Finally I was here... It feels so great to see that scene on the Internet and in my dream too...

I do agree that please don't stand on the road to take pictures. It is againt the law and most importantly very dangerous and disrespectful too.

This main road is very long, if you go down a bit further towards the mountain, there is no crowd at all and you can take photos in peace.

This is one of busiest and crowded Instagram spot with Fuji-San. Hence, there is some staffs who come and control the crossing path lately. Free parking is next to FabCafe. By the way, FabCafe may not open everyday so it may be difficult to find a spot to sit & relax.

Very beautiful place for sighting Mount Fuji in this infamous location. But be careful of the traffic and support the local people there by eating in local food and street vendors/shops. No tickets or anything, be aware of people who sell tickets.

Those little imaginary dreams to reality, this is definitely the highlight of my trip. Little line up at about 1:30pm but cleared quickly. Even just walking down the street it looks incredible. Definitely include in your itinerary somehow!!

Perfect for a day trip. If you want to take a bus from shinjuku do book in advance there won't be any bus sales if you arrive on the spot there will be an couple hours wait if you don't book a bus. You take the jr rail express it'll be same time. Which runs every half a hour I'm pretty sure. You will need to p urchase a reservation ticket to get there. And on return you won't get any buses back. They will all be booked for the returning customers. So the train will have to be the return way back. It will be abit confusing to get there but it's easy to figure out.

The specific photo spot was SOOOO CROWDED.
We recommend the nearby alleys or the next pedestrian lanes.

PLEASE RESPECT THE AUTHORITIES AND THE LOCALS.

FOLLOW THE STREET LIGHTS!!!!!

Such an amazing view of Mt. Fuji. We got here around 6:30am to avoid the crowds and it was so worth it to get up early. We got great pictures.

A trip to shimoyoshida is not completed if you didn’t come here for a spectacular view of the majestic Mt Fuji.
(Must watch out of your own safety when crossing the road, do not be a nuisance to motorists)

Fortunate that the view was so clear on the day I was here.
Took a while to get a decent shot because of the vehicles and people. Came here about lunch time on a tour so lots of people out and about.

Tip: find another alley parallel (next street literally) to this one which has similar view but less vehicles and people.

This street is one of the best spot to have an amazing picture with Fuji-san as background.

Make sure to use a zoom, either on your phone either with a zoom lens to have this effect of “compression” so the mount fuji looks slightly bigger to have a very artistic picture.

I recommend you to come shooting very early in the morning when there is no cars so you can have your shots without stressing out, because during the day there is many cars and it can be quite dangerous as you need to be in the middle of the street to have a nice shot.

5 ⭐ for this place. The background view of Mt Fuji is just breathtaking. Reminder to all tourists please obey the rules. Do not take pictures in the middle of the road since there’s traffic. If you want to do it, do it at the zebra crossing when the traffic light is red for cars

Beautiful old street with Mt Fuji as the background setting. However it is dangerous as the nicest photo must be taken in the middle of the road.

The view was nice but crowded and a bit dangerous to take photos as seen on internet (walking in the middle of the road) so we tried taking photos by the corner and it was nice too. I came here end of June so the weather was nice (not too hot and not too cold)

There are guards there, and taking ig worthy photos will be pretty difficult with the heavy traffic. Suggest to go to the adjacent street which is a smaller back lane.

Great views of Mt. Fuji from the street. Visitors need to be mindful of the vehicles using the road.

This spot was part of our tour itinerary. The bus parked at the nearby train station, and we walked over. Despite hardworking traffic wardens urging tourists not to stop for photos, many still stop in the middle of the road. I did not stop but still manage to quickly capture a few shots of Mount Fuji by crossing the road a couple of times.

Good spot to take awesome photos of mt fuji. There are lots of cars on the road, please beware of the traffic and don't disturb others. If you want to photo with Mt fuji, you can go 1 to 2 streets away for similar view and much less vehicles.

A place to see how big Mt. Fuji is. You need to be there to feel it. Pictures cannot give you that feeling.

Early in the morning is the best time when there’s almost no traffic and you can stand right on the road for quite a time for photo. Otherwise it’s just scenery or taking photos on the roadside.

Went here because of the good reviews. You just have to be quick as not to obstruct traffic nor be in danger. There are also more areas to see Mt Fuji which is much more safe and with unobstructed view. But I guess, this has its own charm.
