The more you spend time in chitwan National Park the more you will feel the nature and wildlife Species. The time spent will be truly amazing, splendid and fantabulous. The guides are too experienced and capable to explain every wildlife and their nature with the existential values.

The peace of the sound of the forest is completely different. Such a clean and beautiful nature. A forest walk on elephants and a canoe ride on the river are spectacular. You are sure to see gazelles, rhinos, elephants and monkeys. In total there are 128 tigers in the park. But it is almost impossible to see a tiger in the parts of the forest you enter. Definitely go. Revitalize your senses that have become dull in the city.

We did two days of walking safari and saw quite some animals. We were visiting after the rainy season and the grass was very high, so hard to spot animals. Maybe better to go before. Still it was an rewarding experience. We saw many Rhinos, a Sloth bear, a lot of crocodiles, a monitor lizard, many deer, monkeys, a very rare brown fish owl and many other birds.

Jeep safaris go too fast, so it is difficult to see anything. Managed to see monkeys and deer but saw many more of these in their natural setting by walking and being quiet. Try and avoid doing anything with Chinese tourists as they are very loud, and your chances of seeing anything will be minimal. Canoe trip is great in the morning. Saw both types of crocodiles and lots of bird life.

This is an underrated place in Nepal. When we hear about Nepal, first is told about everest, Kathmandu, pokhara. But chitwan is equally beautiful, if planning for nepal, do not miss going to Chitwan National park, it offers multiple types of safari, jeep safari, canoeing Safari, elephant safari and most thrilling of all jungle walk. Yes, we can walk into jungle with guides to explore wildlife on foot. We sighted an angry rhino while on foot, overall there is good sighting in this park.

Chitwan National Park was a wild ride (literally!), but navigating the ticket situation was a bit of a jungle in itself. Here's the lowdown:

SKIP THE 2-HOUR JEEP SAFARI, unless you're a botanist who gets off on admiring tall grass. It's basically a grassy drive through community forest, not worth it. Trust me, your inner Tarzan deserves better!

OPT FOR THE 4-HOUR JEEP SAFARI, it is where the magic happens. They'll take you deep into the jungle's heart with way higher odds of spotting tigers, rhinos, leopards, and other wildlife. Trust me, the extra cost is worth the chance to see these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.

NOW ONTO THE TICKET PRICES, there's no official government rate! So, compare rates at multiple tour information centers before committing. And make sure the quoted price for the Jeep Safari includes park permits and guide fees. Otherwise, you might end up with surprise charges later.

Standard Rates for Your Reference:

2-hour buffer zone jeep safari: Rs 800 per person (skip it!)
4-hour national park jeep safari: Rs 1650 per person (do it!)

While elephant rides are offered (Rs. 1000 for 25 minutes, Rs. 1800 for 1.5 hours), consider ethical alternatives like jungle walks or canoe safaris. Concerns about animal welfare exist. Choose experiences that prioritize the well-being of these magnificent creatures.

A real nice lodge right on the riverside north of Chitwan park near Sauraha. We were picked up at busstation and friendly received at the camp site. We booked a full and later a half day safari in the park and a walking safari. They all were very good although we didn't get to see a tiger we saw lots of rhinos.
The rooms are good although the bathroom needs an update.
Restaurant served good food and was tended by a very friendly man who pointed the crocs out to us.
Wifi reception near the river could be better.
Would fully recommend this place.

It's a great place to see the wildlife, great variety of birds and lage mammals and reptiles. It's worth the visit but the bus ride from Kathmandu is a little bit too long, if you got the money, fly there!

Had a great jungle safari with my host at Tiger Corner Inn in Sauraha. Set off at 7a.m for an hour long canoe ride down the Madi River where we saw crocodiles basking on the bank. This was followed by a 3 hour walk through the jungle where we saw rhino, spotted deer, langor monkeys and several species of birds. Also saw scratched recently made by a tiger and fresh tiger spoor. A quick lunch, then 4 hour ride in open top jeep through the jungle. Our guide and his assistant were very knowledgeable. Safety was a priority, we were very well looked after, thoroughly recommend.

Really nice Park. Even as it was raining nearly the whole day we could see some rhinos just 20 meters next to the car. Furthermore plenty of other animals. Birds, deers, boars, etc. Unfortunately we had no luck in seeing tigers.
