Amazing tour! Achi went above and beyond on my guided bird walk day - starting with picking me up at 530am from my hotel and ending with a dropoff nearly 12 hours later. The time in between was filled with an incredible number of bird sightings, all due to his keen eyes! He knows the forest and it's birds inside and out. He took us across several great places to see a variety of birds. He also packed my lunch and water, and made everything so easy for me! Highly recommend - I had such a good day.

Kuma my guide was very compassionate and competent. He knew the forest so well and had an eye for every flora and fauna.
He was witty and customised the entire experience on what was I requesting.
The tour was customised for me for a fun experience and sleeping by the waterfall and fish therapy was the best.
I recommend everyone to only use this tour operation as they are vocal for local.

Excellent experience! We had two fantastic days with Achi! He really knows the forest, he knows the birds and the best places to look for all the key Sinharaja species! He worked so hard to get us our target birds! We were very satisfied.

You can really tell Achi is a qualified ecologist, he has amazing knowledge. Brilliant naturalist and guide. Also the breakfast and lunch was excellent, they're super friendly and great company. What more can you want? Highly recommend.

Nelum and Achi were so great in organising the day for me and making sure I was happy. They organised a driver to pick me up, packed me lunch, and gave me a hot tea when I arrived back. Achi was a knowledgeable guide through the forest. It was a wet afternoon and I had some challenges with an injury but I still had a fun day and Achi made sure I got down safely. Saw wild lemongrass, a pitcher plant, lizards, millipedes and birds but honestly just seeing the forest and waterfalls was lovely too.

Being guided through the rainforest by guide Achi was amazing. The best day of our 2 week stay in Sri Lanka!

Achi’s dad, Bandula, had been guiding Sinharaja for almost 30 years and he has certainly passed his expert guiding skills on to his son, Achi! Achi is very knowledgeable about the species of flora and fauna, keen at spotting the smallest creatures that I could barely see, even when he was pointing to them, and so easy to spend time hiking this magical place with. His communication skills are excellent and he’s such an easy person to be around. Also very contentious of the forest and treats it like it was a child of his own; which was beautiful to be a part of. One of the best guides I’ve ever had.

An absolutely brilliant day, and highly recommended. Our focus was on native (especially endemic) birds and our efforts were well rewarded. Achi is very knowledgeable covering biological and geographical interests. And the views from the steeply ascending roadway are spectacular! He efficiently arranged a combination of vehicles and drivers to get us from Galle and back.

I have been to Sinharaja Rainforest two times. But I have never had a good guide like Achi. He is very talented. He explained everything very well. His knowledge was very important for my research. Thank you so much Achi.

Can highly recommend. Being in Sri Lanka is like living in a zoo and a botanical garden. Achi - I probably spelled it wrong - has all the details. He is very knowledgeable about the many species of animals. Or in our case, birds, because we went on a tour of bird watching higher up along the edge of the rainforest. Achi told me his dad and uncle were the first guides in Sinharaja. Which makes sense why Achi knows so much. Achi was really determined to spot as many exotic bird species as possible. I think we got to about 40. Many I would not have seen without him. He also provided transport and a very nice lunch.
