O'Dell's Sandwich Shop

This place stays busy after all these years for a reason. Good food and quick service. Just wish they'd invest in some new speakers to order through. It's a pain.

Love this nostalgic drive-up sandwich shop. My family has been coming here for years. My mom used to work here back in the 50s so it has been around forever. GROUND STEAK SANDWICHES ARE THEIR SPECIALTY, but everything is great. My favorite place to eat in Mount Airy.

If you enjoy the nostalgia of the days with car hops and drive inn restaurants then you should visit O'Dells Sandwich Shop. Great food with great prices. They even have the drive up menus with original speaker boxes. Staff was very friendly and the food was great.

I have lived in the area for 9 years, had burgers from so many different restaurants, and hands down. O'Dell's killed it!! Best Burger, any were in Surry or Stokes counties!!! I will totally be back 😁😁❤

Amazing as always!! We drive an hour just to come here when we can.. thats how good it is! Service was a bit slower this time (about 20 min wait) but that seems to be everywhere now a days.. still worth it regardless! We get the Odell burger.

I drive 45 miles for their large chef salad. Best in the state I believe. It's great to have an old curbside service still in business.

This is an AMAZING place!! The food is incredible, the service is fantastic ! We were only in the area for one day, and found this restaurant. What a jewel!

So, I am from Mayberry and believe me when I say that l have learned more about Mt Airy since relocating. This place is ICONIC! "O'Dells".. spend some money and bring back that drive in feel! PEOPLE LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! Just a quick meal here last night, hot dogs, fries and strawberry shake. Every morsel was devoured. BUT... slow down a bit, perfection is there! Love to invest here, NO DOUBT!!

Love the food! And love the people, their always friendly no matter who comes out. Forget minor things like ranch or ketchup, but they dont mind bringing it out. Good prices for good food.

Food is great and the prices are surprisingly cheap. I’ve never been to a drive up restaurant like this so it’s also just a fun change of pace.

Absolutely love O’Dell’s!! Throughout the last 39 years I’ve eaten here the food & service is amazingly consistent, not too mention the nostalgic ambiance is truly comforting. I make sure that I stop by every time I’m back “home” to visit, as I live in coastal NC. I highly recommend everyone give O’Dell’s a try. You will be pleased!!

Nostalgic, yes. Best drive-in food ever. They toast hot dog buns - crinkle cut fries - Big Moe is a classic! Cash only!

Always good food at a great price

My burger and onion rings were fresh and delicious. Came out quickly too.

Highly recommend. This is a drive in so its great if you don't want to leave the car. All of the classics with hamburgers, hot dogs, corn dogs, BLTs, and even chuckwagons. Prices are the only reasonable ones left. Staff was super friendly. Only downside is cash only(no checks credit or debit), not a big deal I just don't carry cash often. I will be back anytime I'm in the area!

We came here from Statesville, just riding around taking pictures.... I would have posted pictures but we kinda ate it all. It was super good!! Best burger by far that we've had in a very long time!! Definitely worth the drive!!! Super affordable!! And staff was really nice!! If you are looking for the best burger around, this would be the place!!!!!

O'Dell's Sandwich Shop has been in business for many years and the fast food there is excellent! They do not have a dining room but I usually eat my meal in my vehicle or at their picnic table. The best hotdogs I've ever tasted anywhere! I also love the Big Moe basket with fries. All of their food is cooked fresh while you wait. All of their meals are good here. This hidden gem of the fast food industry is one of my very favorites! It's like going back to a better time! I highly recommend this restaurant! 👍
