A-1 Affordable Electric & Plumbing

I have a 4 unit building that was fully gutted and pretty much turned out to be an all new construction site at the end. I hired A-1 for installing an all new electrical system in the entire building. They did an absolute phenomenal job. Jeff and his crew worked from dusk till dawn even during the winter months without no heat nor electricity as the building was at its bear bones when they started. Jeff with A-1 and his crew went above and beyond and I highly recommend using them for any job big or small. This job required alot of attention to detail which I don't believe a journeyman level company would have been able to handle. All the city inspections were passed with flying colors and even after A-1 passed their electrical inspection, they went through the building and cleaned up very well behind themselves. I live out of state and I was at peace as A-1 handled the job without me needing to be there babysitting them to complete the job. Thanks again Jeff with A-1!!

This company is fantastic! I woke up to a my water heater draining and the shut off valve wasn't working properly. I called at 630 am and they arrived a 1/2 hour later. They moved their schedule around so they could get out by me ASAP. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Reliable, honest and friendly! Definitely cares about their customers.

First time using a-1, and they will be my first call for my next job. Did a water heater swap. I know what work it entails, I know I could have done it myself, but I dont like working with gas and or plumbing in general. They gave me an estimate, and I knew the cost of parts on my own. I paid for the expertise to know what to do if problems or challenges arose, and they did. They dealt with old old plumbing, cleaned up any mess, and came back asap when I called about a potential problem after the install. I know what good work and knowledge is valued at and I got what I paid for. Like I said, I will call them first next time and not even bother shopping around.

Jeff has done many visits to our home in the 4 years we have lived here. He is always on time and responsive to our requests. He and Chris went over and above by working on my laundry room door to give me better access. These are good and trustworthy people!!!

Jeff recently guided me to install a dimmer switch and fix a multi-switch light. He was patient and kept me safe with coaching on a multi-meter test. He’s great and humorous.

I hired A-1 to replaced a gas cooktop with an induction cooktop. The workers (Patrick and Chris) were very courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. They reviewed the installation instructions that came with the new cooktop and installed the associated wiring, breaker, and boxes for the cooktop. They also removed the gas line to the old cooktop and capped it in the basement. The work was completed in 2.5 hours and they cleaned up after the job was completed. A job well done!

This company is wonderful. They have been helping me with my mother's home which the electrical is old. They have been on time and have explained everything in detail and what needs to happen. Excellent service! Came out same day and resolved the problem quickly and professionally. I want to note I had 2 other "electricians" come in and offer to put holes in my walls to "fix" my electrical problem.

This was never needed. This gentlemen came in, tested a few things, and knew what the problem was before FINDING it. This expert analysis of the problem led us to finding the bad wiring and boxes.

They returned my call and showed up to do the work when they said they would. For those who call often for services, you know this is hard to come by, so it was a nice change. They quickly resolved my outlet issue at my primary property, and did a quality job installing an outlet at another property of mine. I will be sure to call them in the future for any electrical issues I might have.

Had the team from a1 come out to run a new riser pipe and move my meter outside. The guys did a great job and definitely knew what they were doing. They were very professional and polite and were done early. The pricing is very fair for the experience from these gentlemen. Wouldn’t think to call anyone else

Great electricians. I moved into a house and had an inspection done. The house needed electric work. I called A1 to go over the house again to make sure the inspector found everything. A1 found several more problems, two potential fire hazards, which the inspector missed. A1 did the work for a really good price and of high quality. They replaced some outlets, rewired something in the breaker box, installed ceiling fans and some lights, put in covered outside outlets, and put a sleeve on wires under the sink. They work fast and answered all the questions I had. I highly recommend A1 for your electric needs.
