Shark bay is absolutely stunning. Yes if you’re outside of the resort you bay 100baht which in my opinion is absolutely worth it. Stunning water, not a SINGLE piece of rubbish on the beach when we arrived. People saying the security guard came over demanding money… he came over and politely asked if we paid, once we said yes he went.

If there has been a storm the day or night before it is likely some rubbish can wash up on the beach, it is a bay, the currents will bring it in. We seemed to have the indication that litter was being picked up as it was pristine!!

Coral is dead but still plenty of fish. If you want to know where to view the turtles, go to shark bay bar!! A must. Ignore the boats, there’s plenty of turtles away from them. We spent a good 20 minutes with the biggest green turtle we have ever seen who was completely unbothered by us until a boat caught on and came over. As soon as it came off it went.

Definitely a must visit place, ignore the reviews of the rubbish and the payment. It’s pennies.

If you swim in about 100m past the coral graveyard, you will see turtles! They chill out here and graze every day. Awesome place to chill and grab a beer.

Beautiful beach, quite calm, not very crowded, easy to climb coconut tree, very friendly security, we stayed for 3 hours, after that the security found us and asked if we have paid already, which we didn't, so he asked if we want to stay and pay or simply leave.

Beautiful bay with turtles. Beach is amazing also. Free entry via Rocky Resort on the east side of the beach. Sand is lovely and it’s perfect to swim in.

At first a bit difficult to find, but just leave your moped where the others park and walk through the woods, than enter downstairs. Nice little beach surrounded by mountains but of course very crowded. Bar at the beach will provide you everything to relax for a day, enjoy the sun and maybe even snorkel!

Great little spot to snorkel. The day we went, the water was a little choppy and rough, so I didn't snorkel, but my husband did.

Awesome bay with nice clear water. The beacht of the secret bay is reachable only through the hotel and costs 100 Baht. Another way to get there is by boat. When you are there you can see the great rocks surrounding the bay. When diving we saw 3 turtoises.

not easy to get to it but in Koh Tao could be one of the nicest shore-snorkelling beaches

Nice bay with one little and another bigger beach to stay. Perfect to snorkeling during high tide and see lots of fishes and huge turtles!

High potential to find small black tip shark and turtles. Big turtle is familiar with tourist while small one will stay away from us.

Accessible by motorcycle and boat.

We saw 6 turtles and two with the size of a leatherback (which it wasnt, example just for size).

Coral is quite dead but it's a great place to see wildlife. If you want to see more sharks, Aow Leuk Bay has way more shark traffic near the rocks on the right side.

Definitely one of the most beautiful beaches on Koh Tao. The water is very clear and the white sand is very fine. If you come, you should consider that the entrance costs 100 baht and entitles you to Wi-Fi, a chair and a shower.

Great place! We saw many turtles and one big black tip shark and a couple baby's. Mostly after 4 pm.

There's not really a beach with chairs to relax, but a small beach with a stand for drinks and oce cream. At their entrance you can enter for free. We went down at the hotel and they ask for an admission of 50 baht.

I lost my go pro after filming a turtle. Thanks for the guy who found it and returned it. If you read this send me a text at my insta @findingjaimy and I will send you the footage 😉

Very nice beach, most of the main beach is private so you have to swim to get there 😁 is only 5 min swim and if you are lucky you will see little baby sharks!

To come to the wonderful very nice and romantic beach of course with the boat or walking from the Hill down. Then you find a white Sandbeach full of Palmtrees. Snorkeling is so nice, here you find easy little Shark, Seaturtles. If you like to have a Drink at the Beachbar they offer everything like Milk,- Fruitshakes, Beer, Coffee, Alcoholics and non Alcoholics.

Hope everyone gets lucky to easily find 🐢🐢.
There is its home at Shark bay, depend on whether they go playing outside or not.

Try to notice where people stay together. It’s a chance that turtles are there.

Go by boat might more easily than diving from beach or hotel.

Great beach for snorkel, not to crowded. Enter through Rocky Resort, otherwise they will ask you 50b fee

World class beach - great spot for snorkeling with big turtles next to you - does not get to busy as it’s a bit isolated to get there - shallow water - come when the tide is high

You have to pay to enter through the the resort. But well worth. For snorkeling, on the shore..the water is too shallow and visibility is bad. But head sea inside and you'll see plenty of fish and corals and even some turtle! Don't touch anything!
