Grocery Outlet

I love shopping at Grocery Outlet. The prices are great, people are friendly. However, they don't have everything, and if you are a stickler for some exact item, you might be disappointed. I don't let that stop me, I shop there first and then on to Ralph's if they don't have what I need.

Bright & cheery store & staff. Good variety in a very clean environment.

Out of all the other GO's in SLO County, this is one of my favorites, and one can almost always find some great deal on something. It is also on the way home for me after hitting the Baywood Farmers Market and then driving a scenic drive along the quiet Los Osos coast. While the BFM is great for somethings, one needs to stop at GO to get things like dairy and staples.

Like others of this kind, there are some good bargains if you look carefully. Some organic items & some special items that you may not find in the usual grocery...such as Hard Apple Cider on sale.

It is a great pit stop to pick-up cost effective snacks after going to the many local well known or little known beach parks.

The star of the show is Montaña de Oro State Park, but near little known Baywood "town", there are other cool beach parks.

I have come to love all GOBM's in our area. I love the bargains, especially when it comes to dairy, Muscat wines, German Wines, condiments, staples, snacks, and discounted seasonal items.

As in all these stores, there are gems if you look, compare, and read all the labels carefully. Some items are packed with salt or sugar. Some are close to expiration, while others are good for years.

Even the chicken, pork, & meat selection is quite good and fresh.

I love Grocery Outlet. I always go there before I go anywhere else. They have organic food items and produce. Great prices on wine, meat, cheeses, etc. The people are friendly. I usually find almost everything I need at the store.

Super friendly staff who know all of the local, because they also live here. Great deals on items you regularly will need, but you can't always expect to find what you want. If you shop daily or close like I do, they are a great resource. My go to place for TacoWorks

This store is the best thing to ever happen to Los Osos. LO was for many years a one-grocery store town, and it (the employees) acted like it. Then in comes Grocery Outlet, with Top quality groceries at crazy-low prices. I've bought big-name products here at pennies on the dollar, i.e. 6-pounds of Tomboy hotdogs for 97¢. And the employees go out of their way to help you
In closing, let me say bring bags with you, even if you're just going in for one small item. You will see things you want, at prices that will give you night sweats if you pass them up

We stopped in to get a few things as we were nearby. I was amazed at the prices! A decent selection of organic food. I would shop there on occasion if we lived closer. Similar to food for less but smaller.

My favorite store. Best prices, selection varies but best bang for your buck.

I like this store they have inexpensive stuff. Not just groceries. Beauty products and more. Their inventory varies each time so never know if you can get the same thing. But for food they usually are pretty well stocked.

Love this place. Such a great selection, lovely checkout folks, great prices. Love the meat selection, especially the pre-seasoned since we live full time in a van and don’t have as many spices as we’d like to have. Snacks, frozen food, dairy, and veggie sections are great too. We always save so much money and we appreciate the email sale ads too. Thanks!

This is a great discount store. It has the coolest albeit off the wall products at great prices and in strange quantities. You never know what you’ll find.

I'm writing this review for one reason - to bring attention to an employee who deserves a raise and all the praise that can be heaped upon him. If you visit this store look for Mike, the manager. He runs this store extremely well. When you walk in the first thing you notice is the beautiful layout and appealing displays. Before you've taken more than a few steps you are greeted warmly. Throughout the store you see a team of friendly, knowledgeable, attentive worker bees eager to be of assistance.
The day I walked into this store I was having a bad day/week/month and was struggling to keep it together. As I walked through the store the unthinkable happened - my shoe broke. After cursing my luck I spotted a well-stocked display of attractive slides and sandals and thought my dilemma was solved. After picking an attractive pair I approached the register and reached in my back pocket for my wallet - only to find it empty. My mind flashes to the last place I had it... in my purse which I did not bring. Oh no! I just shake my head and explain to the cashier that I just realized I don't have my wallet. I am literally at my wit's end. I decided to just throw myself on her mercy. I show her what has happened to my shoe and I explained that my wallet is in the car maybe 2 minutes away. I know that trusting a stranger is not a thing so I offer to leave my phone as collateral until I return if she would just let me wear the new shoes to go get it. Her response is that I need to ask the manager who happens to be standing right next to her. Mike is his name. He walks with me to a closed register to talk to me and I go through my whole spiel again. He quietly listens to my tale of woe and as I think he's deciding I keep talking, trying to offer more to sweeten the deal. Next thing I know it's all over and I am look at the store with my broken shoes in my hands and not barefooted. And I have Mike to thank for that. Treated me with respect and dignity and compassion. All the soul-crushing events of my last 48 hours melted away and a tear even fell. I don't think I can express what his kindness meant to me but other than to say it lifted me out of a dark hole I had been unable to climb out of on my own. He restored my faith in humanity and reminded me that there still are altruistic, compassionate, good people sprinkled around in this world. If you get the chance visit this store and look for this amazing manager. He'll remind you that not all heroes wear capes! Give this man a raise! Every company should have a person like this as the face of their business. Grocery Outlet is lucky to have him. Go see for yourself.

Great deals, fun bargain bin. Sometime u find out for 25cents that chocolate coconut water is definetly not ur thing, while Cheetos brand Mac n cheese is better than Kraft.

Great place to shop no matter the city

I LOVE Grocery Outlet. Maybe it's because I just never know what I will find there this time that I never knew I needed and had to have. The prices kinda rule, they've got a pretty darn decent beer, cider and wine selection also priced very well. There's always something you need there. May as well just go in and find out.

Love the efficiency and happy attitude of my favorite checker, Arlene! If you are in doubt about local or imported wines they carry, ask the staff. All really nice and helpful.

We could never pay Ralph's prices after going here. Check the discount table by the wine. Good wine selection 👌. Staff is always restocking. Michele and Megan are very genuine and helpful. I love the friendliness and service I get here. Great Amy's frozen products too.
