Andres Rivera and Omar were absolute gems! Andres was not only “Johnny on the spot” in terms of swift, efficient, and impeccable service, but he also added joy-filled humor to every moment. While the food was exquisite (as always) Andres made our dining experience world class! He had us smiling and laughing and LOVING every moment of our meal. This was top-notch service, where he payed attention to our every need and predicted what we needed before we even asked. It was like no other dinning experience I’ve experienced in Puerto Vallarta in the 25 years I’ve been eating out all over town. BEYOND IMPRESSED with Andres! Thanks for a magical evening!

Andres and Eric were incredible. Talk about service and attentiveness. We celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary and this was one of the restaurants we celebrated at during our wedding in 2019. Great to come back. The food is always great, the ambience is perfect, and Andres and Eric really knocked it out of the park. We had kids with the party and they made their day. Every touch was wonderful and we will definitely be back.

I wanted this burger for a long time. Swung by Sonora Prime for lunch and, honestly, it’s as good as everyone says. This place blends steakhouse excellence with a touch of Mexican zest perfectly. They’ve got a rep for quality, and my lunch there didn’t disappoint. The Beef Wellington Burger? Out of this world. Plus, the sides, like those fries and a great cheesy refried beans will start you off right. Portions are generous, so maybe take it slow with the starters. It’s a bit pricier, but for the quality and vibe, totally worth it. Just a tip - it’s a popular spot, so maybe call ahead to snag a table

Great food and excellent service. Extremely busy night with large groups, however the kitchen staff did an outstanding job at making sure we’re all happy and well taken care of.
Kudos to the servers that were able to constantly have a smile on their faces whilst bringing drinks and answering to all the requests.
If you know the slightest bit about running a kitchen, you will appreciate the outstanding job this team is doing.

Excellent steak restaurant with nice open atmosphere. Ideal for group dinner where you order a 400-500 gram steak and cook on stone at table. Ideal for special occasions.

Amazing food and service!! Drinks are buy 1 get 1 free. We had the center rib eye and grilled veggies. Everything was amazing! Also loved how they brought out ice cream for us to celebrate our anniversary. 🥹

What a nice time, great presentation. Service was over the top and they were attentive. Serving steak after fire display was impressive. House cab was delightful. Had the cowboy Ribeye and wife had the filet. Last comment Ceaser salad was one of the best.

Best service received in Puerto Vallarta by Carlos! He is delightful and devoted himself to his work. Tomahawk steak is the best one I ve had over three times in Sonora prime in Mexico City.

Great experience, the service was amazing. The only complaint my husband had was that the music was a bit too loud. Other than that it was wonderful!

My recent visit to Sonora Prime Vallarta left me with mixed feelings. While the food and drinks were undeniably fantastic, the overall experience was marred by unprofessional behavior from some of the staff.

Let's start with the positives: the steaks at Sonora Prime Vallarta simply sublime. Cooked to perfection, each bite was a flavorful journey. Accompanied by sides that were equally delicious, it's clear that the culinary expertise in the kitchen is top-notch. Moreover, the drinks menu offered a delightful array of options, each sip enhancing the dining experience.

However, what tarnished an otherwise enjoyable evening was the unprofessional conduct of some staff members. At one point, a server made inappropriate comments regarding the tip amount, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere at our table. While I understand the importance of tipping, such remarks are entirely unacceptable and reflect poorly on the establishment.

Despite this unfortunate incident, I must acknowledge that not all staff members behaved in this manner. Some were attentive and courteous, ensuring that our needs were met throughout the meal.

In conclusion, Sonora Prime Vallarta offers exceptional food and drinks, making it a destination worth visiting for culinary enthusiasts. However, management should address the issue of unprofessional behavior among certain staff members to ensure that all guests have a pleasant dining experience.

In speaking with the manager on the floor, he simply dismissed my complaint and told me enough was enough and we left the restaurant.

This is the BEST restaurant in Puerto Vallarta. Luis Villa and Alfredo Palomera were absolutely outstanding with their service and attention to detail. Everything from the food, ambiance, decor, service, and presentation of the food was above and beyond. This was truly a luxurious experience. We will definitely return every time we visit PV. BEST meal we had during our time here. Cannot recommend this place enough..you will not be disappointed.

This place has some amazing street tacos! I also love the different salts from all over the world. The beans and salsas were very good too. Also give the hibiscus margarita a try! Very tasty. Service was good as well! Will definitely return when I’m back in Puerto Vallarta.

We came here for Thanksgiving Dinner and oh my goodness what an experience!! The servers went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our dinner, even brought my nephew some crayons and coloring book to keep entertained. Jaime and Luis are wonderful!!! They were so attentive and kind, and so funny too! We will definitely come back thanks to them!

This place is 10 of 10. Great atmosphere, great service, and superb food. The tomato basil soup was the best I've ever had. We ordered filet steaks and they came on a hot stone in a wood box (similar to Ruth Chris hot plate, but much better and lasted the whole meal). We order medium rare because they'll continue to cook to your liking right in front of you. The black salt seasoning was amazing on the steaks. One of the best steaks I've eaten.
The atmosphere was excellent and the decor was trendy and unique. There was a DJ mixin' up great music from 80's, 90's, and through today. Super cool feel with an energetic vibe.

One of the best steaks of my life! Living in Las Vegas we frequent fine dining steak houses with celebrity chefs & this place tops them all! The service was top notch and the food presentation was incredible. I absolutely recommend to dine here on your trip, this will be the highlight of your dining experiences in PV!

My husband and I ate here several times while on vacation. The food and service was amazing. Mario created an amazing dining experience, I highly recommend you request him! Definitely make this one of your stops in Puerto Vallarta and splurge on the Waygu steak.

I went in on a Friday afternoon around 2pm was sat immediately. I ordered local mineral water the bubbles were light very refreshing. Next I ordered Passion Margarita came quickly what I did not know was 2 for 1 yippee my next margarita was watermelon. Included with my meal was fresh chips and house special of bubbling cheese and beans, with 6 house made salsas 3 in varying degrees of spice and 3 savory. My main was a Beef Carpaccio it was amazing best I ever had topped with artichoke fritters and caper powder. Drinks were very balanced. Service was amazing.
