Twiga Lodge

We had a great couple of days camping at the Twiga Lodge campground. Everything was tidy, clean and immaculate and we had a great stay. The hosts Paul and Erica are very hospitable and are a wealth of knowledge! I highly recommend a stay here!

Erica and Paul have been hugely influential on our Overlanding adventure through Tanzania. We were fortunate enough to stay at there Lodge at the start of our tour and their hospitality and guidance has made our trip unforgettable.

Twiga Lodge is a real home away from home! It is located directly next to Arusha national park with elephants walking through the garden regularly and bush babys sitting in the trees.
The rooms are spacious, clean and lovingly decorated, the staff and the owners are amazing and make everyone feel welcome and special. The food by chef Esther is delicious.
Twiga is the perfect start for your Tanzanian trip and a lovely place to work or just to relax in the garden or on the terrace.
We also rented a perfectly maintained self drive car from them and they organized our whole trip (permits, camp sites, lodges) for us so we could solely focus on your Safari adventure.
We cannot wait to be back!

This is a wonderful place. The grounds are stunning, and the accommodations are beautiful, quiet, and comfortable. The food is insanely good—don’t forget to order a bacon buttie! They also have a lovely campground. But most of all, the owners are a treasure: a warm, welcoming couple who make you feel right at home. I cannot recommend it enough. A++++!

We were treated like royalty by all staff and they were so genuinely nice people. Rooms are clean -nice shower, clean sheets and towels - just what you want. We had been on safari all day. It was lovely to be greeted by the receptionist JACQUELINE, who showed us around, lovely to see the welcoming swimming pool and even nicer to be assigned our very own chef for the evening - FAUSTINE SONGA . The food was perfect, he cooked us the best soup we have both ever tasted / pumpkin soup, WOW! It is impossible (and we tired) to find a better Hotel to stay. Great hotel, excellent staff who are genuine and down to earth providing the best service, making you feel special! Give me Twiga (giraffe) lodge any day - just like the giraffe, they reach the highest standards.

What a beautiful place to stay! Rooms were clean and cozy!!
Paul and Erica were most welcoming. My family and I enjoyed our conversations with them and loved having our dinners with them.

Great campsite close to Arusha. Tarmac road up to about 1km from the lodge. Camping fees are 15USD pppn. Grassy camp spot with excellent ablution facilities with hot water.

I'm sure this place is great and was really looking forward to staying here during our safari. However, it turned out we were booked into the Twiga Lodge and Campsite, at Mto wa mbu over 100km away. Which is a dump - don't make the same mistake!

The view and a night here is none to compare.. We are not only neighbours but occasionally share wildlife drama and fun with elephants and buffalo's etc..

Splendido posto! vicinissimo al parco di Arusha ha la vista spettacolare sul monte Meru. Curato e ben organizzato offre un soggiorno in una oasi africana di natura esuberante con tutte le comodità. Erika e Paul sono gentilissimi e veramente sembra di essere a casa di amici.
Assolutamente una bella scoperta che merita tornarci!!

Wir haben hier 2 Nächte gecampt. Wie wurden superfreundlich aufgenommen. WC und Dusche waren sauber und freundlich. Am 2ten Tag haben wir familiär zu Abend gegessen, es war super lecker 😋 Die Tour durch den NP war ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder 👍👍👍
