Sun n Sand Resort

This place is great! I booked last minute, and there was 1 room left. It was a Jack and Jill style and worked for our family of 4. I would have loved to be in one of the 2 bedroom suites, but we'll check that out next time. The room was clean and cozy, with hardwood floors. Keyless entry, which was very convenient. The weather was beautiful and the outdoor pool was where we spent most of our time. It was perfect! They had some yard games and volleyball available, but we didn't participate in that.....this time around. Nice little swing by the pond area to relax on. The staff were so nice and you can tell they maintain the place well. It's tucked away from all the busy traffic but only 5 minutes from downtown South Haven. We will definitely be back next year!!

This is an older resort with that "old world" charm. The rooms are clean, TV and air conditioner, and all amenities, in good working condition. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pool is warm and clean. The rooms are small, as found in older resorts, but nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. If looking for a resort to come back to after spending a day at the beach in South Haven, or a family friendly resort, this would be a good place to stay! I will come back again, and bring my family next time!

Made last minute plans to spend the weekend in South Haven and ran across this place. I was kind of hesitant to reserve, due to some reviews but decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did! This place is great...I have no idea why there are any bad reviews! I did stay in the Lake House and it seems to be a new building compared to some. The property is well maintained, absolutely beautiful. The pool was salt-water and heated. There was quite a few toys and life jackets for kids, as well as beach towels to use. The nature trails were beautiful too. The only thing I could see is if you were coming as a large family, the room is pretty small. The grounds aren't though and so much to keep the kids busy doing. I think this would be the only thing a large family would want to know before coming. We brought our granddaughter and were in town at the beach all day and were so happy to come back to the resort to wind down for the rest of the day. She loved the pool and large yard to play in. She also really enjoyed the walking paths and we saw bunnies and deer. Will definitely be staying again soon!

Great stay at Sun n Sand Resort. The rooms and grounds are clean. They are pet friendly, which is definitely a perk. They have a heated pool, charcoal grills, fire pits, volleyball net, corn hole and a giant chess game. There is a small pond with a fountain at the back of the property that is peaceful to sit by while you are drinking your morning coffee. There are a few nature trails to walk as well. Cannot beat the price for the short 7 minute drive to downtown South Haven. I will definitely be back!

This place is a great place to stay in South Haven. Please don't read the negative comments . We have had an excellent stay so far. It is very clean. If you are that picky and ticky tacky go pay 200.00 to stay in a corporate hotel. It is amazing. The property is beautiful. Stephanie was amazing. The room was great for our girls trip that we had. Don't pass this hidden gem up !!

We went for a short trip. The room/building was so cute and super clean! The grounds were very nice with a pond and a heated pool. It is minutes away from the town and our favorite ice cream shop.

Exactly what we were looking for. Quiet area, couple miles from downtown, nice pool area and back area for nightly camp
fires. Great value for the money. And yes, the room was a bit tight and internet was spotty. But I would recommend and we will certainly be back!

I love the 80s summer camp vibe. The place was pet and family friendly. The grounds offer fire pits, heated pool, giant chess board, cornhole and other games for rent. They also offer a natural trail. It’s a short drive from various beaches and amenities. The room was clean. Staff was friendly. The rooms were old but clean. If you’re looking for a nice affordable room just for sleeping this place is great!

Great location with quiet surroundings! The salt water pool was great -- no chlorine! The adjoining rooms was also very convenient.

If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with your loved one, this place is perfect! Quaint little cottage style room (stayed in the beach house) with one bed. Freshly painted in a beautiful blue and white color. It’s not very big, but it has all you need. Small fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Everything was very clean! Bed was OK, after reading reviews I brought my own mattress pad to put down under it. Love the property! Gorgeous green space with trees everywhere and pond with water feature! Loved sitting in the swing and enjoyed the view! Wonderful pool deck and chairs. The pool is heated and felt great! Staff is very friendly and will get anything you need along with suggestions of where to go. They even will give you wood and starters to have a fire at night in their fire pits. Best of all was the price! I went through Agoda and only paid $114/night! We would definitely come back!

I have to give the Sun n Sand Resort a great review based on our circumstances and how this quirky hotel with generous grounds became the nucleus of our sons wedding event. The entire wedding party and out of town guest booked nearly every room so everyone was able to comfortably mingle and get to know each other before the big wedding event. The pool area was large enough to handle our imposing group plus other very patient guest and the key really became the fire pit area as this allowed the bonding to carry on into the night. Most memorable was post wedding around the fire when everyone described their favorite part of the weekend. I'll never forget it. If you're looking for perfect rooms and flawless modern facilities you will be disappointed but if you like history, don't mind quirky rooms (every room is different) and especially if you need some space this place is great. The staff was very patient and gracious with our group.

Damian was a great person to book our room! This is an old school resort with small rooms and old house plumbing, electrical and lighting but charm.
We have stayed every year and the renovations continue to improve.
The property is beautiful, with trails and trees on the grounds.
It continues to evolve, hope it does well!!

This is an Amazing Fantastic place. With a beautiful spot like the pond with a heart shaped back porch swing nice fire place spots if you want to have a camp fire. A giant field if you have yard games you would like to play also a beautiful path in nature to walk through from one end of the property to the other!. A beautiful warm saltwater pool! An amazing place to come for just the weekend getaway either with or without kids. Also a wonderful place to stay at for the week if you chose. Or you could book the whole resort for a party or wedding.

Excellent all around experience! I cannot say enough nice things about all the staff, they were so friendly and helpful. We stayed in Beach House room 104. The room was very clean, had everything we needed including microwave & refrigerator, and the bed was extremely comfortable! The rooms are a little small but that was not an issue what so ever, as the amenities and cleanliness completely outweigh the size. Great balcony right outside our door with table and chairs. The grounds were beautiful. We played horseshoes, corn hole, napped on the hammock, and enjoyed the wonderful pool. Had an absolutely wonderful stay and are looking forward to a return visit!

A lot of bad reviews, I don't get it, there is nothing wrong with this place. The location is great, prices for the area are very good.
We stayed in cottage 401, it is very clean and decorated nice. The pool is great, staff are friendly and has everything you need. I'm going to come back here.

My family stopped here by happy accident. We loved it, the pool had nice amenities, there's a lovely little lake to sit by, a large field with fire rings and free fire wood, and a network of trails to explore in the back woods. Also very comfy beds. Highly recommend.

I attended a wedding here and it was beautiful. The property was perfect. The rooms were charming and clean, and the property overall has a vintage feel that takes you back to the heyday of resort life. It's a reasonable distance to the beach and downtown and has a beautiful pool.

The room was really clean the whole place was very clean friendly people would definitely stay there again

We were given the best service we have ever had at a hotel. The staff is absolutely fantastic. Our two year old decided to flush mommy's deodorant down the toilet. Unknowingly, we let the staff know there was a toilet issue. Justin and Cody fixed our problem and couldn't have been nicer. Even though it was 1000% our fault they never made us feel that way. We will for sure come back and recommend Sun 'n Sand to our friends and family.
