Osiligilai Maasai Lodge

I often send guests to this lodge, my last guests sent on June were a family of 3 American. After 1 night spent, they requested an extra night for they loved the lodge so much, they views Mout Kilimanjaro open right from their room. They loved a guided walking tour, they leant the indigenous medicinal plants, they loved overnight maasai dance, they said it was the best place to be for the season. I personally recommend osiligilai Maasai Lodge

Spent a night here during a cycling tour with One Bike Tanzania. Amazing cultural experience, and the proceeds help support the surrounding communities. We felt lavished with attention the entire time, and learned a lot about the Maasai people. A very unique and memorable experience! Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed this Lodge. Everyone was so friendly. Their activities were really enjoyable. The rooms were very comfortable. It is more authentic then most lodges. I think that's why I really liked it. I felt like you really had an African experience. The pool was amazing and the view from the pool couldn't be beat. I have traveled to 55 African countries and I think this is one of my favorite. I really loved the people !! I will return ! I go to Africa 3-4 times a year.

It was amazing to experience such an Authentic Maasai life style in a very nice accommodation in spectacular view between Kilimanjaro and Meru Mountains. William and the team were so humble and charming, maasai dances and BBQ left a remarkable memories. Thank you sana.

Staying at Osiligilai lodge(new lodge) was a wonderful experience, one that I will never forget! The staff makes you really feel at ease. I was surprised with the Maasai welcoming ritual by arrival a very unique an amazing way of welcoming guests. One of the staff members showed us around and brought us to one of the bungalows that we stayed in. The bungalow looked really nice from the inside as it has been decorated all the way through in Maasai style. The place is owned by Maasai therefore, you are guaranteed to have an authentic Maasai experience. The food was amazing as you could taste the freshness and the effort that has been put into it. The lodge has a sauna and an infinity pool that has a breath-taking view over the valleys all the way through the mountains behind. If you are looking for a place to relax and set your mind this is absolutely a must visit when you’re in de Kilimanjaro area. The location is perfectly in between the two highest mountains of Tanzania, the Mount Kilimanjaro and the Mount Meru.
It is great to stay here after a long Safari trip or after climbing the Kilimanjaro or any other intensive physical activity.

Authentic with beauty at Maasai Lodge
Accommodations were spectacular. What a sunset view, neat, clean, room. Comfortable bed, lots of hot water for showers. I really enjoyed my balcony overlooking the the view of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount meru watching the sun set, having a drink. The meals were tasty with plenty of food, even seconds if you liked. (too full but a second bowl of soup was delicious). Friendly and efficient service, wish I had more time to just sit and enjoy the view. It’s 100% local owned Maasai lodge 74km from Moshi and 74km from Arusha.

From the time you arrive you feel welcome by the amazing group of people staffing this place. Everyone smiles and are happy, dancing and giving you a show. But unlike other Masaai camps or visits this place actually feels genuine and real.

The place is run by Masaai people, not just someone who dresses up. You as a visitor really gets a full cultural experience and get to know the background of this amazing group. You get to engage in activities, feasts around the campfire and nature walks.

Rooms are huts build as traditional style but with real toilet, shower and running water. Moreover you wake up to an amazing sunrise with Mt Kilimanjaro in the horizon. Could not ask for more!

If you are looking for an experience of true Tanzanian culture, here is the place. The staff are very friendly and active 24/7. I've seen such energy,commitment and charisma from a group of people as i saw at osiligilai maasai lodge.I will go back there again and again anytime. I definitely recommend it to all the culture lovers.

If you want to visit maasai tribe this is definitely a place to go. Maasai in this village were very friendly and show us theire life style in a fun way. Lodges are clean and beautiful, food was excellent. I really recommend it to anyone who want a true Maasai experience.

What a great cultural experince at this beautiful lodge. Everything was perfect Environment, people amd food was very delicious without forgetting my beautiful room with view of mount kilimanjaro and mount Meru,I was feeling like am at home ....surrounded with beautiful people from Osigililai. If you want to experience true and authentic maasai culture this is a place for you with lot's of suprise.

I arrived late afternoon at lodge then I took my lunch and rest for a while followed with sundown together with maasai dance and get a chance to learn and practice how maasai fight with lion when kills their cows after we went back to lodge for seat at fire drinking and singing with maasai worries before our dinner.
Next day our best guide Mr. Samwel together with Mr. William took us for short hike learning different local medicines and get to know more about maasai culture.

It was great with Maasai facilities, dance and you will be served by Maasai locals, its place you won't wish to say goodbye and if your planning to climb Mount Kilimanjaro through lemosho route it's the best to place to visit before taking off.

they have the best customer service, good prices and there environment is so real based on nature..! the place is also quiet , the view of sundown and mount kilimanjaro is just wonderful. i also love the way they potray Masai culture. this place is a must be !

We spent two nights at Osiligilai Maasai Lodge and that was definitely too short
Everything was perfectly clean, decorations are beautiful
Pool and sauna have an insane view
Moreover the experience there was priceless
Gabriel was taking care of us and was amazing
We had a great time with him as well as the rest of the team
We loved the activities at Osiligilai and everyone was so friendly, nice and smiling all the time
Also it is good to know that all the benefits goes to help the Massai community
This place is just magic and everyone should go there at least once in his life 🙏🏼❤
