I've been going to this store since it opened. The staff is always friendly and helpful. And the products are made to last. I came in not knowing exactly what I was looking for and the gentlemen went through multiple options with me until I found something that was perfect. I came in about 15 minutes to close and didn't feel rushed or like he was just trying to get me out or anything like that. He informed me that the Benchmade I bought for my husband's anniversary gift was non returnable and even asked me about my budget before showing me options. When I made a joke that I'd my husband didn't like it i would just murker him with it, FULLY JOKING, he even laughed. When I came back in a couple days later to grab something else he recognized me instantly and asked how my husband liked his gift. Amazing service and sweet guy!

Absolutely fascinating historical items on the walls, as well as many original and replica items! I was able to find something I wasn't able to purchase online for my veteran, and definitely spent a while perusing the aisles. If you haven't been in, do yourself a favor and go!!

Such a cool store to visit ! So much memorabilia and army gear. Tons of toys knives and all kinds of things. Even if you just go to look it’s worth a visit while in Rockford !

This is one of the best surplus stores I’ve ever been to. They literally have everything and if they don’t have it he can probably get it for you. If you need anything tactical, military bags, shoes , insignias , knives, etc etc anything go here!

Had all kinds of cool military gear. Was a good way to burn an hour or so after work.

My parents just came from Ukraine and were looking for the ammunition for Ukrainian soldiers. My friend recommended me Rockford Army Surplus store with a big variety of items and good prices. When my parents came there the service exceeded all our expectations! The store is very organized, with high quality products and reasonable prices. David the owner of the store was so patient to explain the differences to non English speaking people, convert the sizes himself and even to carry heavy plates to the car himself. This made our day! Thank you David and America for help fighting for justice and freedom!

My first time going their today with my wife. I was absolutely stunned at the inside after walking in. I've been to surplus stores before, but this place was magnificent. They had a huge variety of real deal military surplus from all different countries, and some very rare items that you don't see everyday at some really good prices. I will be going back their soon. The owner was very friendly and nice. Great atmosphere great people.

Cool place lots of stuff for the outdoors and military supplies. They have stuff for bikers, too gloves vests jacket all leather. They have so much cool stuff need to be seen for yourself.

Great place. Helpful friendly people. Found a cool dagger for a Christmas gift for a RenFaire type person. Awesome camping gear. Great harsh weather coats. And the museum displays are fun to look at while browsing.

Honestly, I was not expecting much walking into the building and was quickly impressed at the selection of stock. Clean and comfortable with no musty smells or questionable dark corners. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Overall, a very enjoyable shopping trip for my upcoming camping adventure.

We are from out of state and happened to find this surplus store randomly searching through the Googlesphere while driving. My wife and I have been to surplus stores throughout the country but never have been to one this well put together. The owner is nice and welcoming. The store has almost any military item you might need, maybe even that small piece you are missing to complete your connection. Regardless, this store does not disappoint. It is definitely well worth the 5 mile detour from the highway.

Always a great experience when dealing with these guys. I would have to say the owner is probably one of the most honest businessmen I've come across in the neverending process of adding to my many different kinds of collections. I remember my first interaction with him was selling 2 Vietnam era rucksacks. He went above and beyond, showing me his offer, what he was going to retail them for and exactly how much profit he would be making. Nowadays service like that is practically nonexistent. Hope to be doing business with them for years to come.

The cashier was a really cool guy. Knew his stuff about the patches and uniforms and he knew the entire store layout and explained it easily. Great customer service. Great quality in even the used items and awesome prices. I recommend this store to anybody and everybody

I would give them 100 stars if I could. Today I came from Chicago to buy clothes, boots, supplies etc for our Ukrainian Army and people who fight there against russian aggressor. They had everything in stock, people were super nice, provided the discount. All Ukrainian people say thank you Rockford Army Surplus🇺🇦🙏

This store is my one stop shop, I work as a security officer and I come here all the time. They are kind,communicable, and very friendly people. They know my wife and myself by name, always good customer service with great quality inventory love you guys you're awesome

Simply the best. Exceeded my inventory expectations. Overall a great layout, clean, and the man behind the desk knows his stuff. You should visit even if you aren't in the military. Great gifts for someone who has or is currently serving.
