NEW OWNERS as of Sept. 2021, I just found this out now being July 2022 and I'M BACK! It was the husband and wife team working and I especially like their bread choices and prices! A changing variety from $4-$6 and they'll slice it if you ask.Cranberry pecan and olive rosemary to name a couple, great flavor and a good size loaf too . What's up with our other local bakers charging double that?! The couple is very friendly and polite unlike the former owners and that's what has kept me from going back. All the prices have remained very fair and the variety is good and the product looks better than ever. A nice big portion of bread pudding has my name on it for 4 bucks next time I go in. So glad we have some new owners who obviously really care. The Carlocks I use to love is back! And PS the day old bread rack is half off! John :o)

Pictures don’t do this cake justice. Our wedding was 08/20/2022 at our home in Los Osos. We ordered a two-tier (small) wedding cake; gluten free pumpkin with blue and purple icing flowers. We also ordered a half sheet of lemon squares, gluten free magic bars, and lots of macaroons. Wow! Our dessert table was filled with delicious treats that our guests adored. Our wedding cake was so moist and delicious! I’m over the moon. Thank you Dante and Patricia. You’ve done an amazing job and you have customers for life.

P.S. We love all the upgrades you’ve done at the shop. It looks so modern and clean!

Underrated old school bakery! Croissants are delicious and value (~$4 each) filled with ham/cheese and spinach/mushroom. They even have the option to heat it up for you if preferred. Great pit stop for a quick snack during hwy1 drive. Also Starbucks next door if you don’t feel like grabbing boba but who would haha

I made a special trip this morning to get the first of the traditional Hot Cross Buns. Wow, it was really fresh and tasty. I’ll be back for more before the week is out. I also picked up a loaf of cranberry pecan bread. Great to have an alternative to walnuts. I appreciate the friendly new owners who seem eager to please. Thanks for keeping the Carlock’s traditions alive.

Their cronuts are the best I've ever had! Adding the Bavarian cream puts them over the top!

My husband lived in Los Osos in the late 80s, and Carlock's was one of his breakfast favorites. I can totally understand why! Great breakfast, great baked goods too - we brought a good selection home with us. Highly recommend.

Carlock’s has new owners and has taken something that was very good to a new level. They have all the old favorites (Heidelberg flip, cheese danish, bacon fritter) and a ton of new and fresh items. Had the blackberry scone today. Delicious! Am eagerly looking forward to the bread pudding next time.

Delightful local bakery with creative savory and sweet items on the menu. Love the staff around here and they serve locally roasted coffee. Do try their cronut which is a croissant plus donut.

CARLOCK'S BAKERY IS BACK. FINALLY. I have been coming to this bakery since I was a child. The previous owners absolutely sucked. I am very happy to report that carlocks is again under new ownership and they absolutely rock. The donuts are fresh and soft just like I remember them in my childhood. I am sooo happy for the new owners. This place is on the comeback big time.

I was really excited when I found Carlock's. They're an old-school bakery and conspicuous in their lack of a niche. You can get custom order or get ready-made cakes, and they have lots of pies, cookies, donuts, danish, muffins, bread, gluten free stuff... When you're looking at the case, make sure to turn around because all of their fresh bread is behind you and it's easy to miss it.

Great long time family owned-run bakery with large variety of treats to choose from...including gluten-free yummies. About half the price as SLO Do Co by the way. I recommend the apple fritters and turkey croissants and take a loaf of gluten-free banana bread home for a weekend treat.
