I have been going to Lakeland Baptist Church for about 4 years. One of the many reasons I love it is that the pastor does expositional teaching, meaning he goes straight through the bible, not failing to teach one chapter, verse, or word from the word of God. Every word is important and must be taught, as Paul the apostle said,"I had not failed to teach the whole counsel of God." Also it isn't that big of a church, so it's like a family. People are friendly and giving. I thank the Lord that the led me here.

During the 5-6 years that I lived in Carbondale I got to be part of the family at Lakeland Church. The pastor has a high view of Scripture and of God's glory, and has been preaching steadily through beginning at Genesis 1. By the time I left Carbondale we had paused in 2 Kings to spend some time in the New Testament and in the books written by Solomon. It has been a joy to see the changes in people who feast on God's Word so regularly.
