Nice little restaurant, good food with reasonable prices. Salads were delicious. Not a ton of inside seating but they have a large patio. Looks like they do a lot of carry out. There’s no tap water though, have to pay for bottled.

Reasonably priced and food came out fast. Unfortunately, the cashier neglected us twice before we placed our order, so hence the slightly lower rating.

I liked my tuna salad sandwich and the couscous was surprisingly good. Complemented the sandwich well!

I got one of their plates (the Slammer) and it was decent.

Food was so good and at a great price! We got hot chocolates, the west end grain bowl, chicken bacon biscuit, and house made chips. So well made and will definitely come back.

Absolutely a great restaurant to discover. Cute and unique, plenty of outside seating, and even rooftop dining area. Parking is a bit of hassle, especially during busy hours. Friendly and upbeat staffs. Not too crazy about the order set up; you place your order up front as soon as you enter, before you sit down. This may not seem like a big deal, but they get really packed on the weekends and you could be standing in a long line outside the restaurant instead of getting seated right away. But if you don't mind the wait, the food are definitely worth it.
I ordered the Slammer (2 eggs with bacon or sausage patties, taters, grits or fruits and a flapjack). Everything comes out hot and fresh. The patties were of high quality meat, juicy and flavorful. The cheese grits are delicious. And the pancake was fluffy and perfectly cooked.
Great first time experience, will definitely return when back in the area.

What a fun place! Huge, rooftop deck and fun ambiance. An obvious favorite spot for Duke folks, this place is a must visit. First, you stand in line and yes, there will be a line to order your food! Once you get your chance, you are greeted with that Durham charm sprinkled with a bit of sarcasm and wit... Love it! We sat and the food was brought to us quickly. I had the Mama's Big Bird with Greek Couscous. Two pounded out chicken filets, breaded and fried. House made pickles and bacon. Just lovely. Couscous was good as well, next time will opt for the slaw. My wife had the Gobble Down with potatoes. Exactly what she was looking for, delicious! Of course we had a bottle of wine, because why not!?

Excellent stop for sure. Worth noting, they are known for their burgers and as I saw them go by, I could see why... Next time!

My go to breakfast spot since moving to Durham in 2019! Wendy her staff are so welcoming. Grub has a great laid-back atmosphere and amazing food.
Pauli's pimento has been a recent favorite.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first time here. We came for brunch on the weekend and sampled their libations as well as a biscuit and breakfast platter. Love the local partnerships for coffee and atmosphere. It’s great to see Durham growing and diversifying over the years. Even with a line outside we ordered and food came quickly. Highly recommend!

Great restaurant! I have eaten in and also gotten large catering orders for pick up and the experience is always great. They are very nice. The restaurant can get busy but lots of people do take out so it's not too hard to find an open table. For dine in and take out you order at the front and then if you are dining in they bring your food to you.

UPDATE: We went back and it's' just as amazing as ever. I tried the Cubano Burger with a side of cheese grits... nice!

We were a big group and they had no isses with us at all, food came out hot, quick and so so very good. Everyone at our table comments about the flavors and how well everything went together. This place definitly helps to define the 100% positive vibe going on in this downtown Durham neighborhood. They have a huge "Brown Turkey" fig bush out front and this time of year they are extra bonus treat for us fig lovers. The staff and patrons are all very cool people. 13/10 for sure... give them a try! FYI, the "Moma's Big Bird" just make my list of top 5 sandwiches ever.

I loved the smoothie “greena colada” I will be back to try them all. I ordered a “cowgirl bowl” tbh I didn’t like it but that's because I had no idea what stoneground cheddar grits was, but not bad. I like the service even there was a lot of people I got my breakfast fast, I loved sitting at the bar.

We are from out of state and decided to get dinner here on a whim and boy, am I glad we did. The staff was genuinely friendly (not that fake friendly you often get), the service was fast, and the food was just top-notch. I got Maybelle’s Brisket and it was the by far best I’ve ever had. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that they’re LGBTQ+ friendly and have non-gendered bathrooms (that’s not something I would have expected to see in North Carolina). Next time we are that way, we are definitely going back!

Nice spot for a solo lunch in a relaxed atmosphere. Order at the register, receive a table number, and seat yourself. My sandwich and side of fruit was delivered within minutes of sitting down. Table, booth, and bar seating indoors. Generous amount of outdoor seating as well.
Small parking lot was ample for the time of day that I was there - late lunch on a Monday - approximately 10 spaces including a handicapped space. Adjacent on-street parking is also available.

Love the atmosphere of this place and especially the variety of seating available. My husband and I always opt to sit at the bar, but the rooftop has intrigued us. I find all the dishes to be comforting and SO VERY reasonably priced. My favorite part is how their iced coffee has ice cubes made of coffee (it’s like coffee inspection) mind blown! I love eating here and can’t wait to share this hidden gem when friends and family come to town!

Popular spot but it's clear why. Food is always delicious and staff is very friendly. Parking can get tight during busy times but it's worth it. Indoor and outdoor seating and the roof top patio is great spot to enjoy on a nice day

We visited GRUB Durham for the first time today. We will return soon. Great meal choices and libations. The service was incredible. Learned these ladies worked with each other for many years and their service proves it. Great atmosphere, service, music and food. I asked my significant why haven't we been here before. Great eatery.

Love it! The vibe is great, the service is bomb and the food is even better. Went for lunch and got the Jeweled Bird and Sweet Potatoe Fries. It was simple and delicious, hands down the best sweet potato fries I’ve had. 10/10🤍

So tasty! We stumbled upon this place today looking for a late lunch in downtown Durham and it did not disappoint. I absolutely love that they serve breakfast until 3 PM, have a full bar, and I will not be missing dessert at next visit. Great counter service, and friendly staff. Wi-Fi was great for a working meeting too!

Hubs had the Cowgirl Bowl - good mix of flavors including the brisket and grits. The results of the Tabasco vs Texas Pete taste test? Texas Pete for the win. The traditional Rocket Man with eggs over easy, turkey sausage, taters and buttery biscuit was delicious. Highly recommend the Blue Devil smoothie. Great place for brunch, even if on a tight budget. 🍳🍽🥤

Food and drinks were very good. It's pretty chill, in a good location, has outdoor upstairs seating. You order and then seat yourself. Usually a line. Fresh made cakes. Parking can be a little scarce.

What a fun place! First time there and the wonderful Woman behind the counter got us seated at the bar and walked us through their menu. I had the Cubana Burger with Sweet Potatoe Fries. My better half had the Maybels Brisket on Marbled Rye with homemade bread and butter pickles. It was delicious and paired nicely with my Fullsteam "Road To NoWhere" beer. Looks like you can also order o line for pickup. We had a fun time there. We just had visited Cedar Creek Gallery ( about 15 minutes away).
