Island View Resort

The cabin we stayed in had all the amenities you would expect. It was a rustic feeling, but very clean and well maintained. If you're looking for a nice place you can bring a boat, relax, and enjoy scenic water views.

We absolutely love Island View Resort and staying here every year. I've been coming for 20+ years with my family. We have 4 generations who have vacationed here through the years. Jeff took over ownership a few years ago and has been doing a great job keeping up with the place and making improvements since. Great views, nice accommodations, kids love the beach and playground.

I have been going here for years. Owners are amazing. There is a playground, beach, boat slips. The town is literally 2 mins down the road for everything you need or forgot. They have a Fishing Charter as well.

It's an amazing spot on Lake Huron, with nicely put together cabins and available boats for your usage (extra fee). A nice distance from St. Ignace and the Sault, and plenty of nice restaurants nearby. Cedarville is always a yearly trip, and the labor day trip we take is always something to look forward to.

What a beautiful place to stay. My family and i stayed in the vacation house. The 3 beds and 2 full baths was amazing. One of the bathrooms was also recently remodeled! Very clean. Kitchen was great, fully stocked with dishes and cookware. The view of the lake was just breathtaking. Owners are great! Easy to get a hold of if needed. My kids enjoyed playing on the playground, watching the boats, and feeding the ducks. Great location. My family and i were able to make multiple day trips to various locations: Garlyn zoo, bear ranch, st. Ignace, Sioux locks, Mackinaw city, and tahquamenom falls. Highly recommend this resort. Would definitely stay again in the future!

Best kept secret in Michigan. Truly the most amazing resort we’ve ever stayed at in Michigan. You can rent a boat and even go on a fishing charter. The hosts, Jeff and Christine are incredible. Wake up to gorgeous Lake Huron views every day. Most magical place on earth :)

Been coming here every october with our hunting group for about 4 years now. Owners are wonderful and very friendly. Resort is dog and hunting friendly as well. Boat rental is very convenient if you are looking to catch pike or a limit of perch. Cabin 4 has made a great base camp for the past couple of years with many memories and stories to share. Our group has all intentions of coming back year after year!

Had a great time at this quaint little hideaway! Our cabin was huge and very tidy with a fantastic view of lake Huron and the chain of islands along the northern shore. The real wood burning fireplace was essential to any northern getaway and it's surprising how many rentals in the UP don't offer this!
Pros: lots of hot water and free hardwood. Very clean. Pet friendly. Amazing views. Direct lake access
Cons: The exterior really needs painting. The windows and door facing lake really need to be updated as they are very drafty. And lastly, the owners might want to be a bit more generous with toilet paper. 2 small rolls barely covered the two of us for the two nights we were there. We left a six pack and hope that the owners can pay it forward for the next folks! 😁

My dad and I shared cabin #1 for a long weekend and it honestly couldn't have been better. The cabin was quaint, but had character and all of the appliances we needed.

Highlights of the weekend included catching a ton of fish (13 of them in 2 hours!) with Island Charters, bonfires right in front of our cabin overlooking amazing sunsets all 3 nights, and spending time with the Lipple family.

The Lipples are genuinely kind and caring people and are really good at what they do - whether that be hosting at the resort or charter fishing.
This weekend allowed me to spend real quality time with my dad and aunt and uncle, which I will remember for years.

Just got home from a week at Island View Resort in Cedarville. What an amazing week! Jeff is a most-gracious host. I almost want to give it a one-star review so others won't find out about this amazing place. Les Cheneaux Islands is a very special place and this resort is the perfect launching point for all your on-the-water adventures. We stayed with a large group in multiple cabins. All were clean and well-kept.

I just spent an extended weekend at Island View Resort. It is really a great place. It was very peaceful with great views to the beautiful waterfront. The fishing was also a lot of fun. I had a small stream running just to the side of my cabin. It was awesome sitting on the deck listening to the stream. The owners were also great and friendly. Highly recommend.

Just spent our first weekend at IVR (though we've visited countless times before, as our extended family has been staying there for years). We had a great time! Caught a couple of pan fish from the dock (to the delight of my five year old) and enjoyed a short excursion on one of their pontoon boats.

Cabin #7 was cozy, and had a beautiful and direct view of the water. I appreciated that the property layout allowed me to let my son play on the playground a safe distance from the water and also in full-view of many of the cabins. I could enjoy conversation on the cabin deck while he enjoyed the playground and other kids.

The previous owner seemed to do a nice job for the 30 years he ran the place. Yet, for a young family like ours, we are excited to have a place to stay with a young couple bringing new life and a fresh perspective. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Clean, modern cottages, well kept and well managed, in beautiful Les Cheneaux Islands. Owners Jeff and Christine are very welcoming and make you feel like old friends on your first visit, which won't be your last!

Island View Resort is a must stay place when visiting the UP! The property is very well kept and has great access to the water and amenities that make it feel like home after a fun day exploring nature. The owners are incredibly hospitable and connected us with a wonderful fishing charter service, Island Charters. Thank you all for a wonderful experience, we will for sure be back!

Have loved traveling here with my family the last several years. The views are great, the owners maintain the property and docks well, and they are always helpful if something comes up. They have dock space available for personal boats, can supply firewood, and there is a playground for children. Also the property is located very close to downtown Cedarville for groceries, restaurants, beer, and attractions. Charter fishing available too.

Love staying at the Island View Resort. Cabins are very nice and the property allows for a great view of the water. Just booked a cabin for Memorial Day weekend and the following weekend, looking forward to getting up there! I’ve had a great experience dealing with the new owner, he made booking a cabin very easy and also gave me recommendations on which cabin would be best for my wife, dog, and I. Great place to be!

Island View Resort is absolutely amazing, it has all the Bell's and Whistles!!! They have different size Cabins to fit all your needs. You are right on the lake Amazingly Beautiful Views!! If you have children they have jungle gyms, swing sets, slides, princess castle, sand area for them to dig in. All you need is your toothbrush and food, Cabins have everything you need, fully stocked. Very comfortable and cozy, fire pits to roast marshmallows and have snores, you have your own deck and you can barbeque. So much to do, docking for your boat, swimming, fishing, or just relaxing. The owners Jeff and Christine Lipple are the bestest. Y'all most definitely need to give it a stay !!!!!

We just spent a weekend at Island View and what a great location. Great pike fishing in the bay and open water is only a couple miles away if you prefer trout and salmon. We stayed in Cabin 1 because it had a tub and everything was cozy and clean. We are looking forward to our next trip UP.

Great resort. Great people. Great views. Highly recommend. Clean cabins and bedding. Well stocked kitchens and great fishing right out of your front door.
The only downside is the fact that I have to leave.

The resort is family friendly located on beautiful Lake Huron. They also run a Charter Company so a boat ride to Macinac Island is not out of the question. Very accommodating owners. Love this place!
