Yes, well listen up all you haters out there. I have been coming to this store for 20 years. The person you have described as rude, it not true! She is the sweetest thing you have ever seen. I can only remember one time and that was about a year and half ago that one girl was rude and Lashae let her go because of it, I was the one who complained about her. So she is now gonee. But let me tell all you haters, Read the sign on the door. Cant you read? it has been ther for years. When she has to leave on ememgency she always puts the sign on the door. And as far as the review for the wedding that claims you walked around for two hours, I was in the store that day buying product. You didnt walk for two hours and I heard the whole conversation. You and your girl(s) were undesicive, So stop being a drama queen. Google the webpage people first, like any intelligent person should do before you go shopping, you would also see that her hours are posted on google and facebook. If the store is closed it is for emergency only. Whic is also posted on the door. In the 20 years I have been at this store that has only happened once. Get off your car and read the notes on the door. Give the women a break, If it is closed she has a sign posted. For your information she gets rid of anybody who does not help her customers. Yes, that owner is sick, deadly sick, but still makes an effort to help her customers. I know cause she did that for me. She also delivers to your home and mails me my stuff when I cant get to the store. Is winston going to do that deliver to your door? So show some compassion and give that poor girl a break. Also to you haters, the reason she has low stock is because two other stores have closed and they are all coming to her because she has great prices and product and those customers take it out faster than she canget it in. If she is out of product, it is because she has been bombarded with the customers from two other stores who closed,. I know because I am in there often getting different items. My friends from Yadkin County and Carroll County now come to her. As far as you haters who want to go to Winston, Go ahead, I went last week while in winston just to compare and there prices are higher, My girlfriends from Winston come to Mt Airy Cause it is less expensive. So go ahead and spend more. Also, the inventroy is not old, it is updated constantly and they are constantly checking their shelfs to make sure the products are in date. Kudos to the owner who has always treated me with respect and dignity and so has her newest staff member Flo. Well,she is great. Super Service.. They are the kindest people. I love going in ther Mt Airy Store, YOU ROCK. Thanks Flo and Lashe. And Lashe I wish you a speedy recovery. May God bless you sweet child. And people be nice!!!!

If I could leave zero stars, I would. This is the WORST Merle Norman location I have ever visited. The inventory is terrible, and what is left on the shelves is old, dried out or rancid. It would appear they haven't restocked in ages and don't plan on doing so anytime soon. Store hours vary from what is listed online and at the store. Rarely open,but hostile and impersonal when they are. They never have the free gifts when you buy 2 items, and they never have the newest color selections. Very disappointed. Had a friend who stopped in to buy the new fall colors and they sold her the spring colors instead. LIED, and said they were new and fall. Ended up buying the REAL fall collection in Winston and had to return the fake collection. Such a waste of time.

Luckily, there is a Merle Norman in Hanes Mall, Located in Winston Salem. For me, it is a drive, but Melody and her staff are absolutely amazing. I visit this location in person when I can, but when I can't be there in person they gladly ship my order right to my front door. Definitely recommend purchasing from them. Always fully stocked and happy to assist you. Products are never old, or stink either. Give them a call. Avoid Mt. Airy like the plague!

I mean where do I begin? Should I start with the fact that the owner of this store is the probably the rudest person I have ever met! We decided to go into the store to speak with her about an upcoming wedding that a group of young ladies needed makeup done for. We went in person because each time we spoke on the phone with her she kept changing her mind about what would be offered and pricing.

When we arrived we were ignored by the three people who were “working there” I say it this way because clearly they weren’t working. After we were finally acknowledged we were told that we needed to walk around outside for an hour and then come back. Keep in mind it was 40° outside when we were asked to do this. But oh well we agreed because we really wanted to figure something out for the upcoming wedding.

We come back after walking up and down the street looking at different stores (not many were open either) we are ignored again and waited almost another hour to finally be spoken to. A lady spoke to us for a total of 10 mins (not even the lady/owner we wanted to speak with). So you are telling me no one working there could of took 10 mins to speak to us instead of us waiting for almost 2 hours. While we were finally being spoken to these people started to make hateful comments about the lady we told them was doing our hair for the wedding. We told them that our hairstylist wanted the makeup done first because it shouldn’t take as long as hair. The owner hatefully said “Ahh no that’s not an option, you’re going to have to get that changed. We don’t do people’s makeup unless their hair is done because we post pictures of our clients on our Facebook page and they have to look put together.”

After this I was done but the bride wanted to give this place one more chance. So we scheduled an appointment for Monday so we can once again figure everything out. We arrive at the store and guess what it is CLOSED. Never once got a call or message on Facebook about her having to cancel the appointment so we wasted gas and our time to show up and she wasn’t even there!

This complaint does not even include what we had to go through the other day when we finally went back to discuss everything. That is a whole other disaster story! Not to mention the snarky comments she was making about her customers while we were speaking to her in the store!

If this is how she treats her potential/regular customers something needs to be done. This was supposed to be a good experience for the bride and now she is worrying about makeup.

Lets just say we WILL NOT be doing business with this hateful lady we would rather do our makeup ourselves then to continue to go through this women’s drama!

Never open. That is ok your not needed. I can place a order over the phone from another store to ship to my address.

Probably one of the worst businesses I've ever seen. When are you OPEN???? Drive there today arrived at 10:30 not open. Went back at 11:30 not open. Sorry excuse.

Stopped by looking to purchase a grill and it wasn’t open. We came within the hours posted.

never open!! Going to Galax or Winston..I know someone will be there!
