Rockford Speedway

Goodbye, Rockford speedway. You we're the most family-friendly, craziest race track on America. I hope you cashed out huge selling the land and enjoy the fruits of your labor for many generations. It was a wonderful experience.

Races are a blast! Prices are reasonable for beer and food without lines being out of control. A hell of a good time for a cheap price. Bathrooms are a bit rough but that is kind of the norm for tracks like this. Would definitely come back and recommend to others.

Great races and experiences. Some butt heads will iritate you while you are there but overall try to avoid them. Ive been going since i was a little kid snd always had fun.

This track does all sorts of things from local short track racing to big ARCA events, monster trucks, drifting and awesome special event types like figure 8 and trailer races. Friendly people, kids play area, good food and drink choices along with a gift shop. Wheelchair friendly.

My first time here and I had a great time. There are a variety of races and the people watching does not disappoint.

Went to kids day. What a great day. They put on a great show. Drivers were all wonderful with the kids.
Sad, this was the last time for this event.

I love the way they always have a different theme every race. Tonight they had a car drive into the pool and had pyrotechnics which really excited the children. Always a great time with family!

Great family fun! Good sportsmanship and high entertainment value. Also consessions are not terribly priced. Every year the trailer race is a must see!

Glad we went to see a race since it’s the final year. We really enjoyed all the races and the fireworks! It was a great show. I’m sure this track will be missed by many drivers as well as fans.

THANK YOU!!! I’m really going to miss this place. The 5 star is for a life of memories and the impact it has done. I started working there as a kid. Then took my kids there for the races. Ton of memories, trying to get in the finale year of memories.

This was the first track that I ever went to that got me into the sport of racing. It's been a long time since I've been there, and I now live over 2000 miles away. I hope to get back there to see some racing again one day. It's like your first girlfriend. You will always remember her! Saturday night lights, baby!

As the anniversary of our nation's independence drew near, I sought a venue at wich to celebrate. I chose the Rockford Speedway. Although this year almost every town chose to celebrate on the 3rd rather than the 4th, speedway included, a good time was had by all. Thanks Rockford Speedway, you are truly kings among men!

I love local live action racing. This is a gem for the community

The action on the track was great. They try real hard to keep the show going on schedule and the seats are the best bleacher seats I've ever sat on anywhere.

That being said I understand why the family is getting out. The track needs millions of dollars in work and the taxes on that place have to be through the roof. A piece of Rockford history is being lost and its sad every time I drive by.

Farewell, Rockford Speedway. Was a fantastic childhood going nearly every year! This place should be a LANDMARK, not just some land to drop a Khols and a McDonald's.
