Every staff member I came into contact with was exceptional in taking care of me. From the time I got to the er, until I was discharged after hip surgery, I was treated with kindness and compassion. I am absolutely thrilled I went to this hospital and loved every one of my nurses, doctors and surgeons!! I can't remember every name, but Katherine, Anna, Isabel, Cesar, Dr. Pham and my wonderful orthopedic surgeon Dr. Spencer! Thank you all!!

We are from out of town and when my wife suddenly experienced intense abdominal pain, we had no idea where to get care. After visiting two "urgent care" facilities, which provided no care and certainly demonstrated zero urgency (Carbon Health, we are looking at you), we ended up at the ER room here. This hospital obviously deals with a very diverse and often lower-income population, and they did an EXCELLENT job. My wife, doubled over in pain, received prompt attention, a CT scan, an accurate diagnosis for what turned out to be a kidney stone, and the correct prescription. Major KUDOS to the ER team and docs at this facility - you all have hugely difficult jobs and you provided OUTSTANDING care. THANK YOU.

Having been told ahead of time that I may go in and out of the ER and waiting room, I knew what to expect. It is a small place but they have figured out how to make it work. The staff was caring and professional. The doctor assigned to me was thorough and helpful. They even had me stay around a little longer to see if there were complications with the medication I was given. I came in in pain and left able to understand what had happened and which type of a doctor to see next for complete healing. At one point the doctor came to the waiting room to explain things to me. As he was walking back in the ER he spoke Spanish to a young mother to make sure her babies needs were being taken care of. Great hospital emergency set up! Different but good!

An amazing group of people doing excellent work in difficult conditions. It was a busy evening but they dealt with me, and everyone else with real care and attention.
The place is small, but they managed to deal with a large number of patients.
I am grateful for their dedication, and someone needs to invest in this space, and these people.

The ER staff was wonderful. My mother has advanced ALS and received a JeJunal feeding tube at another hospital only 2 months ago. It became clogged and unusable as it perforated trying to unclog it. The doctors and nurses went out of their way to help us since the original hospital that put it in refused to help us. They were compassionate and attentive from the beginning till the end and never gave up until the problem was solved. The girls and Doctor at the Interventional Radiology did much more than expected going beyond the call of duty to get this done. They are God sent. I give my rating with a confident 5 stars and wish I could do more to Thank them.

I want to thank the amazing nursing staff within the ICU unit at JFK. Especially our RN Tammy from the day shift and nurse Tara from the evening shift. These two ladies were absolute angels and took care of my precious father in his time of need. Although his passing today was difficult these two angels showed love and caring like none other which made this time more peaceful and easier knowing he was in such great care.

Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts. You two were very special and blessed. Sincerely from the entire Rabuse family.

I received excellent care. I was brought by emergency services. I had an heart attack. They had me in surgery within an hour with 2 stents. Inserted by Dr Vermu. Everyone was totally professional. Haley in emergency telling she would pray for me. Amanda in icu was so kind and helped me whenever I need anything. We were in Indio at the Rv resort. Our home is in Oregon. I cannot say enough good about the care I received thank you. I know many people helped and I thank all. Karen Webster

I rarely write reviews, but I felt it necessary to share my story. Last night I went into the emergency room at JFK hospital four a a much needed blood transfusion. I had the best experience I have ever had in a hospital setting. From the moment I walked in I was treated with kindness and respect. My ER physician Dr. Davis explained my treatment in detail and answered all my questions. Nurse Marcy was the absolute best nurse I have ever had and I have had my fair share of hospital stays and visits. I want to thank everyone at the JFK Memorial Hospital Emergency Room, from admitting to the custodial staff and every team member in between.

I was in the hospital for 3 days in October 2021 with pancreatitis. The nurses are top rated in my opinion. They took such good care of me and made sure I had everything I needed to make me comfortable. I love JFK Memorial Hospital. It's one of the best hospitals I have ever been in. Thank you JFK and staff!

I am a Paramedic. As a result I have the opportunity to take patient’s to multiple hospitals regularly. I felt compelled to write a 5 star review today because JFK’s emergency department staff really impressed me today. The first thing my patient was greeted with today as we entered the emergency department was a smile from a RN. We also received a bed assignment immediately. Two nurses followed us into the room and were professional in engaging the patient immediately as well. Before I knew it the doctor was in the room once again engaging the patient with a smile, very apparent kindness, and professionalism. The patient was thoroughly examined and a full explanation was provided to the patient about his current situation as well as what he can expect moving forward. Within 5 minutes of arrival the x-ray tech was moving his machine in position into the patient’s room. The entire experience was fast, efficient, performed at the human level and again impressive. Thank you for your professionalism and efforts!
Sara smiled. Angela and Chris both smiled and followed us into the room. Dr. Davis as always was warm, kind, and professional. Thank you!

