Golden Chain Motel

This was our go-to spot for many years during Nevada county fair. Location is very beautiful if you enjoy outdoors. Their patio next to the pool is awesome spot to hang out.

Rooms are a lil outdated & we did have one year with bed bugs(problem was fixed right away) but staff is awesome & every morning feels great waking up and having a cup of coffee with the manager/owner👍

The price was right for last-minute. The office even called 3 hours before closing to let us know they would leave the key somewhere and we would settle up in the morning. Just wow the office Lady was awesome and no one bothered us. The room was very very clean as was the property. I love it and will be staying again.

The room was large and had all the conveniences you’d need like a microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker. My 5 stars is mostly for the staff who really helped us out. They went above and beyond to check in on my dad when we had a snow storm that knocked out power and closed the roads. They gave him food and looked out for him. The caretaker drove through 2 feet of snow to take him back to our car when the roads finally opened up. I truly appreciated their help!

Nice clean and comfortable rooms. What really made my stay great was the awesome service, the office staff were freindly ...yes and they go above and beyond what is normally expected service in a motel. I really felt it was my home away from home. Sure its not the Hilton, but i really had a nice stay, if i needed anything i didnt have to wait or ask twice they would take care of you right away.
I have to add that the housekeeping staff was awesome.

Lee at the front desk was great, very helpful. Good property with plenty of space outside to walk around, outdoor pool (currently closed due to covid). I would stay here again.

The owner that is there is the absolute best he is truly a blessing and great person treats people having a hard time with care and his staff are great people too

Well, it's just a nice place. Quiet and peaceful. Clean and the staff are very nice and welcoming people. Comfortable rooms. I will recommend Golden Chain based on my experience.

This motel is a cool find . Surrounded by woods the motel is clean and run by a very nice staff. We will be staying again!!!

To be totally honest the place is great all that work there are great I just got upset about the pool being closed!!!!
