Amazing customer service- without asking, the lovely employees held items up front for me after I called and inquired about them, price was significantly lower than Lowe's also, and they had in stock exactly what I needed that day! Everybody was super kind and helpful!

This place was GREAT! I was replacing an old dishwasher for the Mom-In-Law and ran into the whole "Hello Old plumbing fittings...Meet the New plumbing" situation. Instead of defaulting to going to one of the National chain stores, we found Foothills Hardware near her house. REAL GLAD WE DID! They had the tools and the fittings I needed. The people were very helpful, the store was clean and well organized. I BIGTIME wish they were closer to me in Reidsville.

The quality of wood is significantly better than Lowe’s and Home Depot. I’ve personally observed exterior grade 2x4s from here and Lowe’s for a few years in similar areas of exposure. The owner and customer service is top notch. I enjoyed seeing everyone there while remodeling our house. Support this local business! I’m also loving they are carrying Stihl.

Foothills hardware and lumber has become a top notch business to get your supplies from. Skip the big box stores and come here first, you won't regret it. The staff is very knowledgeable and won't steer you in the wrong direction. Best place to shop.

If you live within twenty miles of Foothills drive past the Lowe's and buy from Foothills. The floor reps know their business. The owner and General Manager are top quality people. The sales reps make Building so easy. The buying experience is what you used to get before big box companies but for the same price or less than the big box stores. You get top quality people and service and leave without doubts about what you're going to do.

Extremely polite and knowledgeable staff. The store is much cleaner and better organized than when it was known as "Discount Builders". They now stock Valspar Paint and have many new additions! The new owner has done a fantastic job with this store and I would highly recommend stopping here before you think about driving to Winston or Mount Airy to Lowes!

I really like this place. It's like a smaller Lowe's Hardware. These guys have a great selection of just about everything you would be looking for when working on a house or outdoor/indoor project. They carry major name brands of power tools and are even a certified Stihl dealer which definitely scores points with me. If I had to gig them on something, it would be their lumber selection. Even though they carry different sizes of plywood, 2x4's and other materials, it appears they only have lower grade lumber. You have to keep in mind that this place isn't a Lowes giant store so they can't have quite the selection that they have but they do a pretty damn good job with the space they do have. Not only do they have a lumber yard but they have a landscaping yard as well. But as much as I like this place, I would like to have a better choice of lumber.

They had what we needed and more. the employees were helpful and friendly. The prices are fair and they were the only place between pilot mountain and mount airy to have vermiculite. Thanks.

Best for quality and quantity, care about you and your patronage, if out of stock, probably just ran out unknowingly will order asap overnight for YOU, great service, staff, ask ,compare prices. Local. Great to go to talk to some intelligent people who know their business.

Very personable, easy shopping, good selection of the most used items, comparable prices. You can shop around or request assistance if needed. A lot of items are available for pickup and many more can be ordered. They sale grade 1 wood.

The employees are very knowledgeable and helpful respectful and dont mind helping explain things that you are unsure about I love going there not just because they always have what I need but their tool selection makes me drool thanks Foothills hardware you guys are amazing!
