Cafe Racer Coffee + Donuts

This place is a hidden gem and has the best breakfast in the greater Athens area in my opinion. You have to order online in advance and do a pick up time. There is no inside access only, drive thru pick up only. In the best way possible it’s like one of those hole in the wall places that has the best food you’ve ever had in your life. Every time I come to Athens I want to come here. Their biscuits, donuts, and lattes are incredible. I love the master biscuit and their donut holes. Once you try it you’ll want to make it apart of your Athens itinerary every time

Holy cow! I’ve driven by this place for a LONG time and never stopped. A coworker was like you’ve got to try their donut holes. So I did today, and they were simply amazing. So I was nice and gave him one today. Now he’s told me I need to try their biscuits. I guess that’s next in my list. Oh, the coffee is good too!

This is my special treat place- for me and my dog, who gets free bacon! I drive 35 minutes for a biscuit and coffee. But they are unlike anything else in Oglethorpe and Madison County and there is no substitute! Friendly and kind service makes us feel special. Lawn chairs for hanging out and free smiles.

The BEST burger in town! You have to try the Cafe Racer burger! So delicious! Perfectly grilled, cheesy, extraordinary! A must!

Chris is a coffee artist! And the donuts we're delicious. Today's flavors we're Espresso, Wild Berry, and Lemon Zest. We got some of each to try. All wonderful!

I've driven by this food truck a million times because it's at a bar by my house a couple of times a week. One day I was at creature comforts and the cafe racer food truck was there. Was not expecting chorizo fries!!! YUM!!! I'm hooked. They're always friendly and fast. Can't wait to try the donuts!!

Literally the best biscuits I've had in my life! Tater Boi, 5 Star.. Any biscuit we have tried is phenomenal. Donuts are awesome too. Cappuccino is also fantastic! Great place! I

You walk up to a window and order your food, then you can sit and wait in your car for them to call your name. I wish there was some sort of outdoor seating but the food itself and staff was nothing less than perfect!

Cafe Racer has the best burgers, biscuits and breakfast tacos...bar none. The ingredients used are so super fresh. Burgers are expensive for sure, but the ingredients are so fresh, we feel they are worth it.
The only thing I do not like is a 20% tip is automatically included, although you have the option to lower it to 10%. I mean...we pay $11+ for just a burger so why include a 20% tip bringing it up to $13.20 for one burger...that is a bit much especially since orders are picked up through a pickup window.
The people running it/working there are super nice, and every single order has been right thus far...and we are now going every week...twice a week.

Everything was awesome, the jam they put on the biscuits was incredibly. When we showed up our dog was given a piece of bacon, so we know she'll be ready to go back at any time!

If you haven't been, look up their menu online beforehand to decide which biscuit/donut is right for you. Make sure you get there early or order online, they were sold out of donuts at 10AM on Thursday!

I had heard really great things about this place and it exceeded my expectations. We tried three different biscuits, all of which were packed full of fillings and super tasty. The coffee was very nice, not bitter at all and not overly sweet- way better than Starbucks and comparably priced. Of course we also had to try the donuts. They’re the not too heavy and were fresh and flavorful. I also appreciate the COVID protocols in place so you don’t have to make contact at pickup like many drive through places. Overall would highly recommend.

This place is a MUST!! Drove 30 minutes (one way) to try this after months of hearing about it. So worth it. Tiny little place on the side of the road that you would never guess makes food this good. Biscuits are wonderful and their donuts are some of the best I've ever had (especially the one with cinnamon). Don't miss out on this! The staff is super friendly and they are currently doing online ordering which has been very convenient. They are also being very safe regarding the pandemic so extra star for that!

Years ago I realized I did not like donuts because they were too greasy. Weird, I know. Then I met Cafe Racer and tried their blueberry donut. Oh my goodness! SO GOOD. Home-made taste and cool Indy feel to the location and all that goes with it. The coffee is also most excellent and tasty. The folks at Cafe Racer are super friendly and helpful. Also you feel like you are a cool person because you know about them. Give them a try!! Worth whatever drive you have to make.

I drove 40 minutes to get my biscuits and was not disappointed at all! Seriously the best biscuits u have had in a while. Order online then go get it. Yes like other reviews stated I did have to wait about 10 minutes past my pickup time but it was amazingly fresh so it was worth it. This teacher gives it an A+

Am a big fan of the place and use to come more often before the pandemic. Food is still great and people lovely. However, came back to some changes that I think could use some adjustments. One, I believe a menu is needed on the building or QR code to a streamlined menu page. The website menu is hard to find and you have to click on each individual item to see the description. Folks in front of me who were a little older and myself had difficulties.

Maybe one side of the place should be walk up and the other drive though. I don't know, but there is confusion with people not knowing weather to walk up or drive up.

Lastly, the loud speaker could be heard from my house in Athens. I jest, but it's seriously ear splitting standing anywhere close to it, especially while ordering. Perhaps point them up more?

Saw this place on my way to the animal hospital this morning. So I decided to stop and see what they were all about. I ordered a latte and the sausage biscuit. My goodness people that was the best biscuit I have had in years. Even the latte was just amazing it wasn't too sweet it was just right it was great. Do yourself a favor and stop in here for breakfast. The owners were so friendly and upfront about what they had and even offered me suggestions on what I should get. I will be coming to this place for a long time in the future! I highly recommend these guys!

The biscuits are excellent!!! The coffee is pretty good too. The ladies have always been nice. Definitely stop by if you haven't.

Cafe racer is a drive up breakfast restaurant. The are only open in the mornings during the week. Perfect place to grab coffee, biscuits or donuts before work or school. Owners are amazingly nice and provide fast service. The coffee is great and they offer several flavors or add ins to customize it to your liking. They make homemade donuts and have new flavors often. I have not tried anything there that has disappointed! A little pricey but still reasonable esp considering the quality!
