Dundee Bar and Grill

A great place in a small town! We stopped in with family after riding our side x sides to Backbone Park. We sat outside on their large patio and enjoyed our pizza and onion rings. The pizza was delicious and baked to perfection. Our waitress was super nice! We will stop in again when we're in the area.

We traveled over an hour from home to do some trout fishing and needed a good dinner place. We stopped by Dundee Bar and grill and our waitress Cindy was PHENOMENAL. We hands down will be back with our friends and family and hope to have her again!! The prices and portion sizes were outstanding compared to everything back home!

I recently visited Dundee Bar and Grill, and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was laid-back and welcoming, perfect for a casual meal.

The service was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. CINDY WAS FANTASTIC!

Definitely will be coming back!

We visited mid-week a couple times while camping at the nearby State Park. The bar is nicely decorated, with knotty pine and limestone giving it a woodsy, lodge feel. Note: they take cash or checks-- no credit cards. They do have an ATM though.

The burgers are very thick and very tasty. We had the mushroom Swiss burger twice. I also tried the tenderloin (it was also a good sandwich, but if you are really, really into tenderloins drive up to the bar in St. Olafs, where they are the house specialty). Dundee Bar has daily specials, they have pizza, and have a popular fish fry on Fridays.

The staff was fantastic--outgoing, friendly, and checked on us regularly. The bar was clean, has nice seating, and also has an outdoor patio. Some of the other customers looked like locals/regulars and were friendly-- the bar had a welcoming atmosphere. I'll happily return anytime we are in the area.

While camping at Backbone SP went to Dundee for supper. My wife rates eateries by their crispy chicken sandwich and this one tops them all. A nice light breading with lettuce, tomato and good dill slices no condiments needed. Cindy took good care of us sitting at the bar. Pizza was great also.

The fish is always the top-notch even the fries are excellent potato salad everything all of it friendly peoples excellent service. Cheers up just walking in. You won’t regret showing up there.

Dundee is our hometown bar. The beer garden is like no other and their pizzas are top notch always. If you are looking to get a burger, I highly recommend you try the dundee burger.

Good food with large portion sizes. Great spot to eat if you're camping in Backbone.

I decided to stop here for lunch after a hike at Backbone State Park, and I am so glad I did. This bacon cheeseburger was seriously one of the best I have ever had, and I’ve had a lot of them.

The pizza was delicious! We had the all meat with thick crust and it was loaded, lots of cheese. We had great service. It was a week night so probably quiet compared to weekends. Our only complaint was they do not take cards, just cash. Luckily there was an ATM machine.

Great atmosphere, live music, out door seating

Great staff and great prices. Just a few miles from Backbone Park in Iowa. We just got done hiking 8 miles with the kids and needed some good food and cold drinks. The pizza was exactly what we were needing. The rest of the menu looked awesome. We will be stopping back the next time we are out that way.

Their pizza is incredible here. Any combos or toppings are topped with lots of cheese. Other dinners are good too although I've tasted only 5 other dishes. BE AWARE: THIS RESTAURANT ACCEPTS ONLY CASH PAYMENT. The staff treated us like we were absolutely stupid for not knowing that. We were guests from 2 hours away and found the place after camping at a nearby state park. To be fair, our personal wait staff person was friendly.

Me and my wife were in area and decided to try this place. Glad we did. Food was absolutely delicicious and our server(Cindi) was so courteous and friendly. Will definately be back again. Darren & Tiffany

A weekend away from our small town we stumbled upon this place while staying at backbone for the weekend. The food was absolutely out of this world! But what was more amazing then the food was the service we got! Nothing makes you feel more at home than a great vibe from some great people! Highly recommend this place and will be going back for many years to come!

My husband and I were on our honeymoon in the Manchester area and stopped if for a few drinks and some food the bartender was super nice and the taco pizza was to die for! It was a mountain of delicious toppings! The whole area was clean and staff were amazingly friendly
