Met my dream dog during one of their visits to PetCo in Madison. All volunteers were informative and kind. Donna has gone out of her way to get me Thunder asap! I would definitely recommend going to them to adopt your future pet. Great attitudes, quick responses, and amazing hearts!

Called this morning to ask if they could remove a dead armadillo from my yard. It was picked up before noon. There was also an opossum that was hit farther down the road that I hadn't mentioned. They picked that up too. I appreciate the good service. Thank you.

I called Madison County Animal Control at 7am this morning to pick up two very nice dogs that had been dumped at the end of my road, where I live. An officer came at 9am, and gently had the dogs get into his truck. I could not have asked for a better encounter, the dogs weren't scared or mishandled in any way.

December 15th, our big dog, Alice died. Before she died and when she collapsed, my husband and I struggled to pick her up, place her in the truck and take her to the vet, but because we both are 69 and 70 years old, respectively, we could not pick her up. My son suggested that I call the non- emergency police department and , maybe they would send over some officers, so I did. The first officer was so kind and attentive, Her name is Janice Posey from Animal Control. Anyway, Alice passed away before we could get her to the vet. Ms. Posey and another. kind officer picked her up and placed her in our truck for us. I wish I had gotten his name! Today we received a condolence card from M.s Posey. Thank you Madison Police Dept, Animal Control and to the two great police offers!

I had many dealings with Madison County AC and they where very nice and helpful. Yes, they lease space in Huntsville for their pets since they do not have an actual shelter. They where downsized recently but for the area they service do their best. Yes, there is room for improvement but everyone can touch their own noses and criticism a bit less. Foster, Adopt or Donate!

Pleasant lady in the office. I think for the area they cover they are understaffed and have no space for the amount of stays

Terrible customer service. Makes doing the right thing way more difficult than it should be! Ignorant “wanna be cops”. They forget they are on the low end of Public servants and are a complete waste of money with a terribly infrastructure. The reason they have a 1.9 star review and that’s being generous. Waste of tax payers money!!! An Audit may be coming soon

Called to get some information and while I was starting to ask my questions, was immediately caught off by the guy and he said that "he had got into something" and transferred me to his co-worker whom is a VERY RUDE woman. She introduced herself as a member of the police dept, which I wasnt trying to talk to, but I thought I heard wrong, so I asked if she said Police Department and then she just lost her head. RUDE response and acted like I was inconveniening her. It's no wonder this place has all low stars. Customer Service here is mad low and if no fix is to be made, they need to shut this place down.

So, do animals only need to be rescued Monday-Friday from 9-5 or something. I don't think the animals know that. For as large as Huntsville is getting, you'd think the county would have a better system

Called and asked for them to please come and get a female pit bull from our residence that had been roaming our neighborhood.. We had her in our garage. They supposedly took down our address, and said someone would be out. No one ever came.

We finally released her from our garage. It’s really sad that picking up dogs is their only job, and they can’t even do that...

It's pretty sad that they block people on FB for no reason but expect people to adopt when they can't even ask questions on their posts because they are blocked for no reason other than someone's personal opinion of a person. They take it out on the poor animals. They want donations from the very people they block on social media as well. Since they have blocked me for no reason I am sure I am in the "do not adopt" list so I will be working with Limestone Animal Shelter when we are ready to adopt again. Well, we're not exactly wanting another dog right now but if the right one came along we would go ahead and adopt now which is why I follow the local shelters and to help people reunited with lost pets. They are a part of Huntsville Animal Control as well, which is the official FB page.

Animal control just drove by my house and told me it was illegal for my dogs to be out front on my property with me off a leash(they're just laying in the grass while I'm on the porch). According to leashing law 5-44 subsection 1 as long as they're within line of sight this is perfectly legal. The more you knoooow

Wow! I am truly left speechless from the lack of customer service. I reached out via Facebook messenger to ask a few additional questions that I couldn’t get answered from the website. Immediately the response is cold. When I try to explain that I still have a few more questions, whoever was replying back to me has not only offended me but also has unfortunately turned me off from adopting from them. This truly should be addressed because if that’s how they treat humans trying to help them give these animals a home, who knows how badly they are treating the actual animals!

Called them about my neighbor holding her dog down beating it in my front yard because it had gotten loose. The young woman informed me that unless the officer sees the abuse, and as long as the dogs have food, water, and shelter they wont do anything.

I called on someone nearby which isn’t something I wanted to do but they were being cruel to their animals ... I gave them the address and explained the situation to them over the phone 4 times all to different people over 3 to four weeks they opened an investigation on me the one calling someone else in... I know being government they have to record these conversation... so after being harassed by animal control over their misunderstanding for 3-4 weeks I call a supervisor and he doesn’t believe a word I’m saying and tells me he is gonna have to verify.... I’m just totally blown away at the ignorance from this office, like I know y’all can do better... I clearly don’t have any animals yet I got a tag 🏷 on my door five or six times from the same lady I kept telling had the wrong address she called me a liar and repeatedly that said I was being cruel after I explained to them 5 times that I was the one that called about another address.... then I get a firm o I will take care of it from the supervisor who also called me a liar How refreshing right...
