K&P MUFFLERS II INC

Brought in my 2015 subaru sti for an exhaust leak from a custom exhaust I had installed 8 years prior. (The original install was done in a different state at a different shop, and the job was done poorly.) They not only fixed the leak by adding a flex pipe, but also fixed a heat shield issue too. While I was there, I learned they also do most mechanic work. So I had them replace my brake pads as well. All the work was completed quickly and for a fair price! I've already recommended them to my coworker for a repair, and the quote for her repair was also a great price. Also, the lobby was clean and decorated really cute. They will be my new go-to. Highly recommend!

While I'm aware of the negative reviews this place has received I can only rate my experience. I have been using K&P for the last 6 years. I was recommended to them by the Rockford Auto Plaza where I bought my car from. I have been treated very respectfully each time I have had work done on my 2006 Accord. They have showed me the problem before they worked on anything and explained to me my options and price. After the work was completed they showed my the completed job and explained everything they did. I don't think you can ask for anything more than to be treated fairly, honestly, and respected.

Owner is just down right amazing he brought me out showed me the repairs needed! Explained the process and gave me quick service that was affordable! I would recommend this place to anyone who is tired of being screwed by over priced mechanics!

What I thought was my muffler and Google to find a reputable business and they came up close by with great reviews. They didn’t hesitate to take me on as a walk-in and were very friendly, they diagnosed my car and were very honest that it wasn’t the muffler and even told me what it was and that I was safe to drive back to my place to get it fixed.
Nowadays you don’t get this type of true honest customer service and I truly appreciate them for it. If I was local they definitely would earn my business!

Had a busted exhaust. It was patched up in 20 minutes by, I think, the apprentice who did a great job. Good price. Clean and organized shop. Deffinitely going back.

My muffler was so loud that I wanted to wear ear plugs! Took it to K&P after reading the good reviews- and it’s was an awesome experience! Super clean and quiet waiting room. Said they’d have it done it 20 minutes- but only took 15!! Price was very good as well!! My new favorite muffler and brake place! 6 stars out of 5!!!!

I've been here multiple times for exhaust work and always satisfied. This last time I had multiple check engine codes and my truck was running terrible. They did a full diagnostic and figured out the problems and now its back on the road running great. They even fixed issues that a different shop left behind that I was unaware of. I will continue to use KP in the future. They went above and beyond.

We were welcomed by Maria. She took our information and directed us to have a seat while retrieving a technician. My husband and I explained what happened regarding our muffler the technician understood and was told, to give them the allotted time to diagnose. We got a call on the situation and cost. Oscar completed the repair and we left the shop very satisfied!

Called in to have damage checked on a vehicle of mine that was stolen. Told me to come in and throw it on a lift so I could take pictures of the damage and figure out next move. Decided on the spot to get the damage repaired. 350 to get it done, owner told me to walk next door to the bar and snag cash out of the atm and theyd drop it to 300. Who else does this? Hardly anyone. While there another customer came unable to pay his full payment and owner haggled the price down so the customer would have enough left to pay rent and other essential bills. Respectful caring and understanding where else do you get this? Took them only 40 minutes to complete my unscheduled impromptu visit for an exhaust that was stolen. The welds look excellent and the car sounds better than before it was stolen. The entire time I was waiting for it to be done the owner and I had constant conversation and I can say his demeanor, morals, mindset and beliefs are extremely respectable and honorable. One of the remaining shops that does everything and doesn't try to scam you out of house and home, I can't even buy a replacement exhaust online to be delivered for this price let alone fully installed. Ill be returning here for every bit of future work that I can't do myself and I will recommend them to everyone I know that needs work at a respectful non abusive price. Other places take advantage of your urgency in requiring a working vehicle. These guys get it done right and you can still drive off the lot and afford diapers for the month. Other shops said theyd replace the whole thing for over 1500. This review was not requested nor discount given to complete one, these guys just deserve it.

They fixed our flex connector on the muffler for $120 vs $250 we were quoted by some place near cherry vale mall!! They were quick too!! Great service overall so thank you 🙏

Customer service has always been great, they always give free estimates. They know what they are doing and always give you options. Definitely recommend for all work needed. They have serviced multiple cars for me and I’ve always been treated very well. Also their custom exhaust work is phenomenal. Thank you!

I brought my older car in for loud exhaust, they showed me the problem, explained the solution and had it finished in a very short time. This shop is honest, has fair prices and they are professional. I highly recommend them. I will not hesitate to bring my car in again.

Very friendly, prompt service, showed up an hour before close on a Saturday due to my work schedule, they got me in and installed a new muffler, section of tail pipe and exhaust hanger at a very reasonable price. Recommend 10/10!!!

Had a rotted out muffler that needed replacing. They showed me my options and had me out in about an hour .... with a full parking lot. I'm a mechanic I can tell you my standards are high and these guys knocked it out of the park for me. I totally Recommend and will be.

They put on a whole new exhaust on my highlander and get a oil change. The price was very reasonable and it was done in less than a hour. I will continue to give them my business in the future.

While visiting a friend in Rockford ( I reside in Maple Park, IL ) the exhaust system in my car failed. After doing a Google search for muffler repair l found KP mufflers' site. Their location was within a couple of miles from where I was staying. I drove to KP mufflers the following morning without an appointment and within 20 minutes my car was on the lift. The staff were friendly and very professional. They showed and explained what needed to be done and the estimated cost for parts and labor (all extremely reasonable). I was back on the road within an hour very pleased.

The best service I've ever had at an automotive center! My resonator was rusted out and I had a few other things I needed fixed on my car. I was in and out within an hour and a half with my car sounding like the day I pulled it off the lot.
