starified restaurants in France, Bologna Italy…) is enabling Sicily to showcase its best: the fusion of tradition and evolution… At an unreasonably low price. Every dish is about creativity and authentic passion. Authenticity and generosity that we had the chance to experience during a dinner with relaxation and value for money as delightful as the ambiance of the charmingly baroque city of Scicli.

We had a tasting menu. The food was amazing. Perfectly prepared, local ingredients and friendly professional service.

My husband and I found this place on a whim, and we had a fantastic time! It was a quieter night when we went, and it was nice to feel spoiled by our waiter. He was so helpful especially with the menu only being in Italian. We asked him for what he recommended and loved everything as well as his wine recommendation. Perfect dinner in Scicli!

This treasure of a restaurant is tucked away in a little alley off the main street. The staff was welcoming, courteous and helpful from the moment I entered. I visited on Easter, and the waiter suggested several specials for that day, including a local recipe for lasagna and some perfectly prepared cod on a tomato base. Desert was an entirely homemade cannolo with a side of pistachio oil ice cream. Even the olive oil for the bread was a carefully chosen vintage. After the meal, the chef talked with me about some of the locally sourced ingredients and even showed me some of the tools he uses to make his cannoli. An excellent experience from start to finish.

Great little hidden gem. Service was great and food lovely. My mother loved her dish and the chef made me a vegan spaghetti on request which I read from another review. The warm fresh bread was so delicious. Highly recommend. Menu only in Italian so ask for recommendations.

We took seven-course degustation menu. The food was exceptional, place is gorgeous and quiet. Each dish was prepared with passion and attention to details. Must visit on the trip to Scicli!

Amazing restaurant. The food is top quality, from the selection of the ingredients to the preparation. A lot of tought to every dish, each one a surprise.

The staff is extremely friendly, polite and educated, true professionals.

We had a delicious meal at Sesamo today. Despite the heat, the restaurant was cool and inviting. We were looked after perfectly by the waiter and the food was absolutely delicious. The food pictured was a mixed starter with local Sicilian foods. We also had two other pastas, one with tuna (fresh chunks, not flakes), and also a grilled tuna with potato and caponata. It was all beautifully cooked and served and tasted really special.

We spoke to the chef afterwards, whose passion for his food could be felt, everything down to the way he bakes his own bread, wanting to bring back traditional ways of preparing and flavouring bread.

We heartily recommend Sesamo for a treat of the senses.

We were a group of twelve celebrating a spontaneous silver wedding anniversary at Sesamo, and what a delightful surprise it was. Drawn by its glowing reviews—the primary way this gem is revealed to the world—we discovered a true hidden treasure. However, this status is unlikely to endure once food enthusiasts uncover Sesamos charms. The chef masterfully combines exquisite techniques from northern Italy with high-quality products from the south. Upon learning of our Danish origins, he explained that his culinary foundation is rooted in the fermentation techniques studied at NoMA. An example of this is the use of almond shells in the stone oven, imparting a most seductive, soft smoky flavour. The pork dish with polenta and the sourdough bread—fermented for two days, baked with ancient Sicilian grains, and served with superb local fresh olive oil—were beyond description. The service was exceedingly kind, gentle, and informative, making us feel warmly welcomed in the most generous manner. It was truly a beautiful experience. Thank you.

Hidden in a narrow alley of Scicli you can find a true gem, I had a lovely evening in a charming atmosphere. We enjoyed the Chef’s selected delicacies and had the pleasure to meet the man himself who’s truly passionate about his craft!

Amazing, amazing, amazing. Truly a hidden gem. The food was exceptional, venue is quaint, gorgeous and quiet. The waiter that served us gave us great service. To top it all off, the chef also obliged to explain his collection of fresh herbs that they grow. Would definitely recommend
