Great! In and out! Jan and the girls made us feel like we were important and that they were happy to help us. A really good experience!

The only DMV I will ever go to. Everyone actually knows what they’re doing. Fantastic.

This DMV is great! They’ve answered the phone each time I’ve called, were very informative as I’ve just recently moved to the area, and the line was quick.

Very impressive in and out quickly, we had a trainee, she was awesome at her job. We had 3 applications two she had done before one was her first time and she handled all very promptly and professionally. We had to wear masks to get in but could remove them once in the DMV office itself.

I can't believe how helpful the ladies behind the counter are. One does not expect this at a DMV! But on New Year's Eve I was pressed to get an out-of-state plate passed in NY by Jan. & encountered difficulties, so she stayed 12 minutes beyond closing time to help me assemble my papers & find the missing one; really extraordinary. She went the extra mile above & beyond so thank you! Go here!

Amazing experience....friendly, happy in their job, efficient. Such an amazing difference from the Saranac lake site I have used in past. Actually would not dread going there again! Keep up the good work.

Can't believe I'm going to say this... I had a very pleasant experience at the Essex County DMV. I showed up a little early for my appointment and got right in with no waiting. I had already filled out all my paperwork so that helped. The workers were very helpful and answered all my questions. I wasn't rushed out or given a hard time at all. I am very pleased with the whole experience! Definitely worth the drive.

Had great experience at DMV...only one week after fully opening for business.. no crowd.. couldnt accomplish what we went for ( get my daughter's permit... only because we didnt have required paperwork) but the employees so nice ( DMV gets bad rap but obviously the complainers have never been to Essex Co NY DMV.. at Eluzabethtown NY.. never had an issue ( Kari Ratliff is supervisor I believe) ... but they let my daughter take actual written exam ( one less worry) and we will go back with remainder of documentation, fees and to have vision test...

The lady that waited on me was extremely nice and very friendly. She was very quick and efficient at processing my transaction. Was very pleased with my service today at the Essex County DMV.. 🙂

Been here several times in the last few years, since 2014. Never a line, and the staff has always been great. We're lucky to have a DMV like this.

Elizabethtown dmv is great, why cant the other dmvs be like this one, it feels like they are trying to help you instead of slamming the door in your face.
