Gondola Italian Restaurant

We have been here 3 times while traveling through the area and visiting Mt Airy. The first time I had an abscessed tooth that hurt so much that I couldn’t really eat…which was terrible because the lasagna was fantastic!
So we came back a few years later and had some redemption. It was still great, this time with a healthy set of teeth 😉
Today we enjoyed stuffed shells and pizza and I have no complaints. Great restaurant and tasty food!

Their food is fantastic. Lasagna is my favorite. Everything I have tried has been very good. I would eat there every week if I could afford it. Generous servings. Don't forget to have dessert , made in house. The chef comes to your table and checks to see if everything is good. He takes great pride, and it shows. Thank you.

Excellent service, amazing food and relaxed environment. My husband and I were traveling to Wilmington, NC and decided to stop in at Gondola Italian Restaurant. The hostess was very friendly, polite, and welcoming. Erika, our waitress, was very attentive, knowledgeable about the food options and had a very pleasant personality. The food exceeded our expectations. The bread was fresh and paired well with the seasoned dipping oil. My husband loves Italian food. He ordered the Chicken Parmesan (served with a side salad and a large side of spaghetti).He enjoyed the house dressing. He absolutely loved it. I ordered the Caribbean Salad With Chicken. All ingredients in the salad were very healthy and fresh. The Caribbean Salad With Chicken was so fresh and well put together that I did not even use the dressing. The marinated grilled chicken was excellent. The portions are over generous so be prepared and ask for a box. My husband also ordered the homemade cheesecake and it was delicious. See the attached photos of our entrees. The restaurant was very clean and the prices are beyond reasonable. Overall, our experience was five stars and exceeded both of our expectations. We will keep this hidden gem in mind while traveling in the future.

We had an absolutely wonderful dinner! Our food was beautiful and delicious! We had the chicken parmigiana and lemon chicken pasta. The service we got from Julie was phenomenal! We ordered two pieces of the chocolate spoon fudge cake and it was amazing! I got the mushroom soup instead of a salad and it totally filled me up so they plated my food to go. Super pleasant experience all around. The owner came to talk to us and he is really humble and nice. I highly recommend! We will definitely be back! I can’t wait to eat here again!

If you are in the Mood for Some Good Food/Italian Restaurant 🥣 than this it, They have a Diverse Menu 🗒 & The Staff are Friendly, Love sitting back on the Built in Patio/Side part of the Restaurant that sticks out it adds to the overall Decor of the Resturant.

Great food and plenty of it. The waitress was awesome and very knowledgeable about each dish. Dessert was incredible and they have a great selection. Will definitely be back.

Great quality, delicious ingredients! Staff is friendly. Portions are generous.

First time visit and it was wonderful. I ordered the Rosa Maria Chicken. Very impressed with the generous portion. Also, our waitress was grand. So refreshing to have service with a smile.

Hands down the best place to get Italian food in Mt. Airy.

They give you so much food that it can serve leftovers for days, and their bread and oil is worth the trip alone.

Great little restaurant in Mt Airy. Most Italian restaurants have the basics. Gondola’s menu is solid. Wasn’t interested in a heavy pasta dish so I had the chicken and broccoli. So good!

Wow. Great ambiance, very comfortable. Great music, at just the right volume. And wow again, awesome Grilled Chicken Caesar salad. The grilled chicken was the best I've had in a restaurant in a long time. Fresh, crisp lettuce and delicious dressing. My waitress was efficient and friendly. My new favorite lunch place!

Service is amazing there. The owner Yacer is always greeting the customers & helping his staff to make sure the customers experience is spot on, which is always is! Plus, the food is phenomenal:)

Had a great meal at Gondolas tonight. I had the Meat Calzone and a small Greek salad 🥗 it was all very delicious. The service was excellent also. If you want Italian cuisine in Mount Airy stop in and give it a try.👍

Great food. They have the best desserts. Good family atmosphere and a good price

The best food ever. Delicious homemade bread with an accompaniment of olive oil and a unique blend of herbs. The pizza crust if perfectly light and crispy yet able to support the ample toppings. Super large piece of lasagne with a copious amount of slow cooked sauce. You won’t regret your trip in to this restaurant!

The food was very good, there's a nice variety and large portions. The service was great. They were very attentive.
