Yonder Coffee

It's not the most fancy or most eclectic or most decadent of coffee shops or wine bars or beer studies, but it's the fact that it has all of the above - in addition to healthy, tasty sandwiches and treats - that makes it so great. And I may be a sucker for good pricing, but an awesome turkey melt with a ton of different flavors (love the jalapeno) that comes with a side salad for $12 is an absolute slam dunk, plus you can sidecar it with a cappuccino or a local beer (lots on tao) or a good glass of wine. Yes yes yes. And I liked that I had a good amount of space in it to sit and work or hang out with others.

Yonder Coffee is seriously amazing! For the longest time, I wasn’t a big fan of hot coffee (more of an iced or espresso gal) but the flights & other tasting events here showed me how delicious and flavorful coffee can be 😍 Not only do they have a great every-day selection, the real treat is the monthly rotation of roasters from around the world! I love stopping by to pick beans for my home setup & highly recommend checking out their online subscription if you’re from out of town. Aside from the drinks, they also have a fun pastry selection including Tepuy donuts on Sunday (get them early!). The staff is wonderful plus there’s plenty of comfy seating if you want to get some work/studying done. Def one of my favorite spots in downtown! so happy they’re offering espresso drinks all day now~
Pro tip: If you’re sometimes in a rush like me, you can place a to-go order online ahead of time 😉

Decent coffee and ambience. They have a great collection of local and sourced coffee beans. If you like variety drip coffee, this is a place for you.

My wife and I visited Yonder Coffee for the first time a few weeks ago and my experience was fantastic. The atmosphere is very nice and the staff was very friendly. I had the coffee flight and my wife had an iced lavender latte with oat milk. All the drinks were great! If you enjoy the different flavor profiles of coffee without anything added then I would definitely encourage you to try the flight. All three of the coffees were very nice and enjoyable to drink while giving you the opportunity to really taste their distinct differences. Thank you Yonder Coffee staff for a great experience and I can't wait to come back for another visit!

I wanted to try a new place in the city so I jumped on google and found Yonder. It was perfect because I literally was 3 minutes away and so I jumped out the car and walked over. I was actually surprised I never heard of it before until I got inside and the barista said they’d only been open for 5 months. What a refreshing surprise to find a cute little coffee shop that also sells Spirits and had space to sit down. They had a variety of Beers, & Wines that ranged from super cheap to pricey. And for the folks who aren’t into the libations, they had a fridge full of nonalcoholic drinks as well. I was thrilled to see the cute little corner in the back to sit quietly, journal and enjoy your cup of coffee. I decided to get the Rosebud Cappuccino with 2 extra shots of espresso. They had homemade pop tarts but they weren’t vegan so I just got the coffee. The sweetie behind the counter made my drink and brought it to me with a smile 😊 I spent about an hour in the shop enjoying my coffee and the music. This is a must visit and I hope they stick around because I plan to be a regular.

I don't even drink drip coffee at home but I get it here almost every time I come, the selection is always too good! Bright & juicy Ethiopia blend is a long time fave. (The matcha is my comfort drink. Don't sleep on the toasted marshmallow iced coffee!!)

Yonder is my go to spot in Durham for a great coffee. The intentionally they put into both their coffee and tea program is unmatched. The hospitality and vibes are on point. 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking for a great coffee in Durham!

The MVP "third place" in the Triangle. Between John, Rosa and Caleb - you'll be hard pressed to find a more friendly, hospitable group of owners. It's very easy to see how much they care about their employees and customers alike. Spinning vinyl adds to the cozy, comfy vibes I get every time I visit. Don't sleep on the Espresso Tonic - they make the best I've ever had.

Really fantastic selection of coffee. High quality roasters that are hard to find. They also have an impressive craft beer selection.

Best coffee in Durham hands down! They have something for everyone. I love that I can try new specialty coffees from all over. Everyone who works there is so welcoming and makes you feel right at home.

I found myself at Yonder after a super disappointing experience a spot up the street. The staff at Yonder were so nice and friendly. They gave me great advice on how to navigate the somewhat complicated parking rules downtown and made my London Fog perfectly. It's now on my favorites list for when I come back for family events.

If you want a place that’s always spinning good vinyl, has knowledgeable baristas, serves interesting coffee and tea-based drinks, has a wide selection of non-alc beverages, and has a really lovely staff, then this is the place for you.

A very very welcome addition to Durham.

Cute spot with interesting and delicious light blends. The staff was incredibly nice. Great atmosphere and lunch menu, and is a good spot to post up if you needed to work.

Yonder and team are the best! They make the best coffee and coffee drinks in Durham, hands down. The craft and care put into the process from start to finish is really above and beyond any of the other local coffee spots.

Love love love this place! It’s in my regular rotation and I’m always greeted warmly and enjoy the tastiest drinks and pastries. The staff so patient, kind, and amazing at creating delicious drinks. Would give this 20 stars if I could!

The staff and owners have created one of the most warm and welcoming shops downtown. Every coffee, tea and snack yonder has introduced me to has been top shelf.
