Blue Magpie Lodge, Kudawa, Weddagala

I recently visited Blue magpie Lodge and had a wonderful experience. The lodge is perfect for nature lovers, surrounded by lush greenery and offering peaceful view of the Sinharaja forest. The staff was very friendly and attentive, ensuring that my stay was comfortable and memorable .

Good place for a budget vacation. Conveniently located, Old, but clean rooms. Good service, helpful and attentive team. Average Sri Lankan food, close to a private bathing spot which can come in handy during busy days. large common areas that are great for a team gathering.

Bring round 5A plug adapters, as wall sockets on certain rooms are not yet updated. Good value for money!

This lodge style hotel is in the middle of the rainforest. Walking around the hotel is already very beautiful. Lots of birds and squirrels. The food is very good and the owner is so friendly. The lonely planet stated the electricity was not always available, but nowadays they are connected to the electrical grid.

This is a beautiful lodge situated in the boarder line of the Sinharaja Forest reserve in Kudawa. It's frequently visited by Birders and families looking for a quite breakaway from their routine busy lifestyle.

The Staff and the Management are very friendly and accomodative and the place is reasonably priced. You can opt for either Traditional or an Western Menu. Buffet is available if there are more guests in.

Place has a lovely stream right across the road where you can chill in if the water level is okay. Its also walking distance to Duwili Ella and a 5 min Drive to the Kudawa Sinharaja Entrance.

Reasonable rates and quite good place. Foods are also good and have a variation. Location is very close to Sinharaaja forest. Place is also very calm place and also very suitable for resting. Location is also ideal for bird watching and bird photography. If you are there for bird watching, Contact the guide called Thilak - +94 71 196 0444. He is the perfect guy.

Super good gesture. Very friendly staff. Manager Vithanage was so friendly and helpful. Am asset to the place. Great food. They go out of their way to give the best service.

Stayed here for lunch, food and staff were wonderful! Can't comment on the rooms as I didn't stay overnight
