DaVita Forest City Dialysis

My experience with this davita has been nothing but good,facilitated/social worker is one of the best I have had yet,she goes above and beyond to make sure you are good,staff are awesome as well,nurses get you meds and drink while techs get you hooked up and get you started on your treatment,David ttys to give as little pain as possible,and their newest member,Mar tried not to make you bleed when disconnecting,Darla and Jessica are very good at their jobs, Katie,Charlene,Mariana,Tish and David make an awesome staff,thank you for you extra ordinary care

TLDR: I strongly suggest using the clinic on Rockton Ave instead. It is run so much better and they were quite professional and kind.

This facility is a joke. The woman who runs it seems to be going through some personal issues, but it's not okay the way she speaks to people and i get the sense that all the employees are on edge because of it. She is consistently rude, snide and is completely unconcerned with the patients' experiences. I cant tell you how many times I arrived only to have to wait 20+ minutes to be hooked up to the dialysis machine. There were a number of unpleasant experiences and off-putting experiences in this facility. One example: I have thyroid cancer and when i arrived i told the nurses i would need to leave the facility at 1:45 to get a full body scan. They got me off at 2 so i was late and i was lucky they were able to squeeze me in later in the day. When i brought it up to her she got strangely emotional and angry, as if i were personally insulting her, when i simply brought up that its important for them to respect their patients time and make sure they're disconnected on time for other appointments. She lost it and started yelling at me in the lobby. It was so surreal.

Another example: my central catheter became loose and every time I came in I asked the nurses about it. Every one of them said it was fine. But it actually came out while I was sleeping and i bled quite a bit. I was lucky nothing serious happened, but you'd expect medical professionals to understand a central catheter line shouldn't be sliding around.

if you are in the area i stronly suggest the Davita clinic on Rockton Ave. I had nothing but pleasant experiences there. The difference in attention, quality of care, and atmosphere was very noticeable.
