Literally the BEST car buying experience I’ve had. I had no intention of driving an hour away from home when there are so many other Toyota dealerships between my home and Placerville, but the experience and communication between myself and Genaro, my salesman, was excellent. Genaro was kind, incredibly professional, honest, and fully transparent in every interactions. I also appreciate the help I received from Jim the finance manager and the general manager too! The dealership is warm and inviting and there were, thankfully, no hovering sales people waiting to pounce on the next person to roll onto the lot looking for a new car. I will be recommending Thompsons Toyota to as many people as I can. Such a great experience.

Fantastic experience all around. I highly recommend Madison from the sales department. Working with her was like car shopping with your best friend. She’s patient, friendly and very knowledgeable. She’s low pressure while keeping in mind your needs and best interest. I’m very pleased with the end result. I think she listened well to what our families needs are and put us in the right vehicle with our specific time constraint. I couldn’t recommend her enough.

excellent salesmen and experience for a first time buyer. explained every feature and detail of the truck amazingly. made the test drive fun and interesting , explained how to use many of the drive modes. overall made me and my family feel comfortable and confident with our purchase. would highly recommend doing business with mr.bill!

BUT... Men... if you're going to take your car in... clean it out first! My car was full of junk in the back seat, and it was hugely embarrassing to get my car back and have the keys handed over by a young lady who was essentially a super-model. If you don't want the pretty woman to think you live in your car down by the river... clean it out first and save yourself the "Doh!".
And if you're single... shave and wear a nice shirt. ;)

Mr. Bill was great! From the moment he picked up our phone call to delivering us our dream car! He was courteous, professional, and hardworking! Even though our new car purchase went past store hours. He made sure we still felt welcome! Thompsons are lucky to have Mr. Bill as an employee!

Everything went great, the level of customer service was exceptional. From the first contract by Briston about my interest in the new Grand Highlander to finalizing the paperwork and driving away. Very low key, no pressure atomishere at Thompsons Toyota not like other places. They did deliver on my requested vehicle and kept me informed on the build process and answered all my questions. I am glad I followed up and went there because I truly received the vehicle I wanted.

I got my 2024 toyota camry xse awd from this place and Bob was my sales person. I have been to alot of dealerships over the years but the way this place takes care of the customer is A+. They don't hassle you if you say you're just looking every 2 min,they let you look. Bob is a good guy and he is a real down to earth person. I needed some touch up paint for a rock chip I received on the freeway and he paid for it himself to help me out. Usually I only leave reviews if the service was really bad or really good and this was one of those really good ones. Ask for Bob if you need a car you won't be disappointed.

Thompsons has always been so fair! Love this small town dealership. Just bought a 2024 GR86 from them and they made the whole purchase so seamless, no pressure. Anthony Palombi was my salesman and he waited around a year for me to make a purchase! Big shoutout to that patient man. My only complaint is that they installed my front license plate for me. And that’s not their fault, that’s California. Ha! Thank you guys again for everything.

Miguel was our salesman and he was friendly, helpful, and super positive. He stayed late to make sure everything was set up and that we were ready to get on the road. Any question we had he either knew the answer to or got the answer for us. We drove 3.5 hours to shop here and would totally make the drive again. Thompsons Toyota has new customers for life!

Miguel and Adam are absolutely amazing and our experience with Thompson’s is always great! We bought 5 cars from them. The service department is pretty amazing too. Hunter always makes me feel right at home. I love that it is family owned. Miguel was great at answering all our questions and making us feel comfortable and confident in our purchase! He was never pushy and it felt more like a good friend helping us. Miguel always had a smile on his face and was always willing to go the extra mile for us.

We had a great experience that started with “Mr Bill” and ended with Joel. They were both great and did not push us to purchase something we didn’t want, unlike the other three Toyota dealers we visited. They listened to what we wanted and made sure to show us options, without pressuring us into something we didn’t want/need..This is 100% the reason we went with Thompson’s Toyota and why we’ll be back to get another vehicle in the future! Joel helped walk us through the purchasing process quickly and smoothly and was very down to earth. We can’t wait to come back!

I went into the car buying process knowing exactly what car I wanted, down to the color and trim. I had been in contact with several other dealerships near me and was unpleasantly surprised to repeatedly hear that they didn’t have any in stock and didn’t know if they would be able to get the car I was looking for. Their attitude was “well, we get what we get, so you’ll just have to wait and see if the car you want comes in.” I was told that that’s the case everywhere in this post-Covid car buying market. But then I reached out to Thompsons Toyota and was helped by Joel. In contrast to the guys at other dealerships, his attitude was “we will get you this car.” Ultimately he was able to find me a car that met my exact criteria and they had it trailered from another dealership, all within a couple of days.

I cannot say enough good things about Thompson’s Toyota - specifically Mr. Somberg, my sales representative. My entire purchasing experience was an absolute delight! From just shopping around to getting my new keys - Mr. Somberg answered all my questions in detail and went above and beyond to make sure I found THE MOST PERFECT CAR (he even sent personalized videos of cars he thought I’d like)! Once I found the one, Mr. Somberg went through the entire car with me and taught me about all its great features - he even helped me pair my phone and dial in all the settings! Before I drove away (as if the stellar service and support wasn’t enough) he even made sure I had a full gas tank! Holy smokes! Honestly, I’ll forever be recommending Thompson’s Toyota to EVERYONE I know! They’re down to earth people and handled my car buying experience in a completely above board manner.
