Ristorante La Tavernetta

Wow! We were a group of 4 adults and 3 kids and the restaurant was so incredibly lovely and accommodating to us. We were staying nearby and wanted a nice dinner to celebration Australian Fathers Day. The staff and owner were all wonderful, taking the time to explain the menu and the local ingredients, and wine. They even made special meals for the kids. The views from the restaurant were incredible and the hotel looked gorgeous (note to self for next time). Overall it was about $100AUD per head (excl kids) which was very reasonable give the drinks, food and wine for all of us. We felt really welcome and comfortable, which doesn't always happen when you have multiple kids in a nice restaurant. Thank you again for having us!

We stayed for two nights in the hotel and booked first for the first night but the food was so good that we decided to return the day after. The view, well, priceless. Exquisite food with great flavors and both tuna and fillet rare cooked to perfection. To top it off great service!

A Dream Wedding Destination in Scopello

Our stay at La Tavernetta was nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled in the charming town of Scopello, this resort is a hidden gem that offers an unforgettable experience. We were here for my daughter’s wedding, and the entire experience was like something out of a dream.

The restaurant at the resort is truly AMAZING. Each meal was a culinary delight, with flavors that were as vibrant as the stunning views from the dining area. The breakfast spread was another highlight – so diverse, high quality, and just wonderful. It was the perfect way to start each day, with a variety of options that catered to every palate.

The pool, surrounded by olive and lime groves, provided the perfect spot to relax and soak in the tranquility of the surroundings. The bar is another highlight – every drink was crafted to perfection, making our evenings all the more enjoyable. But what truly sets Albergo La Tavernetta apart is the warmth and hospitality of the owners and staff. They are simply the best – attentive, friendly, and dedicated to making your stay as memorable as possible.

We also hosted the welcome party at the resort, and I have to say, it was an experience like no other. The food was exceptional, and the location was breathtaking. It truly set the tone for the entire wedding weekend.

Beautiful terrace and view. We had a super friendly waiter, who took his time, even though they had their hands full with a wedding-group. He even helped us find something for my partner who was allergic to fish (which can be a challenge on Sicily) and they made some noodles that weren‘t on the menu for her.

I had the ravioli and can absolutely recommend those.

We went two times to this place as we were very impressed with the first time. Their antipasti are fantastic, sophisticated and most importantly tasty. Their busiate and pasta dishes are absolutely recommended. The fish secondi however were a bit disappointing on our second visit. But again, the dessert signori miei, so so good. Top stars for the service too.

I had the best red tuna in my life and that’s thanks to one waiter recommendation. I wish I would never finish this meal and could have drank cups of their pistachios sauce. I did 3 Michelin stars restaurant during my short trip, but this tuna is certainly the best meal I had. Wow! The fennel salad could have used some additional spices. I found my personal recipe to be better. Service was excellent; all men were very attentive and polite, and made great recommendations. They have different options of wine by the glass and don’t miss the local Amaro to end on a nice note.

A beautiful place for dinner with delicious food. The servers were lovely and spoke excellent English. I have a shellfish allergy and they were very attentive to it. The grouper special, ravioli with clams and the lemon sorbet for dessert were amazing.

tuna tartare is great !! and also people is so kind and finally view was so great. i have to plan to go again next vacation.

Not on the main road, into a cozy hotel, not only it has great food - try the grilled tuna belly - but the best view you can find in this beautiful corner of Sicily.

An absolutely exquisite find! Delicious food and atmosphere! Service was a touch slow however the food was absolutely stunning!

100% recommend. It was my friend’s birthday, the lovely staff not only let us have the table by the window, but also gave us a free dessert and sang us happy birthday. Amazing food, and super nice staff. Will definitely come back. Thank you for making my friend’s birthday even more special!

All staff is kind , helpful and generous.
Food is delicious, large variety of choices for breakfast( the buns and pastries are amazing).I strongly recommend a visit!
Only downside: the lights are way to bright at night, that same dining room is stunning in the sunlight

Fantastic food, service, and beautiful views and atmosphere. All the food was fantastic: risotto, seafood, bruschetta, tiramisu, lemon sorbet, all delicious! And the local red wine was one of the best we'd ever had! Highly recommend this place. Staff are very friendly too.

We had dinner in this restaurant. The service was really good, the people were nice and sympathetic. Also each dish we had was really delicious, high quality food. can absolutely recommend it.

Great food, with an amazing view and great service.

We only went to this restaurant on our last evening in Scopello. But thats why I can say for sure this is the best one in town! The tuna with pistacchio was not the first I've had here but by far the most delicious. All the food was prepared with much care. And the level of service, from all team members, was amazing. They were very attentive and knowlegdeable. Please do yourselves a favour and don't wait till your last night in Scopello to visit this gem!
