Hua Hin Pier

Hua Hin Pier offers a convenient gateway to Koh Lanta, with a smooth ticketing process located a few hundred meters before the pier. It's crucial to purchase tickets beforehand at the booth. For foreigners, the cost is 50 baht for a car and driver, plus an additional 30 baht per passenger. The ferry service is commendable, operating frequently and eliminating the need for extended waits.

Very straight forward if you are crossing with a transfer. However if crossing alone with a rented car or bike you will need to purchase the ticket at the discreet pay stand about 75-100 metres before the pier. So definitely ensure you fully research that before heading for the crossing. Once on the bridge ferry you can exit your vehicle and take a stand on the top tier and enjoy the beautiful views. Crossing takes no longer then 20 minutes and the overall onboarding and offboarding is super fast. I don’t know if you can cross by foot. I presume so, however everyone in the one we get on were in vehicles. So again worth researching some more.

One of the cheapest way to reach Koh Lanta is through this pier. Convenient and cheap. Ticket for foreigners is 50bht/head, 2 wheelers is 10bht. The lady at the ticket counter was really nice and helpful. Frequency of ferry was around 15-20mins. It was well organised. A person was there who was sequentially filling up the ferry first with cars then with bikes. The journey was very smooth and pleasant with great views of the Andaman sea and nearby islands.
There was a sudden storm yet the service wasn't disrupted. Shelters and small convenient stores were present nearby. We will again use this route when we come next time.

Great (and pretty sure only) way to get to Ko Lanta - cars, busses, scooters, trucks and people load onto the ferry and cross in what takes approximately 20-30 minutes time from loading to unloading, though very contingent on the line and time of day.

A ferry service here running every 20-30 minutes. Very nice views so get off the car and enjoy the views from the ferry while approaching Koh Lanta.

Very convenient ferry service from here. Been here many times. Now on Koh Lanta Noi there's a bridge linking it to Koh Lanta Yai. Ferry ride is very smooth and staff work efficiently and safely. Waiting time isn't that long.

From this pier to ko lanta just 10 min by ferry ⛴ the price is 25 bath for person with a bike. Ferry go each 30 min😉

Koh Lanta Yai and Koh Lanta Noi are connected with a bridge, Koh Lanta Yai does not have roads connecting it directly to the mainland, but is served by regular car ferries.

Departures from Hua Hin Pier are frequent throughout the day, from 7 am to 10 pm; the crossing takes about 20 minutes and it cost is about 110THB for two people and car per one-way.

Leaving Koh Lanta, you can only leave or arrive on the island during the hours of (approx.) 6am to 10pm, while the car ferry services are running. Boats leave from the pier in Khlong Mak pier.

A ferry service for Koh Lanta. We got their by hitchhiking so only paid 20 THB per person for the ferry. It goes every 20 mins from 6.00 AM till 22.00.

I didn't know that i need to purchase ferry ticket here. The ticket booth is located about 400m from the pier (80 baht one way for foreigners). Only waited less than 15 min to get onboard onto the ferry. The crossing took only about 10-15min.

Good to know if you are on a bike go to the pier and buy tickets there 24 baht for 1 person and bike.

What's to say? A value priced ferry that is quick and efficient between Koh Lanta Noi and the mainland. The ferry accomodates cars and Motos for under 200 baht. Very fairly priced. Updated January 2023. No change in experience.

This is the car/bike ferry pier from Krabi land to Koh lanta island. You must buy the ferry ticket about 500m before the pier. There is a drive through ticket counter. The vehicles move fast, we had to wait only for about 10-15 minutes to get on to the ferry in car que. Ferry ride is about 15 minutes.
