Alden Bakery & Cafe

I’ve been near several times now that my work takes me near here, I really enjoy getting breakfast or lunch here. Prices are really good for food that is made in-house or locally sourced (like their coffee), their sandwiches are large and delicious, and their homestyle pastries are HUGE. Overall, definitely a place you want to stop in and visit.

I recently stopped by Alden Cafe and had an amazing experience! The iced coffee was delicious and refreshing, and the baked goods were out of this world. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a great cup of coffee and a tasty treat. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Their house mayo is to die for, and makes every breakfast sandwich an experience. Super friendly staff, comfortable seating if you want to sit and chat, and you can easily call to order and pick up if you're in a rush. We're quickly becoming regulars here and we bring any guests that we have in town here as well, since they're so consistently good!

Went for lunch while visiting and had a breakfast sandwich, sausage, Egg, and Cheese, on an everything bagel. Great local place for breakfast or lunch and some great bakery items. Highly recommend this location.

Wow. Just wow
This is the kind of bakery - coffee shop - ice cream parlor - outside patio- that you would find on the streets of Manhattan or Brooklyn. You certainly don’t expect it in a little town of Alden. But wow was I blown away by the experience.

Let’s start with walking up to the place. The front looks like a beautiful little coffee shop and then there’s like a sub patio that may be closed up for the winter which would provide for some feeling of outdoor seating even when the weather is bad, with beautiful little paintings sayings and nice little half tables.

Then you go in and you see the owners touches from her hand writing on the menus written up on the chalkboards to the way the food is lit and displayed. You can tell it’s family because each of the kids I think we’re behind the counter in the mom working hard greeting customers and taking care of guests.

So let’s get to the most important part, the coffee and the baked goods. They had cookies behind the counter that must’ve been 7 inches in diameter. Pastries and other delights. Then I looked up and saw a $10,000 coffee maker and ask for an espresso. Which up until now, there was only one other place within 10 miles that you get at this level.
And most people don’t even know how to use the machine. But instead I got a delicious cup again at the level of quality that you would expect from downtown Chicago or even downtown Venice.

My 16-year-old who came with me to the store said he wanted to try a breakfast sandwich, but it was afternoon - but again they still accommodated use, making the "Broadway" which turns out to be delicious homemade eggs fresh bacon real cheese on your choice of a roll or bagel we tried an everything bagel. And it was fresh and delicious.

I could go rambling on but I’m gonna stop here so that you can try it yourself and enjoy the experience. To say the least I highly recommend this wonderful new bakery in Alden

1st time to eat here. Friendly hostess. Food was awesome. Buffalo 716 sandwich. Can't go wrong.

Great fun menu love the special drinks

This was my first visit. It definitely will not be the last. Food and service was great. Atmosphere was that of what i think of as a small hometown country feel. Awesome!!

This is by far one of the best, or even the best cafe I’ve ever been to! The service was great and the food was amazing. I got the road crew sandwich and it was absolutely delicious! The coffee was great too. I wish this cafe was in my hometown.. I’d be there everyday if it was!

Love to look at all the crafted items for sale and was pleased to see the Halloween themed drinks.

This bakery is excellent! I love coming here occasionally to get lunch or coffee. The staff is always super friendly and the food tastes great!

What a very nice quaint place. Smells wonderful from all the luscious cookies, baked goods, coffee, scones...had a great sandwich too!! They have breakfast sandwiches etc. Great menu! I'd go again very soon!! Pretty young ladies and very nice attitudes!

What a hidden gem! Delicious food for breakfast or lunch... Egg and cheese on the everything bagel is excellent. Staff are always friendly and helpful, and great music choices too. Great spot to bring your laptop and enjoy a cup of coffee. Highly recommend!

A beautiful café and bakery in downtown Alden. The staff are very accommodating and the food is delicious. I went for lunch and had a delicious sandwich (Buffalo 716) and snicker doodle cookie.

Cute cafe/bakery with a mixture of options including seasonal drinks. They have a small section to eat in along with a little area of local goods like candles and honey.
