first impression was amazing. food was genuinely just delicious and appetizing. had the pig candy, meat and cheese board for appetizers and the schnitzel sandwhich and philly cheese and everything came out awesome. service was great i think our servers name was Kylie she was very attentive and nice :)

The food was wonderful, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was delightful. Me and a couple friends came here for Halloween and our server was a funny kitty cat man and I would die for him, probably.

All the vegetables during the growing season and grown in a garden owned by the tavern and because of the seasonality of vegetables their menu often rotates which is very refreshing and you can tastes a difference as opposed to other resturants.

The staff were all delightful and very friendly and not afraid to make some jokes.

The drinks were very tasty if a bit pricey.

Overall great place to eat and always great to support a local buisness, just be warned that it is a bit pricey but I feel it is well worth the money!

I have been in Rockford for 18+ years and from my first experience at The Olympic to the one tonight. The food was fresh and hot, wait staff attentive to our needs. This truly is a gem of a restaurant on the Northwest side of Rockford.

Thursday nights are board game nights and oysters are discounted too. Excellent!

Stopped here on a whim as our roadtrip took us around Rockford and we were hungry. Had the chicken wings (the special), fries, and buffalo chicken mac and cheese. Food was all delicious. Just the right amount of kick and cheese was creamy and tasty. Inside is an old tavern vibe. Staff is friendly. Definitely recommend!

My husband and I had early dinner at The Olympic Tavern today. My husband had the Ribeye Steak dinner I had the Poor Man's Lobster. Both meals were fabulous. The drinks from the bar were excellent. We even indulged in dessert, which was delicious. Our waitress was wonderful. We highly recommend The Olympic Tavern.

We had a lovely dinner here. Decorated nicely for Christmas in the dining room. Bar was gorgeous and will be on our short list for a cocktail. Service was very attentive. A little pricey but a perfect spot for a date night or celebration. Highly recommend and can't wait to return.

Pro Tip - go for Saturday Prime Rib dinner. It won't disappoint.

My spouse and I have been here 3 times now and have been impressed every time. Their beer selection is good and they also have good cocktails. The elote pizza is amazing. They are also open much later than other restaurants in the area, and have a smaller (but satisfying) menu after a normal restaurant would be closed.

This place has never disappointed. Great food, great service and just good vibes all around.

Had dinner date here recently with my boyfriend. Delicious baked walleye, rice pilaf with andouille sausage sauce. Perfection. The brandy old fashioned was on point, a Friday treat after a long week. Atmosphere of burning fireplace made for a nice mood. Highly recommend.

Little pricey but you get what you came for. Expect around $20 a person to eat here or higher.

Sadly the my favorite pipefitter burger is no longer on the menu, so I tried the thin crusted pizza and a lemon drop martini. Was not disappointed.

We went on the recommendation of a work friend. Knowing it was started in 1945, I (for some reason) expected a dive bar with above average food. The reality is far, far more positive. The facilities are quaint, but spacious and very clean. Service was top-tier, despite a packed house. The food selection was inspired and the food served was outstanding. We will definitely be going again.

We hadn’t been here in awhile - still as good as we remember. We sat outside and Leslie was our server. She was great - Friendly and efficient. We had the chips & guacamole for an appetizer - very good. We probably could have used a few more chips - generous scoop of guacamole. I ordered the tavern burger with just bleu cheese - good. Regular fries were very good - sent by mistake. Then my sweet potato waffle fries came - sooo good! Hubs had the shrimp scampi pasta - very good. We also ordered 3 drink - 1was s Moscow Mule. We both have leftovers for dinner.

Beautiful place with a truly unique exterior, a cozy interior atmosphere of dark wood and low lighting, and a refreshing and open patio with a great design and good lighting. Waitress was very pleasant. Bit of a longer wait then expected to get us situated, even with a larger party that we had. Waitress was very attentive though. Great food and drinks. Cheese curds are amazing! Definently some of the best I have ever had. Will be coming back soon!

Excellent food. Can't go wrong with the Bison burger and a Barg's rootbeer to wash it down. My dinner companion enjoyed the taste of her bluegill dinner. Fries were also yummy and warm. Staff very friendly and attentive even though they were swamped on a Monday night.

What can I say had a great time. Are waiter Ryan was awesome everyone was friendly. Service was great and this place is family friendly. And as for the food 💯 % cooked to perfection love this place can wait to bring the family

I'm not a drinker but I enjoy a good meal. If you order the Volcano shrimp you will not be sorry! I gave only 4 out of 5 stars because there wasn't really much slaw or salad for a balanced meal but I was full from the large portion of shrimp so in the end...it was a win!
Good food/ packaged well for to go orders. Friendly staff, Clean And the music was not too loud for conversation.

Food was excellent and the help very friendly. The place is very nice overall with a great atmosphere. It is also kid friendly if you need somewhere to go with the whole family. We had a great experience here!

Awesome food and Amanda's service was great! Beer selection just ok in winter months. Can't wait for warm weather for the deck to open along with summer Beer selections.