***I strongly suggest anyone who has had a bad experience at JFK prior to this year to give them another chance. There have been a ton of changes made, and the service is so much better than it used to be!***

The ER previously has been slow, and the wait took a long time. Now that they have made major changes to the directors and administration, the ER is greatly improving. There of course is still some what of a wait, but that is to be expected when there are only 12 beds in the ER and at times up to 30 people in the waiting room. They take you in based on severity of presenting problem, so if you come in because you have a cold, of course you will be waiting longer than people who come in for serious issues. They are working on expanding the ER, improving the throughput, and have made great improvements on the cleanliness and the kindness of the staff. I have taken my daughter to the ER twice recently, and been twice this year myself. All four times we had great services, and only had to wait for a couple hours one time when it was really busy.

Aside from the issues with the ER, the hospital is actually a great hospital, with great staff. I had my daughter here, and also spent 4 days with her in Pediatrics. I don't have a single complaint about either of those stays. Our nurses were fabulous. Very kind and answered any questions we had. I would definitely prefer coming here than "Eisendollar" who only cares about people who have good insurance!

And the nurses that took care of my son were amazing this ladies are Angel's they helped him and took care of him as if he was there own and as for the doctors great caring and explaining everything before my son went into the OR and if I can honor an amazing nurse that would be Tina cause she went above and beyond for the care of my son this women is amazing thank you JFK hospital for the kind of staff you have they are heroes for sure!!!!

I recently had an issue that caused me to have to visit the nearest ER. Honestly, I had only heard bad things about this ER and hospital from my wife and friends. My wife was mortified when I told her I was going here.

I have to say, my experience was totally opposite of what I expected, based on the above input. I didn't even get out of my registration chair before they came out to get me, rushed me back, put monitors on me and began testing.

After about an hour of intensive testing, the doctor informed me that he wanted to admit me overnight for observation. Again, I had my reservations, but didn't want to make a mistake that could cost me my life.

I agreed and again, what a surprise! They treated me like a king the entire time. (and I don't make the best patient! LOL) I was treated professionally, with kindness, humor and dedication by every team member that I came in contact with.

I've been to plenty of hospitals that are considered "the best". I didn't have any life saving surgeries or anything like that, but I can't imagine it being any better.

Thank you JFK for your AMAZING service!

I am editing a previous bad review on the Hospital because they have reached out to me to find out what had happened that made me leave a previous bad review a day before, and because my father is now receiving outstanding medical care from all the doctors and nurses involved with his care. Thank you JFK Memorial Hospital for showing a superior level of care for patients and family members alike!
Update: my father came home after being in the Hospital for 7 days, he is 83 years old and was a very complicated medical case, however, Doctors and nurses at JFK Hospital showed five star care and service for my father and they did a magnificent job on making him feel better. Thank you all for the outstanding care you provide for my father!!

I had an incredible GREAT Experience at JFK during the delivery of my daughter!

From the get-go I was skeptical about what my experience would be like, since I had heard so many bad stories about the hospital from other people!

However, I was happily surprised from the moment I got there! Staff was so attentive and nice! During my labor I had two wonderful nurses [Angela & Ana] that explained every single thing that was being done and answered all the questions I had!! They were so sweet, made me feel so comfortable and at ease. I knew I was in good hands, even though they were extremely busy!

My Labor Nurse, Analissa was the BEST!!!! She had the most smoothing, calming, reassuring voice and just the right words during my whole labor! Such a great Coach by my side!! Can't thank her enough!!

My postpartum nurses; Jeanie and Pet were also excellent care givers!! The Secretary Nurse; Yvette was extremely sweet and attentive to any calls I made requesting my nurse.

I also have to mention a wonderful staff member of the hospital, Veronica Villa! She is one of the food servers there and I have to say she was extremely nice and delivered such an amazing service.

I have to give compliments to the Chef, Jose [ I believe is his name] the food was delicious! Yes, hospital food that was actually good!! I would say much better than just "good".

Like I said before, I had an amazing experience there. The staff was phenomenal, they deserve a special treat or something for all of their hard work!! Each person I mention definitely takes pride in their occupation, and left a great impression on me!
